- From Chanel's beautiful couture wedding (complete with celebrity guests including Penelope Cruz and Marion Cotillard), to Kim Jones' star-studded debut at Fendi (with everyone from Kate Moss and Demi Moore to Cara Delevingne and Bella Hadid on the catwalk), and Dior's beautiful tribute to tarot cards in the form of an enchanting fashion film, there was a lot to love from the spring/summer 2021 couture shows.
It has been almost a year since the Covid-19 pandemic started to cause disruptions for the entire world - and the virus continues to play havoc with scheduled fashion events, including catwalk shows, which have been pushed back, turned digital and in some instances cancelled altogether over the past 12 months, and this pattern is not dying down just yet.
Couture week took place this week in Paris and, while some physical fashion shows were held, all were done behind closed doors in accordance with the current rules in place in France. Meanwhile, other brands chose to once again present their collections digitally instead, either via fashion films or shoots, or both.
Below, we round up the highlights from the shows and presentations. Here is everything you need to see from couture spring/summer 2021.

Iris Van Herpen should have been asked to design Katniss Everdeen's Girl on Fire dress. Exactly how I imagined it in the books. Gorgeous. Loved every single piece.

yes, we're forgeting Demi Moore's opening at Fendi not to mention that awful collection. Dior and Iris van Herpen are really the flagship couture of this season, I mean, they always has been two of the best when it comes to couture. Special mentions are Valentino, Schiaparelli, Giambasta Vali and Stephane Rolland

fashion is amazing, you see designers pushing themselves every season trying to explore new material and new style, style is very individual and not all are the designers are successful in doing so but you do salute them for their creativity and hardwork

The Way they moved, the Armani clothes obviously made the models FeeL Beautiful, is exactly what beautiful clothing should do, not just hang on you for the world to see.
I love it how over the scenery, the story, the great lightning, superb hair and make up and hair accessories no one notices how Dior dresses are actually beutifully plain and boring. After Iris that no one even comes close my favourites were also Giambattista, Viktor&Rolf and alexis Mabille.

WOW thank you Harper's Bazzar for spring 2021 review on fashion show beautiful crafted dresses very 2021 modern look and colors and glitter glitz and sheerness and shapes from nature fishes and the universe , Bows as accessories on hair designs nice and for shoulders and waists accents for skirts nice simple elegant touch of classic s and some fun clothes with splashes of color and those built into walls so different yet beautiful dresses loved them !! And simple dresses and pant combination s and gold accents on black so dramatic and hair accesseries too!! WOW I was impressed with whole collection!! Thank you for sharing this talented Creations !! If I were a model and someone made me wear that pink nylon net bath scrubby at 4:40, I'd quit. :-D A lot of the fashion is beautiful and flattering, and I love the tarot collection. I also love the movement in the Iris von Herpen collection.

Valentino, Schiaparelli, Armani Privé, the production of Dior was stunning as always. And Naomi Campbell still has the best walk. Really defined the Fendi show. And really incorporating the social distancing into the creative concept of that show, I will say.

Beautiful fabrics, colours and the fantasy themes, the bride on horseback- that dress is a dream for the tall and slender, simple and beautiful, the black evening dress, in the Elizabethen style with the gold flowing from the bodice, so simple but effective, some designers got it right others so so, was that the Palace of Versailles, amongst others in there? Gorgeous 👍.

Can someone please tell me where Balmain Pars is in this best of 2021? I have always been excited to see their shows since Olivier Rousteing became CD.
Balmain, as well as other houses, such as Givenchy, did not take part into the haute couture week for spring-summer. I was surprised not to see anything from Givenchy considering they recently changed their head designer and was curious as to what he would do in this department. Perhaps next season :)
