To create a Bible using today's standards and our internet-minded abilities, the Bible was just way advanced ahead of its time. It's really just a scripture on how to deal with people and how to act in life. But also give people hope that a reason to live.
The Bible is literally plagiarized from countless amounts of prior myths. Comparative mythology is an interesting field in and of itself
It all depends on perspective. You can view it as beneficial but like Nietzsche you can also argue it perpetuates slave mentality. No one has the ultimate answers and no one ever will. Once you accept that you can start from scratch and spend your life learning with some humility.
Even the idea that a book will give you “reason to live” is concerning and should be investigated. Create your own meaning and stop looking to someone else’s.

The people that experienced the stories in the Bible were illiterate. Christianity didn't exist when Jesus taught esoteric spirituality. The Sumerian tablets really hit home after decades of trying to figure things out. The book of Enoch is a very good read as well.

The purpose of the Old Testament was to show how perfect of person Jesus was and all of the laws he followed that you are supposed to as well. The New Testament is basically just saying you don’t have to be perfect like Jesus was because he already died for your sins, just please love him and accept him as your savior, and everything will be all good. We all know who wrote the Bible, it’s a collection of books from different authors. There’s a reason why so many people follow it, because it’s the truth and you’re deceived to not recognize it. I think religion is important for a lot of ppl... I've been fortunate to live my life and develope full belief in myself... But for those who struggle to believe in self, unwavering belief in anything you consider more powerful than yourself can be a mega tool... The problem with Christianity for me (besides the 8,000 year old game of telephone) is that I'on't think Jesus would fuck with the Bible, I'on't think he'd stone his/your children to death etc. (As all of his actual works definitely seemed to oppose violence/power/corruption/etc.)

No, that'd be absurd - and it is - God promised to preserve scripture, and a comparison of even the most ancient fragments will confirm that.
The universe itself - and of course life - attests to being created. Study enough organic biology and it's patently obvious. When you study the nature of the universe and that of man, you can pretty well deduce that God's reason, personality, and grace are required to sustain this place.

Also, how can we be sure that the individuals in charge of translating the Bible throughout the centuries weren't distorting the words either in favor of certain interpretations or simply due to insufficient proficiency in translation?

Later, they voted on what books to keep and what to change to benefit the church that would be included in the King James Bible. Not only written by man but altered beyond recognition. No thanks
You are correct but before the King James Version it was retranslated,rewritten and re-edited. Biblical scholars have lost count of how many times this has happened. It’s a fictional book and was proven to be fiction in the 90’s. A 15 year study was done by the world’s Foremost Experts in Biblical Archaeology and they found that the first 10 books of the Bible are certainly complete FICTION. If those are fiction then why would the remaining 56 books be any different. Also the Jesus character isn’t anything new. Deities prior to him ,500-2000 years prior,had 12 followers,healed the sick,raised the dead,walked on water,performed miracles and were conveniently born on December 25 to a virgin.
That's not true. The gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, all of the copies and fragments that have been found include the name of the authors on them. They were also written early. As early as, and maybe more early than forty to fifty years after the event. That is, Jesus' crucifixion, burial, and resurrection.

If they are inspired by God why do they contradict or make mistakes? Why did God in the bible say: if a woman doesn't cover her head, her head should be shaved? Why did God allow genocide in the Old testament? Why did he change the laws from the old T to the New T? Why did Jesus not know if the the hour if he's God?
Bible is a man made book that hasn't preserved the pure message that prophet Jesus gave to his people. The bible has been corrupted and can't be considered as God's word anymore.

I've been an atheist for at least 20 years, and I have seen how, lately, the word has come to have a bad association in general (not really sure why), not only among believers, but also between people who doesn't accept the claim that god exists; so people is distancing from it. You’ll encounter bad preachers and clergyman, temples and churches filled with greed, but to simply disregard spiritual connections is something that can leave a void in your heart. I stick solely to the teachings of Jesus because I believe he wanted to reconnect us to the universe and creator, to show us what are minds and bodies are capable of by elevating through prayer, meditation, and essentially karma.
