A piston-bolt network that allows direct routing from any station to any other station. This means that you don't need to return to a hub in order to go to a new destination. It is limited to 16 stations for direct routing, though it can be manipulated to allow for more stations though only being to access 15 stations at a time.
Has stacked compatible varients
This is also a tutorial world, containing everything you may need to make your own network.

I don’t usually go to yt videos through reddit cuz I hate when people promote stuff, but this was so stinkin cool and the intro is so well put together I just had to. Amazing work!
WOOHOO!!! FINALLY RELEASED!!
Very very well organized! This video will be a very good reference for a lot of very common bolt related questions.
These new developments are insanely cool!! It's incredible how much new stuff is still being discovered and made!
This is incredible, very nice work! P2P rail systems have always been close to my heart, so it's wonderful to see such an elegant and well thought-out design :)
I love those intersections, holy smokes, that’s clean as fuuuuuuuuuuuu.
Love it, been waiting for you to do this, worth the wait completely, also this is how you credit and show appreciation for the hard work others contributed to get to this marvel !!!
The way the piston-bolt encoding works is really smart, I really hope to see this used all over YT soon! :-)
The format of the tutorial is amazing, I love how you just show the shape instead of build it, it makes it so much easier to copy
Incredible stuff and amazing video! Respect for going through the problems one may encounter and giving the fixes, new tutorial style I think is quite neat and overall great job. gg man!
Can't believe I've been redstoning so long and just discovered your amazing work!
My dude, this is INSANE. It looks so much fun to use. I have no idea how people even come up with stuff like this but these videos sure are fun to watch haha
Oman it is finally here! Really cool stuff
The showcase was also really clean and well done
Great job! I think it will find a place in a lot of projects. Also, the more I see those innovations, the more I wanna become a redstone master and find out something innovating. Thanks for mechanism and inspiring! Good luck, and I wish u become popular!
Absolutely incredible! Such a simple but complete system. I would love to work on one of these someday.
DUDE WHY HAVE PEOPLE NOT SUBBED LIKE A LOT, YOU DESERVE A LOT MORE
THIS IS AMAZING!!!
YOU EVEN SHOWCASED EVERYTHING AS IF YOU WERE AN ABOVE AVERAGE CZcamsR!!!
Absolutely insane. Fantastic work!
Awesome! I think personally 16 isn't enough, and if I want more I would rather pick an encoding method that is designed for more rather than patched to work with more. But, regardless, this is great work. Lots of new tech showed off here! those transitions look very clean. Can't wait to see what you come up with for 1000+ stations! (though I think I have ideas :P)
I found a bug...
that you deserve more subscribers ;)
Most of all this seems smp friendly and very viable the diagonals being in the mix makes this the best concept ive seen what an awesome design I thought this wouldnt be feasible but the new tech persistence and big brains it is possible hell of a job from all involved 10/10 would argue again.
So glad I found this video made the whole learning process super easy
Wow the showcase really highlights the potential of the network
D*mn dude, props to everyone involved, that's some solid work.
this is awesome! good job bro
the flying machine to set up rails for you is incredible
By far the most impressive single thing in this video is that tiny diagonal rail curver at 0:54 lmao
nicely done! glad to see pistonbolts are coming along to become the thing I envisioned them to be 5 years ago when I first started working on them!
Nice video :)
Finnaly found this bolt again, now I just gotta find the time to build one in my server
thanks for the inspiration! trying this on bedrock edition. the encoding is quite easy to implement and you can go 3 blocks per tick in bedrock. intersections are quite hairy. still not sure how to get this to work properly but i like the challange! as comparator signals can travel 3 blocks also, a single comparator lign can be used, making it quite cheap. and pistons can be put on same side :p
Thanks for this!! I was looking for this type of station like forever. Can you make a tutorial on how the encoding works if there are more than 16 stations? It's quite difficult to understand what you mean.
I'm your thousandth subscriber
You could expand the capabilities of this machine to have 256 locations by adding a system that puts named item into a chest minecart, and sends the minecart ahead of you. You would arrive at a substation where the item would be picked up and translated into one of the sixteen locations, then sent to your location. It would require a rework of stations, but definitely seems doable for servers that want a automated system for sending to more locations. This would be preferred to other solutions of adding more data lines as it doesn't require any expansion of lines. Only of stations
I don’t usually comment but the routing idea blew my mind, you switched a light on in my head
I vaguely remember I think ilmango making a video years ago on a bug which allowed comparators to have significantly higher signal strengths. If there's still somehow a way to do this in newer versions it could make this encoder have virtually infinite destinations! If you could find a way to run a second comparator line along the current one you could get 16 * 16 = 256 stations, though, which should be plenty, but I can imagine that'd be way harder to figure out and build.
There is stacked books
You can do it but it’d probably be harder because you can’t transmit the overloaded signal strength through dust
@@Obi_ Do you recall by chance what the video I'm thinking of is called? I wasn't able to find it and I want to see how it was done and if it's still possible
@@sanderbos4243 Idk what the video is called but it’s still possible. You can do it using carpet stacked shulker boxes, or stacking curse books in a grindstone. Stacked unstackables inside containers let you overload comparators
@@Obi_ Just found that Kahyxen also has covered it on his channel, he explains it well in his video called "
Overloaded Signal Strength to Decimal"
I have got an idea, how to make 256 stations, why not to put stations in station? U have 2 books, first one chooses zone, second station in that zone. So u have 2 lines of data, first line chooses where goes player and, also, where goes second line of data (why not to fill up gaps in a second data line using pistons and blocks. Then, as soon as first data line reaches it is end, second line just working as usual 16-station system. why not to make in this design? (btw, u cant put second data line in a repeater line (left from pistons) as this line has a one tick desync (i forgot a word in english, sorry)). So, in theory, u can scale this design as much as u want, like 3 data lines, 4, 5, etc (the only question why, cause even with 3 lines u get over 16000 possible stations)
C A R T
nice
Thankyou
Very nice i am just curious how you could acchieve 1k+ addresses
So, 16 possible stations? I wonder if you could make more by having one of these point to point stations act as a “hub” or meta station that connects to other hub stations in smaller networks.
Basically, like a tree structure, where the leaves/nodes are the 16 station point to point networks, and they themselves are connected in a larger point to point network.
So basically, you start by going to the network your destination is in, then move to subnetworks.
Probably only two layers will be needed for 99% of cases, if you even need more than 16, and don’t just make completely separate networks.
16*16=256, I highly doubt you will need more than that.
Thx
Im having problems with an intersection: for some reason one intersection always sends you to one direction when leaving a station no matter what (its not the encoding ive checked it too many times at this point)
B O L T
Hi really nice video congrats for that it's amazing! But i don't really understand what you mean by "stack compatible"?
Stacked minecarts for large-scale item transport over long distances.
@@Meddysbox Oh I see thank you!
Looking at the intro it seems that the junctions can route players at an impressive rate. What is the minimum time between two players travelling on a piston bolt and through a junction? Does the system do something to avoid or reduce the probability of collisions between players arriving at a junction from two different directions at the same time?
A cart can be sent every 10gt (5rt or 0.5s).
It does not do any collision avoidence as those require much more complecated components that I did not want to include in this simple system. I'm working on a much more complex network that will include it though, but design is only really feasible for a large technical server
Wow!! I remember your name from a LONG time ago!!
So what bothers me a bit is, that you can only encode 16 Stations. Cant you use overstacking to get insanly many stations?
The Elytra was the biggest mistake.
what if you want to establish a new station in the middle of the old system? Do you have to rerout the entire system?
It really depends on how you design an encode the system.
Using the 1st method 1 showed
Most branches will not need to be changed, but major intersection might need to
Using the 2nd method, where you are manipulating the encoding
You can make it such that 1-7 goes foraward in the line, and 8-15 goes backwards. Adding stations would just shift where the destination leads to, so you wouldn't need to touch the intersection, though you might need to change the text in the book.
Regardless, changing the encoding shouldn't be too difficult as you just have to flip the pages of the lectern.
When do you think the one with over 1000 stations will be done because im thinking about building this for my smp but wed need more stations
Thats impossible cause the max redstone signal strenght is 15
@@snowed6713 It is not impossible since theres 2 sides to the piston bolt meaning you would have 2 comparators aka 15*15 wich is 225 Stations You could also run an extra line for extra stations or you could flash a signal over the comparator line
Hi, I wanted to join your discord discussing my current work regarding this topic, but the link seems to be outdated :/

Is there a world download/litematic?
www.planetminecraft.com/project/p2p-bolt-network/
It was in the description under "video links" & "downloads"
Can multiple players ride to different destinations at the same?
Yes, as long as there is sufficient gap between the carts
@@Kahyxen how wide of a gap would be sufficient?
How multiplayer friendly is this design? I know a lot of older piston bolts failed on servers.
No world download?
It's in the description
Hey man I built this and something's wrong. The cart doesn't take the player to the proper station. I built exactly how it was on the lecterns and it still brings me to the wrong station. I haven't built 15 stations yet, since it takes a lot of hours just to build the intersections. Can you somehow help me? Or can anyone help me? I don't get how the numbers on the sign correspond to the stations at the 0 station.
Nvm figured it out all on my own.
@@bugoyoutub what was the problem and what did you do?
