      That’s why they angled the engine to the rear on these machines. No heat coming at you anywhere on this atv.
      I owned multiple Honda’s over the last 25 years, unfortunately their quality has dropped drastically in the last decade.
      My Rubicon fell apart, and my father’s Pioneer was completely awful. I went to a Brute Force, and now followed by an Outlander Max HD7. My old man traded his pioneer for a Defender HD10.
      Can’t comment on the outlander’s reliability, it’s new, but it’s the best performing quad I’ve ever had. My father’s Defender HD10 is bulletproof. Farm work, hunting, fishing, hauling firewood, 5 years of hard work and the only problem was a broken belt.

    I am betting this is an all-around better bike. I suspect the old 570 Vtwin was underrated in power so as to not step on 650 toes - if you've ever ridden one you know they rock and roll. Would love to see this lined up against one. I don't think the change is bad - its a better looking bike and nobody was really buying the old 570 to go fast, anyways - guarantee this makes way more torque at lower rpm which should make it a great trail and work machine.

I just was checking them out while I looked at a new grizzly for plowing. I like small frame for plowing that's why I checked them out. I would take the grizzly 700 over the hd700 outlander

    • @TiffanyBottomsHunter
      @TiffanyBottomsHunter Před rokem

      I believe we are just going to have to be patient and wait until people buy them, and do reviews on them. I was wondering this too. I think some people are getting the 700, and the HD7 confused. Both the 500, and 700 Outlanders have a 650cc displacement according to specs. The Outlander Pro Models have the same engine, but are referred to as the HD5, and HD7, Heavy Duty 500, and Heavy Duty 700. The Gearing on the Pro models is different than on the regular 500, and 700. I looked at the HP specs of Can Am's former Outlander 450 38hp, and Outlander 570 48Hp. I watched several videos of both, to get a general idea of what these new Outlander models may perform like. Since the new 500 is rated at 40, and the 700 is rated at 50hp. I kinda feel like the regular outlanders 500, and 700's will perform fairly similar to the 450, and 570 previous models, but the Pro models will likely feel more torquey, down low, and in the midrange, but top speed wise, I would say the regular 500, and 700 will top out at about the same as the 450, and 570, so watching some youtube videos of those ATV's top speeds should give you a good idea, the 570 is a lot quicker than the Honda 520. So based on the method I used, the 700 would likely give you similar performance as the previous 570, maybe a little bit more. Just be patient.

    • @Dusdaddy
      @Dusdaddy Před rokem

      @@TiffanyBottomsHunter I think the only difference is the gearing. The motors are the same for the 700 and the HD7. The XMR has a 700 yet it also states "Extra Low" listed in the specs, the same as the Pro with the HD7. Not sure if it is in the diff or the tranny.

By buying the full package, you get all of it a lot cheaper than adding each item separately. A lot of premium packages are just appearance packages that don’t really add any functionality to the machine.

      Yeah I have pockets lol. I guess the pretty boys with man buns probably ride with their yoga pants on lol. I assume the air box is below it. Kidding aside, I do like the front storage box on the front rack. Good place to keep a tow strap, some basic tools, tire repair kit, zip ties etc. I have a small tire inflator that would fit in there too. I like the linc rear box he showed, would be handy as well.

      Actually, the filter box is higher than the storage, it's under the console so a win-win. Yamaha also has that tank storage nobody laughed, they loved it. I would use it for gloves, a phone, a flashlight, extra ammo and a knife. Maybe a place to put a heart from a deer, etc. Guess I gotta go get some yoga pants....lol

      I for one like the cell phone storage box. Most of the time I'm out of cellular range when hutning and like to charge my phone. Having it a sealed water proof box works so I don't have to have in my pockets if it starts raining, etc. Agreed with the hanguards though, it would have been nice to see them added on but with the price they're offering, it's respectible, especially considering that the Grizzly and Suzuki dont offer them. Also, I believe the airbox is located right in front of the "cell phone" storage.

    I don't like the fact they got rid of the Outlander 650. That machine is sweet. Also that 650 PowerPlant produces more power than this new 700. And the styling is way better in those old models. Love can-am but I feel they dropped the ball.

      The Yamaha gets excellent reviews and seems very reliable, which is what I want MOST. I have an old 1999 Suzuki Quadrunner 250 4x4 right now and its been very reliable and strong. Problem is the suspension...there just isn't much (3.5 inches of travel). Plush suspension is #2 on my list! Thanks for the response
