I would absolutely LOVE to go fishing with the machine, reminds me of my dad, especially when he says " quit" lol, and the love and passion for fishing, my dad was the same way, as am I, only difference is, I only ever saw my dad fish for catfish, never anything else, but the Ohio River was or back yard.
Flint creek in decatur has a lot of big blues, and channels I fish there a lot and have caught some monsters
when that catfish starts croakn @ ya, you know it's not very happy about the predicament it's in!...you go, Mr. Machine!
Thanks so much for these catfishing videos. They are by far my favorite although all your video are my favorite no matter the species. You have got me all pumped up to go as soon as this storm blows out the area. The wife and I caught well over 200 biiiiig nightcrawlers last night (she's a good woman way better than I deserve and if you could ever give her a shout out I think it would be so special to her but no pressure as we understand there's to much to see it all) and we going channel cat hunting soon. They are the best to eat so the blues and flats can grow biiiiiiiggggg whooooooaaaa. Thanks so much for all you do fine sir. God bless you and everything and everyone you love.

The big blues are running the edge of the shallow flats down here on the warrior. A man can tear them up on live Shad. They turned there noses to the fresh cut skipjack and cut Shad. Keep up the fine work mr gene. Me and mine never miss an upload.

Have to say I've been enjoying learning about fishing in northern AL! Here in northern Maine, I typically fish for brook trout, but do enjoy catching our native cats we call hornpout, which are the brown bullheads. Much smaller than what you've pulled up that's for sure, but they are fun. Of course, I've caught our native white perch, yellow perch, sunfish, small mouth and the occasional suckers and chain pickerel - as well as loads of chubs. I've only ever cleaned trout, but I have eaten white perch that someone else has cleaned - so that I would have to learn how to do with scales and all that. In Sept, we visited family who moved there a couple of years ago and I was considering checking out what I could fish for - but had no idea if my gear would even work. I make my own spinner lures too. I use worms and closed face spincast reels (similar to the barbie pole) loaded with between 6-10lb line and I've also dabbled with fly fishing - but my cast needs work that's for sure! Maybe next time we travel there I can see what my gear would handle! I have never been able to cast off what we call an open face reel like you use, I pinch my fingers every time! And the baitcast reel I tried turned into a tangled mess, so I stick with what I know! I would definitely miss my brookies should we ever move, though I did see Sipsey Falls has trout stocked which would be a worth it trip for me that's for sure. Can't wait to learn more, look forward to it!

I'm sure he does quite a bit of fishing. Just takes a while to edit all the videos. I'm wondering if his son(s) are editing them for him nowadays? Reason I say that is, when I saw his last live stream video, it was around close to Thanksgiving last year. His son or sons were with him in his little "Fishing Shed" he made doing the livestream along with him. His wife popped in every so often. But his son was mostly handling the phone/camera and positioning it for him. I'm guessing ol' Richard isn't technologically advanced lol

If you ever get up to the dam can you do a video on how you anchor/how to safely operate a smaller Jon boat in heavy current? I fish higher up in the Tennessee River and just bought a 16 foot Jon boat and would love some tips.
