    The connector on the back is super easy to slide off if you just pinch the sides of the case as you pull. While pinching with your middle finger and thumb to cause the bow where the nubby slides by, you use your index finger to push down on the top. I feel like I need to give you my number so we can hash some things out before you go destroying equipment.... Lol The reason they included that case is not to add waterproof capability, it is to serve as a dust cover to people like me who obsess about keeping our products thoroughly clean after use or before storage. Also the case is to add to the premium feeling in transport and serve as protection when traveling .

    One thing I think that would be good with the bone conducting headphones is that you will still be able to hear what's going around you. I sometimes hunt back in the woods and have had people walk up on me and while I was wearing over the head headphones and I never heard them coming.

    Holy mackerel Jeremy. You’re right about the BH-01:Bone conduction headphones. Back when I was a kid I got a perforation in my ear drum. These headphones bypass the ear drum. These headphones are incredible. I had no idea how much hearing loss I had from the perforated ear drum. I hear everything now. OMG

    I developed bone conduction headphones a few years ago for my marinized Equinox 800 so I could hear them underwater with all the bubbles and stuff. I can use them with my sea hunter mk2 as well but with these other detectors that weren't designed for bone conduction the audio output has to be amplified with an external powered amplifier to power the headphones its tiny and waterproofed and loud. you can buy bone conduction speakers on the web and make your own headphones if you want. After you try them in the water you wont ever go back to the other types.

    So I can't find where these bone conduction headphones will work with the Deus I, and the Orx. Do they have plans for coming out with some for those 2 machines? Or do you know of an aftermarket setup that would work with them? I have tinnitus quite bad and I think it is from using the over the ear headphones for so long? I like how you can hear your surroundings with these. I hunt in the mountains a lot and we have a lot of rattlesnakes here so I am leery of wearing headphones there.

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak
      @PaystreakSuperfreak  Před 9 měsíci

      The bone conductive headphones(BCH) are designed for underwater diving. The ORX and Deus 1 will most likely not have the BCH option because they are not underwater detectors. The BCH require lots of battery juice to power them. The remote batteries do not last many hours when using the BCH. These headphones are very very very loud, would definitely rupture an eardrum if slipped over the ear canal if at full volume. There is no way to describe how loud these headphones really are. Regular waterproof headphones speakers are very very weak under water due to hydrostatic pressures on the speaker cones. However the vibrators inside the BCH are shielded and from hydrostatic forces.

    Yes i agree the backbones are not my favourite dont cut out the wind noise . But those bone conducting are the business real game changer for me as i hunt beaches in the uk plus my hearing not good with high pitch tones but these with ear plug cut out the wind noise and i can hear stuff that i can not with the back bones and.with mi6 connect to the machine even here that turn on you can really zone in on what your machines telling you . Been using bone conducting headphones for about 3 years with my phone, mostly for calls and podcasts. You can listen to music with them, but that''s not really where they shine. As soon as I saw the specs for XPDII a few months back, I knew the bone conductors were a definite additional draw. It's too bad the XPDII doesn't have bluetooth connectivity. I'd use my current bone conductors wirelessly for land hunts

    10:07 the NOX wireless cans are a carbon copy of the Bose noise canceling headphones from about 15 years ago. Maybe another one of those patens that ran out and MineLab took the design. The gray plug is for land. The red plug is for underwater. It is an internal pressure sensitive plug. If the gray plug inserted is used more than 3 feet deep of water, the machine will encounter internal water damage and may implode at depths more than ? feet or so. The red plug keeps the internal pressure high to limit the possibility of the machine imploding at underwater depths of more than a few feet. At more than 10ft water depths the external pressure exerted on electronics is great.
