In Oregon today, 10 Republican State Senators who, in 2022, walked out for 6 weeks to deny a quorum, were denied the right to run again for their seats by the state Supreme Court, in accordance with the law passed by the voters in 2021. Sweet.
🎉 i voted for that law, and I danced today.

Everyone was dammed tired of legislators who only work about half the year anyway missing so many days worth of voting/work. Regardless of party.
Im currently in a part of Mexico that migrants have to pass thru. So many are families traveling with young children. One young man from Colombia helped me with my bags while I was traveling to the coast and and refused money. He was trying to get to Chicago and still has such a long way to go. Im so disgusted by the GOP.
The big scarry caravan comes every year- they work for a season (guess who picks most of those fruits and veggies you see at the super market) and most return home. Its been going on for decades.
Now the guy who Flys the spray plane. The guy who sells the chemicals and the management is most likely bilingual Latinos. They own agriculture in the west coast.
They're desperate people looking for a better life, willing to work hard. Worth keeping them.

A migrant just walked out of a NYC courtroom and gave 2 middle fingers to cameras after he was released with zero bail after attacking and beating police officers. Between that and the fentanyl deaths and the fact that our cities are kicking seniors and veterans out of hotels to accommodate unknown foreign nationals - and cutting back on police and services, I'm so disgusted at the worthless Democratic party.
Remember when Moskow Mitch and Weathervane Graham said you can't appoint a SCOTUS judge in an election year? ... Hypocrazy is in their veins.
If Republicans had their way, the rule would be "no Democrat-appointed SCOTUS judges within four years of an election." The proof of that is, multiple Republican Senators said they would do everything they could to hold the seat open for Hillary's entire term if she won.
It had nothing to do with the proximity to the election or their dishonest claims about the "Biden Rule" (which was just a random speech he gave, never an established rule, and it was a speech about how they shouldn't confirm a nominee until after the ELECTION, not the INAUGURATION). It was always just about power at all costs, and they knew they could never get that as long as the Supreme Court was controlled by rational, fair-minded jurists (or even just biased conservatives judges who still sometimes ruled based on the merits of the law instead of their personal biases).
My son-in-law is from Ecuador and came here after meeting my daughter. He a good man, husband and father to my grandchildren. He is a good man and I’m happy to have him in our family…..
My sister married a man from Venezuela. One of my aunts married a man from Poland. I myself married a Sicilian.
All of them are good-hearted, hard-working people. They have all raised wonderful children.

Unfounded fear over immigration was used in the UK to bring Brexit over the line. Today most people deeply regret this decission and media is noticing that people begin to see through the fearmongering with immigration because they overused it.
Trump and Brexit were destructive projects for their countries and both received a lot of Russian cyber support.
In that regard, UK citizens are smarter than American citizens. At least they are capable of seeing through the fearmongering at some point. American citizens are not. And I say this as an American citizen.
