- Out of the archives of previously unreleased Badland Industries footage, I bring you a video on how to fix a really common issue that's plagued Colorado and Canyon owners since these trucks were released.
After this video, head out to your truck and take a look at your bed and cab alignment. With the knowledge outlined in this video know that you can fix an issue you may or may not have known you had.

I have a new 2023 GMC Canyon Denali and the truck bed was mis-aligned causing one of the rubbers on the truck bed to rub against the cab creating a terrible squeak. Watched your video located the 6 bolts holding the bed in place loosened them up adjust the bed and tightened back up. Was a quick easy job so thanks for the video it was a great help!!!
It seems to be a common problem across many brands and models. I haven't noticed any misalignment of my at4 bed. But I may have bumped it in to place when I dropped the bumper on a rock at sand hollow. Lol
Dude, great video. I was recently hit in my 2011 ford ranger and I noticed my bed wasn’t aligned with my cab. I looked at my frame, and it’s not bent at all. Great to see that it’s just a little misaligned and my frame isn’t bent. Thank you! ❤

Just bought a 22 colorado and my bed is slightly off as well. The dealer approved the work but its been over a week and they still havent gotten back to me about dropping it off. So tempted to try to fix it myself.
Having the cad files for both trucks I can yell you it looks quite similar

I also shot it 2 years ago lol never published it and felt I should share it.
I had a brand new 2017 Ram 1500 with the same issue of the bed not aligning with the cab. Under warranty, I took it into the dealership to let them fix it. Come find out, the bed was correctly mounted, but the cab was shifted to one side. The dealer said they never saw that issue before.
It's just the nature of vehicles these days. Unfortunately
Factory is usualy pretty straight put on. BUT after a few years it’ll get loose if you go offroading
1- If you have something heavy In The bed of the truck and slam the brakes it can move
-2 If you have a Forklift Droping a Palet of materials on the bed and the forklift Drops it and Push’s it forward dam we’ll better believe that the truck bed will shim into an crooked direction
Quite a few of these colorados all got built offset a little bit. Usually only becomes noticeable when trying to fuck tires
Yes thanks I have a 24 f150 and thought it was my axle sticking out more on one side than the other turns out it is the bed not being aligned

Can you do a video on removing the oil pressure sensor and installing a oil pressure gauge so you can always tell real oil pressure.
I think we can do that. I'm sure my buddy zac has plans for that.

Can you adjust height? I have a 2019 colorado and the bed is higher on the right side.
That's caused by chevy lean. You cam switch your leav packs from one side to the other or replace them.
How big of a gap should be in the middle, between the bed and the front? I'm seeing a used working truck for sale, and the gap between the cab and the bed gets wider from bottom to top.
It should be relatively even but a vertical gap change may suggest frame issues.
Is it the same thing for Silverado beds ?
Not having a Silverado I don't have experience with them. But being a gm vehicle and knowing the cab and bed are mounted similarly I would say the process would be nearly identical.

@BadlandIndustries I loosened 6 bolt three on each side and I couldn't get it to budge
@@kenmcclung1560 do you think the bushings were stuck to the chassis? They're slotted kinda like the first gen.

Is this the same for Tacoma?
I would assume this would apply to any cab on frame trucks.
Aerodynamics?better gas mileage?....more downforce for when your at the track?

Not trying to be THAT guy but if you loosen the bolts youre obviously gonna have some movement...
But the bed comes misaligned. Loosen, adjust, tighten.... bed won't move again.
