Yes it is so controversial isn’t it, I was a bit dubious about what sort of response I would get to it but I really find it beneficial. I think everyone has their own way of doing things. Great to hear so many people find it as beneficial as I do xx

I absolutely loved this vlog. It was fascinating watching you work with Red. He is a beautiful horse. He seems extremely intelligent & has a kind nature. I especially loved how quickly he learned to respect your space. He has a stunning trot, and he is showing to have an ability to remain balanced (seen when you lunged him in the arena). Very well done, lovely to watch this, when i was in my early 20's i heard about Monty Roberts because the queen's Mum had asked him to back all the house hold cavalry horses, the horse whisperer film was not out yet and today people are riding with no tack!! but 30 yrs agO we were far from that.. .. i read the book Monty Roberts Join Up and i was a young wife in France at the time and i would tell everyone the same story you told about the dominant Mare, everyone thought i was crazy, I'm so glad to see 30 yrs later young influencers doing join up, bravO great to see.. Fabulous đŸ€©not enough people understand horse talk & the way a herd works ie that the Alpha moves their feet so no eye contact( a predator makes eye contact ) . We always found lowering their head to be a reward & a very safe place for them ie when a horse is in a heightened state you’ll notice head is up when head is lowered it is safe & they can relax also teaching them to back up by moving the their feet are all very important in the groundwork. Respect of space & a safe place is the name of the game = Trust . The old adage where the nose goes the feet go is very true in a horses world & you want those feet to follow you & move where you want in a respectful manner & not in your space .These are all very important parts of a young horses ground work way before backing occurs . I think he’s going to be a good fit for you , a lot to like with this big boy Evie x

Yes exactly! If I had owned him as a 4yo, I would probably have sat on him a couple of times then turned him away until he was 4. But with him being quite a big boy I think being left has given him time to mature ready to crack on for ridden work this summer and autumn đŸ„łâ€ïž
