Yesss!!!! Yes!! Yaaasssssss!!!!! No more Bentley Turbo R!!!
Boooo old guy dream car I love it lol
Just pray so the buyer is from at least 500 miles away from your shop haha
How are you supposed to pay for your own private island without the Bentley around?
Can I send it to you for an LS swap if I buy it. 🤣
Unless someone local buys it!!
Ah, the joys of aging AMG ownership! Only 3 out of my 4 are currently mechanically totaled. I feel ahead of the curve.

Some of the old amgs are actually built well. Any of the “55” cars are very reliable with the strong m113k motor. The “65” cars are less reliable and more expensive to upkeep
Imagine a guy in Wichita buys the Turbo R and takes it back to Wizard, oof
Wizard's "Honey Pot"...
Now that would be funny. Maybe not for The Wizard.

The wizard yelling “YES” at the news of selling the Turbo R is the most genuine thing I’ve ever seen the Wizard do. You made a man truly happy today, Tyler.
Word bro.
so genuine it was scripted
@@DD-rh2sz whether scripted or not (I don’t believe it is) after all the failed attempts the wizard made at fixing that car, I know for a fact he’s happy it’s leaving and never coming back. They were just throwing parts at it trying to find the gremlin at one point. When a car gets there, even the mechanic hates it, even if they’re getting paid for their time.
lol i hear you. I'm not suer why all of Wizard's reactions seem like Tyler went in first and they figure out how to make it funny (like when Tyler goes in and Wizard is looking up Yachts). But you are right, he did have a genuine reason to dance around
@@DD-rh2sz Yes, the scene you mentioned specifically is an ongoing joke about how much money Tyler spends with the Wizard and is definitely scripted. And for all I know maybe this one was also, but I am convinced Wizard is stoked to be rid of the Turbo R, and I sense that genuine happiness in the scene.
someone buy it before I do
Got you!

I'll take the CL65.
Please do that. I love to see you do the repairs and tune this engine

Best thing to do with the Bentley is to LS swap it, make it useful and reliable.

It certainly worked on me. I love that Bentley even though it’s a POS

Noooo keep the turbo r how is the car wizard going to buy his island if you sell your turbo r

As an aside, I think a lot of this audience probably prefers seeing more unique and weird cars than iconic supercars. I know I feel like I can see supercar content on a number of other channels, though admittedly not with Tyler's personality.
Wizard's probably hoping that Bentley gets sold out of state so he never has to see it again.
...And then someone ships it to him to fix, he might just burn it at that point.
It would be funny if one of the Kansas youtubers bought it and took it to his shop to troll him.
@@jundialhaqiqa9907 I think that'd be a good way to earn a permanent ban from his shop.

Front and rear valve blocks for the ABC system are listed at around 2 grand EACH. Its the seals that always fail, but are not available via Mercedes, but are available 'aftermarket' for 60 quid a set and fitted within a couple of hours for anyone half competent with a spanner.
ABC/Tandem pumps are again listed by dealers at between £1500-£2000. Its a LUK pump. Euro car parts (ecp) will supply exactly the same pump with exactly the same part number for ~ £750, or refurbished pumps are available for ~ £350 from a number of suppliers.

Yes! Finally! I’ve been emailing Doug about this for a while, why is it there is an auto tempest ad before yours shows and then you advertise a separate auto auction website that isn’t even listed on car tempest?! So glad that the darts were finally connected… Thanks for the videos, cheers!
Something tells me that the Bentley is now fully fixed and the next owner will enjoy it for a long time
My thought exactly.. lol
They never are, thats the gig
Ah the delusions of a madman, it's what keeps the used car market going strong.
«Fully fixed” and old Bentley is a contradiction in terms.
Oh it’s fully fixed all right... For about the next 30-40 days... Then it’s fully unfixed as soon as you stop watching it like a hawk... That’s how old bentleys work... Leave them unattended for five minutes and something or other is bound to spontaneously fall off, break apart or spontaneously burst into flames...
The world would be a great place if everyone had this honesty and integrity. Thanks Tyler.
Thanks for being so honest. Anyone that buys either of these cars should have no question about what they are getting. Really enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work.
Have an 02 CL600. Love the car! Got is cheap because the oil cooler leak like yours. Did the fix myself in about 46hrs if I remember right. Runs like a dream now and hopefully no abc problems pop up. If you don't get that abc pump replaced on yours and it goes out it can scatter metal shavings through the whole suspension system.
The AMG is worth saving.
The Bentley should be buried as deep as possible.
BENZ is new money. Drug money
The B is old money just how it should be

Man, that is a shame! What I’ve learned is I can’t afford an older Bentley or Rolls Royce, even if it’s given to me.
“Crazy, stupid or want to work on your own stuff” - Tyler, you’re repeating yourself.

I get the feeling that Car Wizard gave Tyler an ultimatum to start clearing out his shop garage.
Why? he makes so much money off of each one.
If he sells one of the Lambos for a profit it makes sense to in the same year realize the losses from these cars to offset those gains.
The Wizards says he needs new content
I appreciate your honesty. I’d pay around $6 - $7k for the CL 65, replace the ABC pump and flush the fluid. We all know the ABC system is expensive to maintain but I never heard anything on the oil cooler seal. I would probably live with the leak, just keep an eye on the oil level. It is an amazing luxury coupe with a super car engine.

@@Ready72000 thanks. It has served me very well so far. I really don't care how good it looks and it's reliable.
@@OGAaronAlton Another great buy is a Subaru Outback, but not quite as good as the Rav4. The reason that Toyota is great is that they refine their engines, etc, to iron out the weaknesses in their design, then they stick with them, making continuous improvements. This concept - continuous improvement, not change - is not difficult to comprehend.
One wonders why all car companies don’t catch onto this concept (although some do).

Refreshing to hear an HONEST car salesman
Probably best thing would be just to part it off since there was only a few made. I learned my lessons on German Engineering had a VW golf needed to change the water pump. Just had to take out the alternator a bracket,,,,,,,,,,,, air conditioner pump, another bracket timing cover, just to get to the water pump. Water pump[ needed to be changed because the car's thermostat didn't open and the car overheated. VW that year had like a phenolic impeller (s0rt 0f a plastic pollyer) that moved the water on a metal shaft. BMW had the same that year. Car overheated the metal rod expanded expanding the hole in the plastic. Coolant cools impellar now doesn't spin as the rods smaller than the hole.
Rumor has it, there is a guy near Chicago with a special set of skills. I suspect he will find you.
That pump may be under a recall, my dad got a 2004 e320 with almost the same system, and mercedes replaced it for free

Most modern cars have gotten so complex. We have always had the issue of a repair cost exceeding the value of a car but 20 or 30 years ago, so long as the engine and trans was good, you could fix it relatively easily. An average backyard mechanic could fix most things Nowadays, some system you have never heard of can cost more than the car is worth. A simple gasket or seal can require days of labor just to replace a $2 gasket. Maybe I am just old but I do not enjoy working on newer cars. The frustration outweighs the fun.
I had a gen 2 Camaro in high school and I loved that car. To this day I regret selling it. I am planning on getting another one soon. I want to put a newer, aluminium block LS series engine in it and do a full restoration. I am very much looking forward to that project so I am pretty sure the passion is still there. It's just not there with the newer cars. They have just gotten to complex to be fun to work on.

Yeah, maybe in the dealership they never changed it. Because they do what the brand says and also what they have determined to do. Sometimes with those vehicles people really do not take 100% take care of them, maybe they change the oil, they fix some issues and that's it. But they are other things that also need maintence.
