Unlike Trump (with his magical bone spurs), Elvis didn’t dodge the draft and served his country.
That was all basically a PR stunt. He didn't have to really participate beyond photo ops. The only reason he actually went was because his management thought it would tank his career if he got out of it. He could have and wanted to get out of it, but his manager and label convinced him it was the best route. After typing that, it is still above trump's draft dodging.
