Thank you so much for the kind words and for dedicating this video to me. Very well done! All the best to you.

Hello Benny, i became a drummer because of you. Been a long time, but i will never forget when you visited, my little town next to bremen, when i was a little child. Still have the poster with your signature on it. You go places, and i wish you all the best.
@@henning3692 cool story

Benny Greb is living proof that no machine will ever replace a human drummer.
Benny himself said though that when he started out he had no natural talent and that all of it can be learned with dedication. There is no reason why machine learning programs wouldn't be able to groove as well with time.
They would axtually create something of themselfs, like alive unique people. Ai is scary bro they are basically a new life form but need electricity, but in theory everthibg can be resimulated, but its not energy eficient, god actually made a balance in these universe
@@TheChucknoxus " There is no reason why machine learning programs
wouldn't be able to groove as well with time."
Probably, but will the machine have as much fun as Benny has?
Enjoying a true artist is a multifacetted thing.
I love how his fills feel like they blossom. They're not just a wave of force like many fills are, it's like all soft ghost note filled subtlety and then PRAPP! It just opens up and spreads all around.
Tenéis los subtitulos en español creados!
If you wanna help me, comment balls as much times as you can!
Bolas

Make a video of the drummer Anup from Intervals - Automation
your breakdown was fantastic ... not sure i would have noticed some of the little details you picked up on, like the kick control or the tempo dynamics ... great stuff!!
Lovely to see one monstrous amazing drummer having so much love for another seriously sick drummer. :) your drumming is seriously amazing and mad speed and control. But then mr greb is just mmaaaaaad. One of the best of this generation. So tasteful. So creative. And yet never overplaying just to show off chops.
Dude, your commentary is just as impressive as your drumming. Respect 💯
Man your reactions are next level. Great break down, I love the enthusiasm.
El Estepario Siberiano that was one of your most important presentations! A lot of people think Beny is too slow, or has too little kit and other such bullshits. You have wonderfully recounted what Bena's genius is all about. Thank you so much!
Another great video, and you deserve all the success you get brother.
You've inspired me to finally learn to play the drums, even though I'm in my 40s.
Thank you..
So, that "big ass floor tom" is really just a 16x16. I watched a video on how he tunes that beast, and it has revolutionized my floor tom tuning. That thing is just plain evil...
Do you have a link to that vid? :)
@@dieterbohlen1572 Oh man... I don't. Lemme so some digging and see what I can find.
@@dieterbohlen1572 I can't find that vid, but the basic idea is: bottom and top heads just tight enough to get the wrinkles out (evenly, of course), but before you put on the top head, throw a handful of cotton balls inside the drum. This is enough material in the drum to control overtones, and because the cotton balls lift off the bottom head for a short time before falling back down and killing the sustain, the drum resonates just enough to give that super deep tone.
@@drumjedi5301 Thanks for digging and the explaination :-)
I do use the cotton ball trick, and it is great (!) however I use make up removal pads from a drug store :-D They were easier to obtain and fulfill the same role, once torn apart a little bit.
A reaction to Baard Kolstad from Leprous would be so amazing ! One of the best and most interesting drummer in the world right now 😍
I agree!
yep
I didn't knew Benny Greb before this, and im really glad i do know, every tasty chop carefully crafted to service the music, and i got to see it with you valuable insight, everything was so good man!
Everithing took a turn here 15:46... i never thougth i would see Heisenberg killing it at the drums!
Really nice to hear you compliments and respect to another musician. Great video!
14:50 you know you are on another level of musicianship when you write "make an audible groan'' as an accent...
Also, he's CRAZY tall. The sticks look tiny when he's playing. His physicality allows him to move seemingly slow and relaxed but he's got a ton of power behind his playing.
He's not just tall, the guy is HUGE.
I mean, that right hand crossover to the second snare...
You've said everything I wanted to hear man, everything!! Such in depth interpretation is what you makes an amazing drummer too. I was singing the song while watching the video and you definitely pointed out couple of things that I surely missed as many times I've watched his Grebfruit videos. And trust me I've watched and tried to play the song like millions of times. Absolutely killer reaction. I am proud to be your subscriber and part of this drumming community. Last but not the least, Benny has been my inspiration since long ago, and now that I completely dedicated my life to music, and sit for practice, I see all those flavors of him in my playing. Of course tiny amounts of it, but they definitely there and I am super proud about that too :)
Kudos to you two!! Keep inspiring us all. Loads of love and strength, take care.
I’m two years late to finding this video, but your reactions to arguably my favorite drummer are exactly how I feel every time I watch him play. Your self deprecation and humbleness is also hilarious and refreshing. Thanks for this one!
And that’s why Meinl is THE best company, not only great cymbals, but amazing people behind the company as well.
I really appreciate your reaction to Benny Greb and you nailed it on what makes him so incredible, he's one of a kind!
Benny is one of the best drummers in the world. had seen him play live in 2006. great video and great sound 👍🏻
Man you're reaching new levels and it's cool to see your new videos 😃
You’re amazing you don’t even really do review videos per se but when you do you still do it better than everybody who actually does this as their platform.
And yes, Benny is a beast as well as yourself you are both two of my top inspirations at the moment so this was a little slice of heaven
I feel your reactions and breakdowns to Alex Rüdinger, Matt from Animals as Leaders, or even Hannas Grossman would be very intuitive and entertaining
Alex in particular. Such a tank, and a great spirit!
excellent narrative brother. This man brings the depth for sure!!!
great stuff !!! love this its nice to see a really good drummer reacting to one of the best..
BENNY!
That man has finesse and has been a fav of mine since I started drumming years ago
Great vid
Watch the drum transcription at 14:49 and look at where it says: "make audible groan" when Benny makes a tiny mistake.... I really appreciate Meinl's attention to detail.
Great reaction video. You make it excitingly fun and isn’t that what playing drums is about ? 💪🥁🥁🥁🥁😎
Balls as much times as you can! 😁😁😁 Nice video, its cool to see the things that good drummers notice right away while other people don"t even realize they are happening.
Congrats on the sponsorship! You deserve it.
Really enjoyed this video! Great breakdowns and insights. And I agree, Benny is one of the GOATs of our current generation. An absolute master of his craft. Great channel, btw. Keep up the great work!! 🤘🤘
I am certain that the YT fam hasn’t disappointed in recommending your reaction to a Neil Peart solo. I’d like to hear your take on another percussive legend. Your energy is amazing, man. I wish more people would put as much positive energy in the things they’re passionate about as you do. Cheers!
That was really fun to wach this Video with you 💥
Perfect 🔥Thanks Estepario 🤘
Not only are you one of the best drummers of all time. You bring us spectacular talent to enjoy. Thank you.
That floor tom sounds so beefy. Hell yeah
Just a wonderful musician, plays so beautifully. Really enjoyed your commentaries, enthusiasm and analysis. Bravo
Benny is one of my favourite drummers around; and I have eleven. LOL. You included brother El E. Keep shining. Cheers.
Man, I love your drumming, your style, your philosophy and the inspiration you give me with it... and I love this video because I love Benny Greb as much as you do and you explain this sooooo great... with all your knowledge and your emotions! Great! Thanks! Oh and... my favorite drummer is Carlos Vega (sadly deceased); I'm sure you've heard of that too!? All the best and keep it up! Andreas :)
Carlos was the man :/ im glad you liked the video brother, whatever you need!
Thank you for your quick response! 😃 I'm really happy about that, because you certainly have so many other things to do every day than answering all the comments on all platforms! 🤪 By the way, I only discovered you a few days ago and was immediately enthusiastic about the short "I Wanna Be Starting Something". I was particularly enthusiastic about your videos, in which you tell about yourself and how you got to where you are today! I wish you all the best for your future and, above all, always fun, joy, fulfillment, satisfaction and recognition with your musical work! Kind regards, Andreas 🙋🏽♂️
Saludos cordiales, Andreas 🙋🏽♂️😅
Your passion for drums, grooves and other drummers is infectious my man your passion for drums is a beautiful thing sir keep up the great work👽🤖👽
Great video. Congrats on the new partnership!
That would be great, another one of my favorites, who also does great work with a single pedal.
Such true review man. The aftertalk is so correct. I think ur a great drummer keep up the good work man!
Really great analysis of a really great performance. Love it.
You definitely break down The Neil Peart solo from Frankfurt, it’s one of my all time favorites
THANK U FINALLY SWEETIE....U Mentioned him I told u he was the best...Sonar Kit he has... I adore mine they r like no other kit in the world it has EXTREMELY unique sounds...Benny Greb is my FAVORITE drummer in the world thanks again for bringing him up
"This guy is the definition of taste." That is it.
You have been bringing some awesome drummers to the front. I dig your channel and you are always entertaining and obviously skilled.
It's amazing to see you geek out over another drummer as we geek out over your vids
You know, normally I hate reaction videos. But yours are on point and hilarious af! I watched this from beginning till the end. Spot on, bro!
it was very nice to listen to both of you! And yes, you are a badass too!
Thanks 🙏🏼
Something super interesting you pointed out when plying less notes - those notes mean more. It’s like taking a test; if you miss 5 questions (notes) on a 10 question test you fail, but if you miss 5 questions on a 100 question test you’re sky high. Playing less may seem easier, but those notes carry so much weight you have to know exactly how to place them. Again, super interesting point you made.
Incredible !
One of the most important lessons, i`ve learned from Benny: "..breathe with the pulse.."
and for people, who don`t know: check out Jost Nickel...another Groove-Master from Germany;)
What i love about you, is the passion for the drums.
Yes, your single pedal bass is sick, but your personality and passion is why i am here.
You`re a true inspiration.
Fuck yeah love meinl, my favorite, I have the Benny grebb 22 sand ride and love love love that shit. Glad I was able to find this video and thank you for sharing your craft. Much thanks and gratitude for the inspiration.
That groove with the stack is super funky man 👌👏 benny one of the greatest for sure
Dude, your reaction videos are amazing! So entertaining!! Than you for making the effort. 🙏
I didn't know you did videos like that, I must say I had a great time watching!
Benny is the GOAT! Would love to see you analyze some speedsters like Tony Royster or Eric Moore 😏
I've listened to a shot-ton of "drummer reacts to a great drummer" videos, and Bro, NOBODY goes to the bone like you're doing here.
Of course, it helps that one of my favorite drummers is reacting to ANOTHER of my favorite drummers...
Keep these going, this is some funny ass amazing content!!
my 2 favourite drummers in a video, a dream come true !!!! thx dude. love u
That's the kind of "less is more" that takes decades to achieve. Good shit right here! xD
You did such a great video... Keep up the good job Estepario, You sure have large audience... Greetings!
justo estoy estudiando su libro "The Art of Drumming", es excelente
I really love Benny and I've watch this whole video with a smile on my face. Thanks for your explanation!
Man, i really don't like react videos... beside yours! You nailed it and besides all the really cool and useful information it is just unbelievably entertaining and fun. Love your passion and love for the instrument. So thanks a lot and a big drummer hug from Germany. I think Benny will love this! All the best and cheers! Jochen ✌🏼😃🥁
Benny is an absolute beast! Great video and analyzation 👍🏼
Grats on your continued success brother. You made this dream happen!
Amazing insight, helping this beginning drummer
Great pick! Couldn't agree more
Gracias.
Legend brother 💪🤘
The best metal drummer talks about grooviest drummer ever born. That's amazing!!!!!
Sand Cymbals are incredible! Would love to see you play them bro!! 🤙 🍻
perfect brotha, you said everything ahahah great point of view
Holy mother of drummers!
Benny is top of the line.
Now that’s tasty drumming!
The way to use the wood of the napoleon was amazing.
You're hilarious dude omg 😅
Very nice reaction to a very nice performance from Benny Greb.
Look to Larnell Lewis, I'm 100% sure you will love it.
The Performance at Zildjian live is great. All the ones with Snarky Puppy are great. Also his performance on the song Shakira the great is fantastic.
I would love to see you sharing your perspectives on those.
Cheers.
Great breakdown, it would be amazing to get your perspective on Aquiles Priester, which uses a gigantic kit, I would love to see what you think of his playing
Jorge, you are not only a great drummer, but a great "reactor"! I learned a lot from you and from Benny Greb in the same video.
Enorme estepario.
lame
Great analysis man awesome!
Awesome video buda side note, get a holster for that revolver on your tv set LOL
You're most awesome! Turned a friend of mine onto you, a drummer since 10 yrs old.
He's reasonably good, played with local bands, but not in your league.
He particularly liked your Base drum setup & spent $ to duplicate it, along with putting a cowbell on the snare. He gets it even though complains. He's Happier because he plays better!! 👍👍❗️
you know something out of this world is happening when you hear this guy says "ULLAALAA"
Wow that cross over from the floor tom to the side snare…🤯
