nigeria isn't the founder of Jollof. the word jollof it self was a kingdom found in Senegal-Gambia area. The origin of Jollof itself has been credited to the Wolof/Jollof/Djolof peoples of the Senegambia area.
Exactly
Noowaaaay was he baseball capping? 🧢
Now we have to see Senegambian Jollof rice
Didn't know we were eating a word 🤦♂️
@@vinitamenezes794Usman I get but izzy is Chinese
The fact Gully, someone who has probably eaten even the most spicy and flavorful Biryani of Pakistan, said the Ghana one is the most flavorful rice he's ever eaten just tells you how flavorful those must really be..
Pakistani biriyani is bland af. You will find real spicy biriyani in South India. Especially Hyderabadi biriyani, it's spicy af
Here's how you can make Jollof Rice Kulfi. Kulfi is basically like ice cream and it is a very popular frozen dessert in Pakistan. You know Saturdays are my cheat days. 😂😂😂😂😂
(This is Day 2 of asking GoldenGully to attempt cooking up a whole entire Yoylecake from Battle For Dream Island.)
You MADMAN
@@GoldenGully You MADMAN
mmmm yoylecake is delicious, and a huge BFDI fan
btw gully stopped making kulfi, remember?

Great to see you try food from different countries and cultures. Much love, Gully! 🤍
Thank you for showing me the world of different foods of different cultures. I’m from America and I been watching your videos and my mind is blown away from the food and is inspiring me to cook these recipes.
Retitle this to "How many Africans can I offend"
All of y'all will be actually offended once Gullyboy makes another video:
Nigerian Jollof vs Indian Jollof(Cooker Biriyani)
@@adil0028lmfaooo
Bro will offend the indian subcontinent too 😂
Somali ppl with biriis (rice):
👁👄👁
he has previously expresssed anti black sentiments in his jerk chicken video and other videos about “black” food. truly sickening
@@AmazingOneTV? how
The real Jolof rice was from Wolof and there is called thiebou dienne/yapp/ganaar (rice with fish/meat/chicken). In Wolof, it is not called as Wolof/Jolof Rice, it is just called as rice. It is like Italian foods are called only as everyday food in Italy.
Both looks delicious! 😋
But you gotta try the Senegalese one where it's originated 🇸🇳
Gotchuuu gotta try it
@@GoldenGullywhich restaurant is this?
Bro it is so good
yeah i am a ghanian but i agree whit you they re the makers
I love gully makes my day❤
Gully always makes my day
Bro that looks dope would love to try someday. And bro Bilal you should try new kulfis my Saturdayas are sad😢😢
I’ve never had jollof rice, but I’m happy to see you eating it and enjoying it :D
Omg I am ur biggest fan I love ur videos ur so nice and ur just the GOAT
As a ghanian myself i like that we won but both are delicious in their own way❤❤❤
True
You even typed Ghanaian wrongly😂 but all the same every food taste good in their own way
@@Hussler911no Ghanaian is how british people spell it every Ghanian I’ve met says and spells it this way and for reference I’m a Ghanian who lives in Virginia
@@somerandomguy9868 naa bruh..not to be petty but im born and raised here in Ghana and its “Ghanaian”
The Nigerian guy was wrong about Nigeria being the founder of Jollof, it originated in Senegambia (during the wollof kingdoms) which spread through west Africa
Damn that looks good never had it before but I’m definently gonna try it now
Mah man respects all cultures ❤
Gully is really fun to watch
Bro your shirt slays🎉
Try the Senegalese one. It's so good you can easily eat it on its own even without the meats and vegetables! It's very heavy though
I was introduced to it by a Ghanian friend of the family, it’s pretty delicious and not that alien from the Middle Eastern Profile of flavors.
That Nigerian man really lied to you😂. Ghanaians NEVER put beans in their jollof rice. Baked beans is not compulsory and we RARELY eat it with food here. Jollof rice doesn't belong to Nigerians or Ghanaians.
Try" Sorisha Elish"
Really popular in Bangladesh
That’s a cool sweater gully, if you don’t mind me asking where did you get it from?
this guy takes on anything
Had some Jollof rice from a Gambian Community Mosque in the UK after Jummah prayer 👍
always love the Naruto lofi in the background
Fire wood jollof rice is the tastiest way of making Jollof in Nigeria. That’s also called party rice. Served at weddings or any gathering. That smoke from the firewood gives the rice it’s signature smoky flavour.
0:33-bro is trynna insult biryani 💀
Finally, he tried some more African food. Can’t wait till he makes groundnut soup 🙏🏿🇬🇭
You mean groundnut soup
As A Nigerian I Haven't Tried Ghana Jollof but It kinda looks Good!
It depends on what you're used to I guess? I'm from Nigeria as well and since our rice has tons of seasoning, it's more rich on the tongue in comparison to Ghanas' so Ghanaian jollof might taste more bland and less rich than ours here but that doesn't mean it isn't good it's just the way your taste buds work
@@simeon9962 You don't know what you are talking about. How many Ghanaian jollof recipes have you tried? I have tasted several Nigerian Jollof rice, and all I taste is crayfish and pepper. Never compare Nigerian jollof rice to Ghana's, it's not even close! 😂
@@ghkwame3615 Ghanaians and taking everything to heart I swear. I never said Ghanaian jollof was bad. All I said is that to a Nigerian that's used to a large amount of flavor in their food, Ghanaian jollof MAY taste bland.
Honestly it's immature how you have to put one down to praise another
Omfg I’ve literally met that guy. He’s in Wexford!
Super cool guy to talk to.
will you do more kulfi?
‘
*Both of them look good* 👍🏼
I love it it also making me craving it
I'll go with the one from Ghana 🇬🇭
Man that Naruto background music just hits ❤
Bro can we substitute the chillies with any kind while preparing birria
FINALLY WE RECOGNIZE GHANAIAN JOLLOF !!! WE BEEN WON! 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🫶🏾❤
I love how hyped up that owner was 😅
Bros taste buds are universal
They has the same energy as we dont mix it we stir it

I've never tired Jollof rice but after seeing the title I knew he was about to start a war in the comments section. After hearing cultures fight over hummus, horchata, rice pudding and flan I know any regional differences bring controversy.
Gully really trying to restart the jollof war 😂
Oh he already has, about to do a drive by on my Ghanian friends with a cooler of rice.
Jollof is a number 7 on top 10 favorite foods I like
As my missus has Nigerian and Ghanian heritage, I'm keeping well and truly on the fence with this one.
Nigerian Jollof On top
Your the best
What bout da OG Senegalese jollof
You should try the Halloween Food from Burger King!
Fam is about to start the jollof wars in the comments 😂😂😂
Ghana ftw! 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
Gully do you have a cockatiel
Do liberia palm butter
Next time make algerian burek and turkish burek
Thank you for doing this
( i was the guy who was spamming it in suggestions) sorry about the haters nice vid though
PERIOD.
Hi, Gully
Please make miss Vickie’s jalapeño chips kulfi.
How do you bake a rice? :/
No country makes the best jollof rice, or the taste depends on how well the jollof rice was prepared.
It depends on the cook like how good he is at cooking how much experience they have like my mum's jellof is the best
Im still standing
This vid needs more views 🤩. But Maybe next time travel to both countries and try the dishes authentic versions. Made by any Nigerian grandma 🤧
It hits different then compared to having it ordered or smth 🇳🇬👍🏾
"Which jollof rice is better" bro started a war😂
Try Senegalese fried rice its even better
I have never had both but I'm gonna back the Nigerian one to be better
Now i understand what mufti menk tryna said
The fact he was eating rice with fork 😭🤣
Yeah idk why people think it's good and some even thinking spoon users are the weird ones when eating rice with fork is equivalent to digging with a pitchfork when you have a shovel.
Not gully pronouncing the h in herb lol 😂😭
Bro is specific with his ratings
Love the energy from the Nigerian owner
Nigeria: we are the founder of the food
Ghana: *cough roughly*
I’m a huge fan can you rate ube ice cream
Next up, how to make jollof rice kulfi
I still stand by my Naija jollof 👏👏😂

The jollof wars have restarted via the comments 😂😂😂
heres how you make kulfi kulfi

"I'm in Ghana, checking out the food scene"
If you want to taste the best Nigerian Jollof rice just attend a Nigerian wedding.
Likewise if you want to taste the best Ghanaian jollof, just arrange a Ghanaian funeral😂
MEDINA shirt!
What team is that? Hockey?
Honestly, I personally don't like my rice to be super punchy with spices because the you can't get a break from those flavors when you're eating the food and at the end of the meal, all the components just taste the same. Food for thought
So weak so weak haiyyaa so white even if u are not one
Are you British or white?
