Today I'm looking at all 20 Premier League club's best under-21 footballer. Including: Quansah at Liverpool, Doku at City, Udogie at Spurs, Mainoo at United, Palmer at Chelsea, Ferguson at Brighton, Branthwaite at Everton & loads more! - Zábava
Zabarnyi has been outstanding for Bournemouth this season. Good on you for shouting him out
Loving the stuff you said about Udogie. Also I think Saka is playing in a way more well structured and organized system so its so close between him and Cole for me
Yeah really good point, althought it's not always easy to be as disciplined and part of that structure as people make out. That in itself is a major skill.
@@joethomlinson_ Agreed.
This content is greatly appreciated. It's so good. You have come a long way Joe. Keep up the great work and keep being the amazing person you are ❤
Thanks Chris!
not putting Miley into breakout star is criminal. you said it yourself he is 17, he is the youngest player on your list and basically filled in in the prem and the champions league for us.
Yeah - you might be right. Little harsh on that one.
what a passing skills for 17 y.o. teenager.. also solid physicality
Good content! I also liked the honorable mentions for players who didn't make the list ahead of their teammates. Plenty of players to watch for the future 👌
Fair play for picking Zabarnyi 👏 Shows you actually know what you’re talking about, so many people would choose Scott without a reason why. Zaba has been amazing for us this season and honestly will be at a City/Liverpool level club in the next 2 years like Ake did
What a fantastic signing he's proved to be, man...
COLD PALMER FOR THE WIN
What a player!
As a Chelsea Fan all I gotta say 🥶🥶🥶🥶
Sarr and Udogie would both be breakout stars for me this season
Udogie rn >>>
@@joethomlinson_ Not a chance 👍🏻
i love that joe's been diving into the FBrefs. well done, mate !
Harvey elliot is electric he's getting better and better with those fast pace plays. Quanshah and Bradley are also good at Liverpool.
I am liking the way clark looks as well
@@user-cv8or3dl5d absolutely clark is the primary rising star of liv youth. he will make trent into Mid permanently
There hasnt been a player for ages that im as excited about as Mainoo, he looks like hes going to be world class
Wait do you guys rate Mainoo over Alejandro Garnacho ?
@@Zkelpprr I think the majority of United fans rate Garnacho higher than Kobbie, but personally, I think Garnacho is being overrated slightly. In my opinion, Mainoo has the greatest potential out of the two
@JoshPhilp yeah no at this point it's the complete opposite of that. United fans DO love Garnacho but they also acknowledge - at least the ones with brains do - that he's still fairly raw. Mainoo on other hand has come into the team and been arguably the best player with only really Dalot being a serious contender ahead of him for that
@@JoshPhilpGarnacho isn’t overrated every game now he’s putting in 7 or 8 out of 10s he’s the only player that works hard along with Mainoo and hojlund and is the future of Man Utd and argentina
@@JoshPhilpnope we rate mainoo higher
Liverpools best u21 player is Harvey elliot. He's been brilliant this season
Massive impact, I agree.
Don't mind you picking quansah over him or Bradley though. He's not spoken about enough
I find it weird even a lot of Liverpool fans don't really talk about Elliot a lot, every time I watch him he's one of their best players!
@@JoshPhilp has always done well against United
@@JoshPhilphonestly I think it’s because most people don’t even realise his age. Looking at the way he plays is so much more mature. If I didn’t know he was 21 I’d expect 26.
QUANSAH APPRECIATION!!
What else could there be to say about the man!
Quality vid mate!
Much appreciated!
Surprised you didn’t choose Morgan Rogers as your Villa player, I think he looks a real talent (United fan)
Osula has always looked good in the spells he's been given, runs himself into the ground & is very strong. But, I would have chosen Arblaster. Since coming back to the club & making his debut v Bournemouth, made the midfield so much stronger at 19. MOTM performance in every match since! ⚔
100% agree with Arblaster being our best young player!
Love your content joe!
Thanks so much!
Kobbie Mainoo reminds me of those 60s and 70s Brazilian footballers, that looks so good on the ball and so balanced.
My brother you are probably the only commenter on this video who watched Brazilians in the 60s
@@xJeffHD 😂😂 I don't know if that's a compliment or not but, if anyone gets a chance, watch videos of the Brazilian national team from back then and Santos with Pele and you'll see what I mean about Kobbie Mainoo.
He should partner with proper tall CDM.. aerial is the weaknessess
Very good content, please make same video on German, Italian, French and Spanish leagues
Zabarnyi has played the most minutes in the Europe across under 21 years 😳
Good list Joe
Anyone else think Mainoo reminds them of Scholes. Not even a United fan but I think they’re so many similarities.
Don’t think he has that long passing range that I’ve seen
@@joethomlinson_you cannot compare 18 year old long passing with Scholes as a mature player. Was Scholes long passing as good at 18?
Aaron Hickey is class. Trust, linked with a move with Man City to be a long term Walker replacement. But yeah he starts every game when he's fit. Just picked up the injury at the wrong time because people have forgotten how good he was
Yeah - fantastic potential. Such a shame about those injuries.
Great bit
I waited all video to hear what he had to say about udogi and was not disappointed. This man knows ball
Quansah is now Liverpool's first choice partner for Van Dijk. He's better on the ball and better in the air than Konate.
Come back and do it again. George earthy last couple weeks of the season my boy delivered
Agreed.
COYI.
Hey! I’m a big jhon duran fan - Physical, pacey, aggresive. Just the player I like! I expect him to play a decent amount in rotation with ollie next season.
As a Fulham fan we have some promising youth talent in the academies but we haven’t brought any up surprisingly. Though Stansfield will be a shout next season
Reyt channel this, keep feeding it🤝
why not conor bradley??
Quansahs been even better
@piggy666 absolutely no chance Bradley is hitting similar numbers as taa
@@Archie-vm5mqComparing a center back and right back by numbers was enough to say “I don’t know what I’m talking about”
@@Larsd69he said to Trent, not to Quansah
@@Al-po8dv Well no, he said Bradley was better this season than Quansah because he’s hitting the numbers Trent would get.
But that doesn’t make Bradley better than Quansah who’s been reliable all season long, solid defensively and composed on the ball. Besides that one mass to Bruno he’s been phenomenal this season. While Bradley has been great for just a short period while Trent was out.
If you don't count Palmers penalties then he has as many goals in PL as Garnacho
Zabarnyi should 100% be in breakout star. Behind Solanke, our player of the season. Will be playing for a Champions League club within the next year and a half.
Love when you ground your rankings with the stats. But then it draws attention to the ones where your ranking with the heart and not the head
Arblaster is Sheffield uniteds. Future star 💫
Absolutely here for the Arsenal shade 👏🏼
Duran is a special player as time goes on you’ll see more of him especially in European competition
His level is top!
Man, I would not want to be on the end of one of his shots, not sure I can remember a more powerful shot since Roberto Carlos.
durans stats for the season
Jhon Durán 10 (27) 8 goals. pretty solid imo
Shame Koleosho at Burnley got injured early on. Honestly the best prospect I've ever seen play for the club.
Murillo is definitely the most FUN centerback too watch this season I'll say that
I am happy for Branthwaite. Udogie as well.
Everyone going mad about Palmer .. debating whether hes elite level or over rated.. how about we just let young lads develop without social or media pressure and wait to find out lol thats the beauty of it.
Feels like yesterday that Dele Ali had produced better figures from midfield than gerrard and lampard at his age for the time and narrowly missed out on a prem title 2 years in a row and made a champs league final.
Agreed
@@ScrimboEdits thanks bro.
Damn.. I see you 👀
You make those subs through you shorts? Imma sub n check out your content 👊🏼
Honestly, the only thing Pep got wrong with Palmer, even if understandably given their attacking depth, was not proving there was a pathway there for him by giving him more game time. Wasn’t he told something like fight for your place or get sold after asking for a loan?
Palmer said he was told loan was off the table. Stay or go and he went!
Pep did say earlier this year, "if I'd given Palmer the similar minutes I gave Foden over the years, he'd be an integral part of the squad but thats on me".
Think murilo should be breakout star he only played 13 Senior game before coming to forest and dont see them holding him in the summer big team be after him the way he finds a pass or even try a shot at goal from his own half
get the ball to De Bruyne doesn't sound bad, but "get the ball to Cole" is a lack of tactics. 😂😂
Personally think you e done Wilson odobert a bit harsh but I think you should watch a full game of Luca Koleosho against Nottingham Forrest both are 19 for Burnley
it's actually shameful that Mainoo isn't the chosen one here even if he's only played half a season
the boy is displaying the kind of natural press resistance we haven't seen in a football player since all time greats like Xavi and Pirlo; and yes there's still a lot for him to work on, and no it's not a guarantee that he'll turn out that good over the course of his career; but the boy is completely unique for a holding midfielder not just in the premier league, but in the entire world. Every time I watch him play, it's as if time just moves slower for him every time he's got the ball. He's an absolute prodigy
Mainoo and miley should be in the same category both getting the same amount of goal involvements in the league. Miley doing that with 11 less starts. Not to mention when these played in the same game against eachother Newcastle won 3-0 in the cup.
Murillo is the chosen one, would love him at united!
I think we need a new Rojo type axeman tbf
Malo Gusto has been massively impressive for Chelsea. Could’ve been a shout.
Been awesome - but over Palmer?! Come on.
"could've been a shout"
Should have put George earthy in there for West Ham he got a couple of mins at the end of the game
Mainoo has a great passing range. Right now it’s hard to compare it to pogbas as he’s probably top 20 greatest passers in football history
I'm yet to see that long range passing from him, maybe I'm sleeping on it
@@joethomlinson_ he was doing it a few times in pre season so he’s more than capable of it but I just think cause there’s a lack of control in the team he’s not doing it as much. Even Bruno isn’t doing it as much
wharton has been class.
I love this guy...
Agree totally with all the selections. Maybe Udogie and Palmer can both be the chosen ones as they both have been unbelievable in their own ways
Morgan Rodgers has been excellent since arriving from Borough.
Murillo should be breakout star
Sheffield united, Arblaster is our biggest talent by a country mile after that it's brooks. Osula isn't particularly highly thought of due to how long he's now been sniffing around first team football for 3 seasons now and hasn't made much of any impact. Similar to jebbinson.
MURILLO was signed by NFFC for approximately £11.3m (64m Reals), setting a new Brazilian league record for his position. He had a dozen appearances for Corinthians, debuting just a few months prior to joining Forest. Despite being a rough diamond, he hit the ground running and has become skilled at attempting very long-range goals. Murillo has settled in well with the help of the other Brazilian players at the club, and is expected to become a future star for Brazilian national team.
He is class…..
Altough as a Spurs fan he almost got me a heart attack at the weekend…….
wish they could send scouts to my side😭
Sheffield uniteds wonderkid is Oliver arblaster who ATM is one of our best players and won young player of the season
Joe plz clean the mic cover 😩. You've got some hair on it IG💀
Cole Palmer really is a chosen one. He has to be nominated for player of the season, and I think he should win young player of the season ahead of Saka. He is definitely having a better season than Saka, but Saka might soon PL
Yes 4 goals but he gonna dele ali it
Mainoo is the best breakout star by FAR nearly the chosen one for me
Its definitely Bradley for Liverpool. Far more wonderkid potential
loves an own goal, sure his surname isn't Carragher?
@@granth1238Quansah loves a back pass to the opposition
@@lk7923 haha very true
It’s upsetting that you didn’t look at Ollie arblaster for Sheff Utd wonder kid. Feels like you just picking the first name you saw.
crazy how many comments this video gets compared if you posted the same thing on fd it would get like 30 comments lol
Please do the same thing on FD we need to talk
I don't think it exists anymore unfortunately
We all know if this were based on whole teams (in this catagory) Man Utd would be S tier :D
Muric can't keep getting played over Trafford after the game today
Duran is going to be excellent.
I think Garnacho is having a much better season than Kobbie
kobbie mainoo should be up at the top with palmer
He said Gooooners 😂😂😂
1:00 Arsenal might not have a wonderkid per se but they have a younger average squad age than all but Chelsea and Burnley (per Opta).
Yeah - the squad is still young!
@@joethomlinson_ As a Gooner, it's thrilling!!
tbf, it's only younger than Chelsea because of the one outlier, Silva being 40 years old.
My chosen one is Rico Lewis 🎉
Cole Palmer is my boy ❤❤
Mainoo is currently the best midfielder at Man UTD
Forgot adingra for Brighton
Palmer is so clear of saka this season
Perhaps bias is creeping in being a Newcastle fan, but to say Lewis Miley “isn’t as naturally gifted as…” shows you’ve not watched enough of him. Future England international, mark my words
Exceptional talent, as an arsenal fan I think he's best of the lot
Miley is really good
I would probably put Bradley ahead of quansah
What about Charles sagoe jr
SHOULD HAVE PUT ELLIOT FOR LIVERPOOL ONLY 21 AND FEELS LIKE HES BEEN AROUND FOR AGES
Adingra has been quality for Brighton I think he is their best prospect
He ain’t that great though
How is Bueno your Wolves wonderkid pick? Ait-Nouri's still a young player after all, and besides him theres probably 3 or 4 others ahead of Bueno not even counting Bellegarde, Gomes or Doyle...
Because he’s not in the cut off I explained at the start. Hence why Saka etc isn’t in there either.
Nathan fraser was the better shout. Great vid as always tho
Mancity wonderkid should be oscar bobb
Quansah should be no where near the top
Not entirely sure what the criteria is, but disappointing to gloss over West Ham. Admittedly, Davie Moyes did have an illogical aversion to picking young players, but on impact alone when he played George Earthy surely worth considering as a 'needs more'?
Maino is the chosen one
I don't see sack winning it now with him at joint top goalscorer 😅
Wtf you dyslexic?
Mainoo is the chosen one
Is it me or is this type of content very similar to another certain channels content 😂😂🤫
Chelsea be like: Choose one
Arensal has Ethan Nwaneri
Zabarnyi has to be in breakout star, he’s been better than quansah and arguably branthwaite, and he also starts every game for Ukraine
Hmmm not sure he's been etter than those 2. The defensive numbers tell a bit of a story. Even with their table position Everton have the 4th best defensive record in the league for a reason.
@@joethomlinson_surely you have to take into account the style of play of the teams they play for? There is no way Branthwaite’s stats are as good in a high pressing Iraola side.
Joe, Hugo bueno is nnot our biggest youngster, we got ait nouri pedro neto. joao gomes
All of them are over 21
22 23 is still young
@@rachelpepper2045 yeah but the video is about 21 and under
how is bueno our wonderkid?
It’s seems you are chelsea fan
No he supports wolves
I honestly think Bradley is on a higher level than quansah
Palmer just scored for goals in one match
Shit man
