Greetings.....from the Western North Carolina Mountains....USA ! I've been very impressed with your equine skills....ever since youtube brought you to my attention....( right around the time you received Donut...! ) and I really enjoy watching your videos. You have a wonderful and very intelligent way of working with and tending to your horses. I like seeing other people as "hyper - viligent" as I am ....concerning horse safety. The way you describe and explain how you work with horses is great for those just learning. I myself rescued my first horse when I was 14....way back in 1971...!! just to give you an idea of where I'm coming from ! From one horseman to another.... Enjoy your work & play, love your horses and keep learning every single day...!!

@@ELSEventing Yes...!! the fact that we can watch what others are doing with their lives...all over this most excellent planet....never ceases to amaze me....especially when you consider that, when I graduated high school, IBM computers were the size of refrigerators !! Thanks again for sharing yours. Curious to know the difference in time between where we live....

Some rug brands are worse than others for rubbing out manes it seems. The worse ones for my horses have been the WB ones with wither relief. Have had good luck with HW Amigo ones.
As we launch into winter here in Australia, it's interesting to see someone else's winter routine.
Love how organized and tidy you are! Makes everything so much easier!! You need an Equilight head band btw, and…Just a thought…you might consider attaching something (flat plastic or another piece of wood) behind the salt lick as it will corrode the wood wall. I found out the hard way… Love your vlogs you are an inspiriation💥
Haha yes I hate wasting time looking for stuff (and the mess that comes along with it) so try to make sure everything has a place where I can!
You’re right, I was looking at the headbands the other day! I have a head torch but don’t like using it because it’s bulky whereas the equilights look so much better. And a good point re the salt licks too, I’ll get something sorted! Thank you so much ☺️
@@ELSEventing I am learning so much from all you lovely women in the UK!! We are so fortunate to have you vlogging! It is amazing how many things are the same around the world, but I think the UK is a leader in horse management and eventing!! You and your mom are rock stars!!
We have had an easy winter so far in Nova Scotia, Canada. It has mostly been rain and mud. However this weekend we have had record breaking lows. It has dropped to -25 C, with wind chills of -45 C. Caring for horses in this temperature is much harder. Also a huge colic risk when it fluctuates so drastically. Was +10 a few days ago! Doing lots of warm feeds and giving them as much hay as they can eat.
You're made of tougher stuff than me! I hope you and your horses are keeping well in such cold conditions x

Ah thank you! I love that coat too, it’s the LeMieux Loire three quarter jacket and it really is super cosy and has lasted well - I got it for Christmas 2020. I don’t think it’s waterproof- it’s coped with light showers but I wear it more for the cold dry days and a different coat if it’s raining a lot x
