This city game low key showed me Arsenal can win the champions league.
You see it
Spot on! Score us if you can!
I want the champions league more than the EPL.
Hmmm🤔
Two at Emirates that's it we in the semis
Never forget the potential of that second last fixture.. imagine winning the league at Man U again 🙏🏻
I love it and I think i deserve it
@@Belligol.They want payback for the 3-1
Ayo if we do that we would have won more pl titles at Old Trafford than Liverpool have in general 😂 (Liverpool fans don't kill me that was just a hypothetical joke)
@@johnrockyryan we just need to win the league at the etihad and the toilet seat to complete the set
Last season arsenals second to last fixture was against notm forest away and lost 1-0
Listening to videos like these is such a blessing because we are starved of excellent, objective and intelligent analysis. People like you are supposed to be on the screens speaking to the people about the game
Gatekeepers? Are they a non-league team?
Facts!!!
@@sunnychima9489arsenal beat City 1-0 on aggregate
whilst I agree with you generally, he is generally really good. but this was more emotional than facts and felt a bit like clutching at straws! but hey I'll take it, CYOG!
This team are the real deal. No doubts. #COYG
I love this channel, it's made me a way more sane fan
@reeceflem the comment i was looking for
this🙌
That intro was hilarious 😂😂😂
Every part of this video was hilarious 😂😂 just love this guyy😂❤
kept replaying it before watching the full video
"Maximise" the pressure on Liverpool:
1. After Thursday Liverpool have 3 home games and 5 AWAY games left
2. Maintain or increase Goal Difference advantage against Luton and Brighton
3. Forces Liverpool to give up the Goal Difference fight and drift into a "Only 3 points matters for us" mentality
4. That mentality naturally causes teams to focus more on game state and creates closer games
5. Closer away games = higher probability of home team piling on pressure and getting an equaliser.
That is the only thing Arsenal can do to help their odds (slightly) of winning the league, apart from obviously trying to win every remaining game themselves.
Good point
If we can beat Luton and Brighton then I see Liverpool getting a draw with Man U, that's our way back.
This is such a robotic way of seeing football and it's all built on the variable that Arsenal thump Brighton and Luton which are unlikely because Arteta is gonna need to start resting players. Arsenal have had the least XI changes amongst the title contenders which means that he relies on his preferred 11. Luton/Brighton are NOT bad enough that they are gonna be thumped while Arsenal have 4 starters rested.
Arsenal's best chance is to hope that OT has something for Liverpool or that the three consecutive away fixtures harm them. Fulham away is a hard place to go to, even harder if Liverpool concede first which is becoming a habit, but Goodison midweek after that is brutal. Everton are much better away but congestion and fatigue could get to them. West Ham are too inconsisten
@@ninjatap615I don't know if I agree. I think Villa Park will be the toughest game of the lot for Liverpool, second last game of the season and they'll be fighting for 4th. Fulham will absolutely give Liverpool a hard game away, for sure. I think even if they win at Old Trafford there's a lot of football to be played. Even if we HAVE to rest players, I don't think Saka, for example, has been in great form,so we won't miss him all that much if I'm being honest. The only players we can't do without are the two CBs, Rice and Odegaard. Everybody else we have good cover for. Martinelli, Jesus, Zinchenko, Tomiyasu, Nelson, Trossard, Nketiah, Partey, Jorginho are all fit and available now with games played recently enough and are players that are in and out quite a bit/used for cover at times. I would agree on your goal difference point, however, it could be a factor for dealing with City. They currently sit 11 goals behind us in goal difference. You wouldn't have to "thump" teams like Luton to make that uncatchable quite soon. Even with a few narrow wins over the next 3 games we would still be well into double figures clear of City on goal difference and that could be huge, because there'd only be 6 games left after Wolves.
I would also like to point out that the only reason Liverpool have had more changes to their 11 than us is because it was forced. Half their squad has been injured at some point during the season and therefore that number is basically irrelevant. City obviously have their infinite squad so it's not really a reliable stat. I would be more concerned about City's strength in depth, can't help but feel like Liverpool's biggest strength is their emotion and momentum. The worst thing that could happen to them is to lose drop a few points and lose that momentum, because I don't think they're great at grinding results out away from home (with some exceptions like Forest), I could be wrong.
You have a cute imagination
You are quickly becoming my favourite Arsenal-based channel.
What a video! Alex is the most entertaining football youtuber out there by miles. Great Storytelling 👍
Very kind. Thank you mate
Quality, thoughtful, presentation
Arteta has evolved as a manager, as well as the players. They stuck to their given instructions and nearly won the game if trossard had a better touch to lay a pass to martinelle. Overall happy with the performance from the team on Sunday and we'll win #COYG
That has to be the next step for this team, being ruthless in those situations especially when the game is tight. And honestly I think the current players are capable of adding that to their game.
It's the one reason why I think Liverpool have the edge in this title race. They are incredibly clinical with their chances.
The problem was never Arteta. It is the players.... last season we had Holding and Ramsdale in the team for the last 8 league games, they made lots of mistakes which costed us.
This season is different....saliba is fit...,. Ramsdale has been replaced by a calm and composed keeper. The whole defence is calm and disciplined.
If you remember well last season we were conceding stupid unnecessary goals .
@@totsh2056Liverpool have had 572 shots so far, 199 on target (34.8%). Of those 199 they have converted 67 (33.7%). Arsenal have had 484 shots so far, 172 on target (35.5%). Of those 172 they have converted 70 (40.7%).
Well said mate! I'm optimistic and relaxed. I have been along this journey for more than 22 years. This is the best I ever ever felt post Invincibles.
We have to keep believing we can beat any team, keep working hard and staying focused.
Alex, your sense-making approach to otherwise complex or emotional issues is impeccable. Just like you, I’m in no rush because we are building a system/mechanism that’ll dominate for a long time. I’ve seen this through my professional career and it works. Arteta is building something special.
The reaction we didn't know we needed but got 💯💯💯🤝
As a lover of defense this game was wonderful for me. I have so much faith in our back line
I agree looking back now, a defensive masterclass. At the the time it was a tense and uncomfortable watch! Considering how bad we were with keeping possession, it was a very valuable point!
The difference in Mourinho's Chelsea is those teams would park the bus against EVERYONE. That was their number 1 and only tactic. Arsenal can pull it off and have had to pull it off a very minimal amount of times.
Right? What impresses me the most is our team can play different styles... and doing it against top elite teams.
I love dis closing part..imagine doing it in d pep open bracket and klopp close bracket era..with d image fading..Nice one❤😊
Well said it Alex!
Let's enjoy the journey.
Great video!
The fact that we are learners is so overlooked and underrated. Last year we build a squad to get top 4 with. Which, if you remember correctly, was something lots of people didnt think we would make because 'we bottled' top 4 the season before. And what did we do? Finish 2nd. The criticism? We didnt win the league. How did Arteta and the rest respond? Did they say: 'look in all fareness, we overperformed'? No. They bought Rice. And Havertz. And Raya. And we didnt even get to see Timber yet. So whatever happens this season, Arteta will study it, and bring in whoever is needed to bring in trophies. And that, is called progress. No trophies yet, but once we are up there, it will be like ketchup. Look at the age of this team. We are at the start of a 5-10 year cycle. And no other PL team is in the same position. In Europe, only Madrid have prepared the same way by getting in loads of young talent.
Very reassuring analysis. I was one of those guilty of thinking we were too negative at the Etihad but you brilliantly refuted that idea. And the vision you share, showing the upward trajectories of our era and the inevitable decline of Klopp and Pep's... Wow! Empire Arsenal here we come!🎉🎉🎉
Bro, you are getting me with the emotional monologue. Loving the content legend
you speak into existence everything my heart feels for Arsenal. Thank you very much. W content as always ❤
Awesome content. ngl, I have been quietly confident all season... and as the season draws to a close... I have been getting more and more confident coz of some of the reasons you have discussed. We can believe!!
Been following you for a while now and this is my first time commenting. You are the most pragmatic and realistic commentator on the Arsenal. Your analysis is always insightful and this video was nothing short of brilliant. Love your stuff mate!
Thank you so much. Very very kind
Journey before destination boys!
Hey I saw my face 😀
Top work Alex
Love your work SO much Clive. Hope we meet in person soon 👍🙌
It was intense in its own way, this game. I remember looking at the individual battles, especially the center backs v. Haaland and our fullbacks v. the wide players.
Calling our defensive strat "parking the bus" is such an intellectually-challenged comment, when obviously there's so much more to it.
Your videos aren’t long enough. More of this gooner goodness please. Brilliant analysis 👌
Thank you so much
you could feel this season we are playing with freedom of mind. last year the team was still not ready mentally. this time we will get over the line with maturity and confidence. COYG!
Mr. Moneypenny is on his Bond-level snark in this video. Its fantastic.
COYG. Absolutely love your content!
Loved your appearance on sds hope to see you more
Another banger TDK! Love your astute analysis. I can't watch pundits anymore
One of the best channels I’ve found this season, and I’m not even an Arsenal fan 👏👏
both teams basically play identical to each other. cancelling each other out was the only expected outcome imo
Always quality Arsenal content from you Alex. Well done 👍🏾 once again.
Fantastic - as always mate! Had a nice semi-preview of this through your chat with Tom yesterday. Arsenal fans deserve you see and hear your analysis!
top video again Alex, quality content. Love to see it.
😂😂😂😂 guy your funny,"I got it somewhereeeee , yeah THE TREBLE WINNERS "🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 like the edit the echo 🤣🤣
"But but bu- we won on field trip" i will absolutely take it!! rahhhh
Did you watch Mikel’s press conference this morning? He said we’re very close to reaching Stage 4…
I'm betting my house Alex watched it 😂
Alex defo knows every stage
Alex did a video on it a while back.... Haven't missed any of his videos since..🤯
Link please?
Kopp invented the fist bump 😅 that is too funny.
Seeing the extended highlights on the city channel made me see an even game attacking wise where Arsenal had the best chances to win the game. Even the city fans agree.
Class 💎
Your point about rotating the team and using the squad is well made. I think Arteta learning to do this as well as the likes of Guardiola, Ancelotti, etc. will make Arsenal stronger.
Thanks!
Sean - just seen this, my apologies! Thank you so so much and apologies for the delay! Really appreciated.
Really love this channel! Always learning
If we don't win anything this year I'll be disappointed but not worried because I'm positive we'll be winning trophies in the very near future. Next season we'll be even better with a few additions and Arteta with one more year of experience.
Ive been excited about the team for a few seasons and every year we get better soon we will win lot's of trophies for a consistent period.
You got it right.. Point 1) squad.. Today against Luton five changes 🎉❤
Arsenal is being Sandwiched between 'monsters'..Klop and Pep... that's Definitely a good learning curve for the Club, the players and the fans, a brighter future ahead.
And this season.. we have been the monster hunter 😂
I'm fine with us not winning it again this season, I'm just happy to see my beloved Arsenal playing beautiful football again, with this group of young, insanely talented and hungry players, as well as a manager that's also growing with them on a team level. Titles and silverware will come, it's only a matter of time and playing our cards right. COYG
And most importantly, improving. COYG
Wow..Arsenal fans so wholesome..that is so good to watch. Much respect!
The end of the video is very encouraging
Another brilliant video mate!👏👏👏
I have a feeling that we'll win the League at Old Trafford!!!!!
Another great video and analysis. ❤
Thank you!
How can Arsenal win the league: Win every game and hope for the best (easier said than done). If we do and don't win it, we showed a very good account... I have been watching Arsenal since 95, and I love what Arteta is doing rn
9:00 glad you brought that up. It does my nut in when people act like the fans and players have synchronised periods 😂
something isn't talked about enough this season is that arsenal is outscoring man city and liverpool and they conceded less goals than them too
AND they won the face to face with them at home and got draw away
so in essense, if there is a team that deserves this title, it's arsenal based on that.
This video gives me hope
Great content Alex, keep it up! 👍💪
Great video yet again. Your point about Arsenal looking forward whilst City and Liverpool will soon be looking back is spot on and something more Arsenal fans need to realise. However, be interested to know your opinion on how much more time Arteta has to not deliver. As in, how many more trophy-less seasons are you willing to give him if you doesn't win it this year. I don't want him out, like most rational Arsenal fans I can see clearly what he's done for our club and what he can still yet do for us, but we also have to be realistic, in that we can't just keep waiting indefinitely.
Just wanted to let you know I love your work always very interesting entertaining and this 1 I found myself feeling pumped and inspired to actually believe we can do it keep up the good work
Been watching your videos for a lil while and finally sub bc you’re the only one that actually breaks down the tactics in an understandable way and covers every aspect of why the game went down the way it did
You're welcome. He knows his football.
11:39 mate! 🤣🤣 The glow up is unreal
Great segment
Bro I died when that “Lifeless Chelsea” banner popped up 😂
Just take it one game at a time mate.
Stunning work, mate!
Bro! You are an incredible motivator!
Liverpool play Sheff Utd at Anfield tonight & no-one expects anything other than a home win obviously.
It’s been widely stated that all 3 title contenders will have 8 games left, after tonight.
Not many people have noticed that, after tonight, Man City and Liverpool will both have 5 away games and 3 home games whereas Arsenal have only 4 away games.
Graeme (N6Gooner)
Best Arsenal channel ever!
I rewinded that intro a hundred times…. cracked me up 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Best one you’ve ever done 👍💫
Arteta was tired of getting whacked against City time and again so he's justifiably gone safety first - having a player like Rice in front of his centre backs absolutely facilitates this.
No complaints from me.
Prob the best analysis channel on youtube. Sending big respect and top man. Another subscriber.
Another brilliant assessment, keep believing in the process.
The timing of the echo effects is spot on 😂😂
yesss finally, love this channel
"is beyond me 😮" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Its going to be a very interesting end to the season im sure.
City will be pushing hard to try and catch up to 2 teams above them, and with playing Villa next, that could be a very interesting game that pans out. Liverpool will be looking over their shoulders at the 2 teams chasing them and right on their tail. Arsenal are in the middle, only looking at the number 1 spot.
With the games we have to play, its not going to be easy, but if we can get our momentum back and keep grinding out results (as well as improve our goal difference further), who knows what we could achieve come the end of the season. Again, it's very exciting....but will be nerve-wracking 😅
If you actually love football and understand it on a tactical level that game was crazy intense.
If you’re a casual fan it was boring.
For me i was literally on the edge of my seat all game😂
really want arteta to win this season amidst the pep and klopp era to shut people up
Fantastic video. Such a good perspective
Thank you mate
🔥 video.
Well said Bro 👏
Arsenal fan for 14th year now and i couldn't be more happier and more excited. The only thing i wished for was to compete at the highest level, and we got that from Arteta. This team gives me hope, excitment, joy. I cant wait for another game and its always a highlight of the week, isnt it what the football is really about, the passion, hope, commitment? I love the feeling of aniticiation of another game and i am so greatful for this. No matter if we win the league or UCL this season, or next or at some point in the next 3-5 years, but at least we know - we are not going anywhere and this team is here to stay among elites.
the intro for me😂😂
I love this!
Loved your point about next season. I predicted 3 years ago we would win the league next season if we stood by Arteta. Great video.
As always, an enjoyable analysis!
Appreciate it
If Arteta had gone to the Etihad and pressed high and tried to dominate possession the likelihood is that, with the home advantage and a team that is at least as good at that as us, City would’ve taken advantage of this and scored a few goals. All the pundits would have called Arteta naive having done the same last season.
Great sentiment 👍
That intro was hilarious lmaooooo
😅omg I love the last bit so much.
"In the pep(and klopp) era"
Hahaha😂
Everything was okay and then I heard lifeless, nothing to play for.. Chelsea. I bursted so hard and had to rewind again to hear that. COYG
Great content Sir!!!
I loved this video. ✊
