- Today we are leaving Korea to visit my parents again after being away from America for almost 2 years again. When I visit my parents, I have the opportunity to show Jun and Minji their American grandparents while being are on vacation from kindergarten. During our time apart, we had great times to share memories and videos calls to remind the kids of who my parents so they don't forget a part of who they are and who I am. Both Kyungho and I wants to bring a lot of happy memories of both Korea and America as they grow up confidently in this society by sharing both cultures [Korean& American]. This is an importance to family bonds and experiences of an international family living abroad. Let's continue thriving in excellence.

I have worked as an arts educator, so I can say with authority that Minji's drawings demonstrate her intelligence, being well adjusted, and in possession of artistic talent. Her drawings look like an older child did them.

That just hit me as a super sweet moment that I, as a US citizen, take for granted sometimes. I’m Korean, was adopted into a white family but live in an area where I’ve always been exposed to Asian people.
The kids are such good travelers, and Minji is an amazing artist. Hope you have the best time with your family!
Thank you for pointing this out. This is especially important for Minji to recognized that there are people with many colors including people that looks just like her. We want to continue fostering his confidence as a young child.

@@sarahbloem3287 I’m going to assume you meant that way less offensively than it looks. I, a Korean, am way darker than my Swedish American family. I am way darker than my “white” husband who comes from Irish and French and German family. Yes many Koreans have a light complexion, but I personally don’t consider them white.
It’s also more than a skin color thing.
Kudos to the twins for traveling all that way and not screaming. Awesome. Have fun guys.

Back in 1972 I experienced the very same issues when I relocated to Lynn Massachusetts. My family sent me hair care product and stockings/panty hose. Wasn’t much into makeup then. While waiting for the care package from home I used to use coffee grounds to dye pantyhose so that I could wear them. Stock up Dianna!!
Jun has locks too, stop being so hard on black women looks, I don't blame Dianna for divesting away from this judgemental culture. In South Korea they're worrying about building wealth and health (which is what her family is doing) not foundation types and edges. Stay poor in America

Minji's drawings are fantastic 👏 and we still wear our masks in the U.S. often the only ones. I was in the store and a woman was getting upset about ME wearing a mask. So I started coughing lol 😆 she shut up really quick

12:38 If you keep developing her art skills, she will be a "pro" by her teens or around adulthood. She is already so good. Trust me. Edit: If you haven't already get her invested with some simple "How to Draw Cute" videos on CZcams. That's a good way to start getting her into her craft and then she could learn more skills in the future whether she wants to learn from traditional pencils, paints, or digital artwork. Being an artist is a good skill to have in the future. -Coming from fellow artist here. 😄
