The guy who’d spent the past hour pitting cops at over 100mph, running over multiple officers and ramming them into walls? The order to shoot him has been given long before this if you saw the whole incident. He intentionally kept inserting himself back into the scenario after multiple chances to get away.

You would have better luck finding people who don't abuse admin privileges in a game or people that don't abuse moderator status on reddit.

True q is slowly going down and many people playing rust or other servers copixel now
The server always goes to shit around a year after a server reset to release a big update. We are currently around a year and a half into 3.0 and the past 6 or so months have been a mess that only reddit seems to seriously enjoy. Happened with 2.0 and 3.0 and it will eventually happen a year after 4.0's eventual release. Its been especially bad with 3.0 because so many of the lower ranked beat cops(who are very small streamers) always metagame to know when to log in to their cop characters. They "coincidentally" log in whenever there is a shootout, chase, etc with one of the bigger streamers and unfortunately Nopixel staff aren't putting their foot down to stop that even though its a pretty obvious case of metagaming.
Also the RP kind of goes to shit after a year since the server becomes a cops and robbers server. After a large update the RP is always at its strongest since more people are interacting to find their way and try to get their start in a "fresh city".

you new? this has always been the case, koil plays cops for a few monthes malds buffs cops, koil plays crim for a few monthes malds buffs crims. its been like this since 2.0 cept he hasnt been on cop for a good while now, and has less oversight on changes than he used to. and too be fair to koil he cant know whats going on 100% on a 24 hour server sometimes it is cop/crims just crying over nothing.

What he does is he will go on crim and then hear all the complaining that crims have and then he will look into it and then say "oh wait this crim gun is doing too much damage let's drop it down a couple percentages. I know this because I watched him do it countless times all he does is just start nerfing shit that crims have and 99.9% of the time he just leaves it all the the admins and other devs that are cops to change things. Koil is a real ass kisser when it comes to the admins.
Forget being server owner, koil can IC change the PD on Soze to whatever he wants. Viewers are dumb af if they think koil isn't just in his feelings during these takes. The realism argument is always the last straw defense.
Been watching since 2019, (so not an OG fan lol) but I enjoyed the content that happened on this server alot. Though I see myself kind of drifting away from it rn. The streams are not really what I'm looking forward to anymore after work, as I expect this to happen anyway. This toxic cycle that everyone on this server is in, is getting clearer and clearer for everyone to see... I do lurk into the streams tho once in a while 💙
i think "cops" on the server forget that its a video game and that they arent real cops. everyone who plays on the server is just there to have fun, make content and roleplay with everyone else in the city. if everyone wanted to just get gunned down everytime they tried to do any crime related RP, they would just play normal GTA online with the never ending cops who spawn out of no where that you can never lose because they just keep popping up in front of you.
also being a cop on the server is supposed to be stressful. there are a bunch of content creators running around constantly creating some sort of chaos. cops are pretty much the baby sitters to make sure nothing gets too out of control. its not meant to be a server where cops are the inhibiting factor of literally anything and you now have to do everything you can to avoid them.. there is a very obvious reason why people like the goofy cops way more than the serious ones. everyone loves ziggy because he's a good guy with a sense of humor and isnt constantly trying to get under everyones skin by trying to crack down on anyone having a bit of fun. ziggy plays along and has fun too. others like gunner, brian (mehdi i think?) conan, AJ, tessa, mack (most of the time), even andrews knows when to take things seriously and when its just a bit of fun. koils cop characters are the same way, they know when to take it serious or when its just some SBS. thats the difference between a good PD and an annoying one that is just bringing everyone down. it's not necessarily PD guidelines either that make a difference, its all down to the person roleplaying as the cop because its usually the cop who is in charge's choice whether to take a situation to an extreme or not. the good cops on the server always seem to know the difference but there are definitely quite a few on the server who dont seem to care and just want to take everything to extremes then hand out massive punishments for it.
yeah yeah yeah paragraph andy i know.. but koil was right when he jokingly said to baas that "soze said maybe its time to wipe the pd and start over", i think thats really all the server needs at this point. i love the way it's progressed since the beginning of 3.0. seeing NoPixel compared to other servers, you can see all the work the devs put in. you can see how much people care about the server when they are on it every day trying to build their businesses and in doing so they are adding more and more to the city every week. it's awesome to see the dev events and people take part in them. everything else seems to be going well its just the PD that is slowing evvvvvverything down. you cant do a thing in the city if it's crime related otherwise you risk getting caught and spending the next hour or 6 in jail, staring at a wall and talking to your stream while you lose viewers. from an outside perspective and not a streamer or on the server, its easy to say "do this, do that and your server will be fixed" and not know what im talking about but having been a long time on and off viewer of NoPixel.. i feel like im echoing what alot of streamers who play on the server are saying and at the end of the day, what is a streamer going to do? are they going to sacrifice their livelihood and channel growth/progression to stay with a server that isnt willing to try to cater to them so they dont leave? or are they simply going to leave, deal with finding a new avenue that brings in the viewers and money because that is what they do for a living? not everyone is like koil and making money off of the servers themselves by people paying for prio.. most of these streamers only stream for a living and if their viewership is tanking everyday when they get sent to jail for 1 or more hours, who can blame them for wanting to find a different server to play on?

PD should be strong because they are the PD but I think they should have a debuff or something that makes them value their own life more, like a timeout if you get downed before you can be revived so they can start thinking about putting "preservation of life" higher on their priorities than "no consequence for downed, fuck it." I actually love Mickeys legislation for the external affairs to handle reports against police (violating SOPs, endangering other officers via ones actions, not following orders, ect.) like IA but civs so it'll not be biased. Lately there has been alot of escalation rather than de-escalation from the PD even when crims don't get aggressive which is really sad and killing the server.
The only thing that came out of the conversation with baas and Brian was content.. nothing is ever gonna change because the server needs to spoon feed the cops everything. Just look at pd meetings when baas is trying to say things, you got 50 cops bitching and complaining and baas just caves in and agrees with them.

Cops hella OP and will never take an L which is why no one is on the server. Changes need to be made soon.

This is what cops need to realise the entire point of being a cop is to catch the criminal and put him behind bars for his actions in real life if you shot someone how would they go to prison. They wouldn’t so honestly to stop cops shoot crims I think ever crim should just ICU everytime they get shot by cops for dumb shit and then wake up the next day and just take a warrant then it will make cops realise that shooting crims doesn’t make them suffer the consequences. Then they will try harder to actually catch them so they serve jail time

It's been like this since NP started, that's why most people grow tired of watching crim RP and why even RP'ers themselves don't bother with it unless there's a new heist or some new shit. All it takes is a trigger happy cop to show up on scene and your half day of RP/storyline advancement and planning is basically thrown out the window.

Like-- cops are supposed to be held to a higher standard IC (especially) and thusly OOC reflexively. The fact Cops are majority of the power abuse in the server is the issue. The "both sides" argument is about as ridiculous here as it is in real life. You expect criminals to play dirty, cops are supposed to out maneuver that and be aware to watch for things that seem suspect, etc. *Not* answer everything with car mashing, pitting, and bullets.
The idea that a cop roleplayer thinks they should be going for Ws over creating as much content for the criminal and themselves at the interaction is insanity. They have everything paid for, they dont need to grind for cash. They don't need to purchase high end vehicles. They respond to scenes with 15+ people for speeding 7mph over.
It's really gotten ridiculous however, just as a viewer, to see the delusion, and disparity of cop viewers defending indefensible crud. Not even this clip in particular but many others where its just clear theres a baseline problem with the cops specifically. The approach to "RP" is less RP and more self-insert with passive aggressiveness.
It takes a really skilled roleplayer to take on frontline positions in rp, like knights, detectives, police, etc... because you're supposed to create situations of rp while following SOP both ic and ooc for the experience. Cops aren't doing that. Using this entire sequence here-- no cops were vocalizing to them while they were in the car any type of rp engagement. Why? No reason other than wanting to end the scene. That's lazy at best, and not at all what RP is supposed to be about.
I just genuinely don't understand at this point, this late in the servers life, how cops are still trying to justify their horrid rp quality in scenes, let alone lack of correction to blatantly horrible performance by certain officers. Like jesus.. you're on a content server.. the rp should be easier than storytelling servers...? 😖

What's the context though? I don't know what people expect the cops to do when they are being shot at or run over. Even if one person (eg ramee) hadn't shot anyone himself, by involving himself in the situation he puts his life at risk. Which begs the question how is a crim putting themselves in a position to be shot by police any less NVL than the cops running in front of a car to lay spikes?
