MY SON'S HAIRCUT AT A BLACK KOREAN BARBERSHOP

- Having curly hair trimmed isn't easy when it's not a common hair texture in Korea. I have searched for a number of months for a good barbershop to take Jun for one of his first haircuts here and someone who I could go to frequently. My goals was to find a place that has knowledge and understands curly hair needs to be carefully trimmed because of the way it grows. I came across Shiba Dreadloc and his expertise on Instagram and express my concerns and he explain in a way that make more comfortable to go ahead with the decision to take Jun there. I have been having the talk with Jun whether he wanted a haircut. At first, he was hesitant because he has been accustomed to having long hair. As soon as we walked into the barbershop, Jun was not nervous anymore and walked in.

Jun was so well behaved. The barber did a good job, even lining up the front.
As soon as he took out the wide tooth comb, I knew Jun was going be taken care of! Beautiful job making sure they get the services they need Diana! 👍🏾😍

Wow mom thank you for finding the perfect barber. There is nothing as hurtful as having someone who doesn't understand curly hair treat you.
I'm not going to presume how Jun felt when he said "Dad, I look like you." Personally, it hit close to home. As a mixed kid, I clung to every observation anyone ever made about me looking like my parents. I still cling to those things.
I understand. I am not mixed but i do not look like my family. People always asked my mother how I was???? Like she found a child and took it home uuurgh

Jun's hair looks gorgeous! The cut looks perfect on him. His barber is excellent and so good with a child. Well done to Mom for finding the perfect shop! I have fine hair that gets frizzy in heat. It took me forever and a day to find the right hairstylist. But when you find them you always want to go there! Jun, you are one little handsome guy!

You found the perfect barber for your son. You can tell this barber was gentle and took great care when combing, styling and making your son feel comfortable. I would go to them myself for a cut anytime if I were in Korea.
That haircut makes a big difference. I love it when he immediately noticed and says "I look like daddy." The twins are so cute, identical and well mannered. I think the daughters hair should be given a lot of attention. She has beautiful hair too to be styled and prettied up without bow all time.

I haven't watched the family for a few months due to illness but I'm on the road to recovery physically, mentally and spiritually. The twins have grown a lot in that time. I watched their 4th birthday bash with their playmates. It was so heartwarming. Then I saw the video with father and son day. Everyone don't have a dad around with their sons. And to to your handsome son get all that beautiful hair cut makes him look more like a boy. Monji was policing the haircut from start to finish, looking out for her brother. They are so adorable. Diana I think large twist with your natural hair would look nice. With twists you can wear them down or place them into a bun with some drop down earrings. ( jus a suggestion)

Korean hair is neat, straight and doesn’t move. Curly hair is rare in Korea. So it is wonderful that you found a curly hair specialist who could do such a great style for Jun. Well done Dianna
The First Asia people on earth had curly hair until they started mixing with the Europeans.
I think there is Korean people with curly hair. I think a lot of them get perms because it’s not normalized in Korea.
This comment sounds really ignorant. Look at the characterization/judgement put on hair textures... Korean hair is neat? Actually straight hair moves more and is less neat because it does not stay in its place unless you have lots of hair spray!
