David Russell Apartments/Fife Park (DRA FP) Tour - University of St Andrews

Follow starTV on a tour around DRA FP, the biggest hall in St Andrews, with a few current residents. It has 33 buildings: 19 were built in 2004 (DRA), and 14 were built in 2015 (FP). Apart from that, DRA and FP are basically the same. Each building has around 12 flats; each flat has 5 bedrooms and a kitchen/living room area.
We visit the car park (0:16), reception building (0:25), computer area (0:46), pool tables/bar (1:11), canteen (1:20), events room (1:33). We then move on to a Fife Park flat (2:08), bedroom (2:50), bathroom (3:38), and kitchen/living room (4:37).
• 1109 en suite rooms with double-size beds (275 are for postgrads)
• 12 shared en suite rooms with single-size beds
• 49 studio apartments also available for postgrads
• Walk to... Tesco: 20 minutes. North Haugh: 10 minutes. A beach: 24 minutes.
• Mix of catered and self-catered residents
• Catered students get 14 meals per week (no lunch on weekdays, no dinner on weekends)
• Rent for 2020/21 is between £6,094 (self-catered shared room, Sep-May) and £11,723 (catered single room, 50-week contract)
• Not shown in video: laundry room, piano and drum kit within the music room
