Unfortunately no one is clarifying how to obtain the boarding pass or check-in for the connecting flight on a different PNR while in transit at Abu Dhabi airport. Visa authorities refuse and dont issue 48 hour transit visa if the transit time is less than 8 hours. Getting scared to plan trip via AUH airport. Please advise.
You don’t need a transit visa, Period. Just arrive at the airport and walk through the relevant corridors or lobbies.

I have one query. My ticket is from Delhi to London (Heathrow) via Abu Dhabi.
The layover is about 3 hrs at Abu Dhabi airport and I have to change terminals. I will land on terminal 1 and have to move to terminal 3 to board my final flight.
Please note that ticket number and pnr of both journeys are same.
I want to know if I have to collect luggage at Abu Dhabi airport and checkin again, or I will have my luggage back at my final destination, i.e., London ?
You will get your luggage at final destination, so relax and enjoy your stop. By the way terminal 1 and 3 are very close and very easy to reach

How did you travel between both the terminals?
@@AkanshaDongre In my case, at AbuDhabhi, the bus took me to the terminal. Then i walked till the security and then the waiting lounge. Hope this helps.

No. you don't go through immigration again when you are transiting, yes you go through security again. You always go through immigration when you enter the airport from outside.
@@madeathome4914 i m planning to have connecting flight which is different airline and i neeed to go to get my 30 kgs baggage claim. In this case, i need to go through immigration process again or not because as my understanding the baggage claim area is like i almost go outside the airport area.
@@duenudom2119 Yes normally its the case with most airport. But I think abu dhabi is diffferent, you only need visa if you are staying at airport more than 8 hours irrespective of connecting or non-connecting flights.

its only 8-10 minutes walk from terminal 1 to terminal 3. Abu Dhabi is the easiest airport I have ever visited.
Do you still need a transit visa here? When you arrive at Terminal 1 and enter Terminal 3. Because I heard, if we have different terminals, we should have a transit visa. I am a student and November 2022 will be my first flight go abroad. And, how we can go to Terminal 3? How we can get the bus to Terminal 3? Please, I really need your help to explain this😭.
Dont need transit Visa all the terminals are connected you can walk from terminal 1 to 3

Urghhh…..Worst Airport to transit in. Considering how wealthy the Capital of the UAE is, you’d think they would have designed their Airport to be better, more luxurious & functional. The Gate areas are a total mess and the staff manning the Gate Counters are lazy beyond words! Really disgusting & decrepit Airport. NEVER flying ETIHAD ever again!
