They keep trying to box him into a stereotype, but he keeps showing him, it's not like that. Keep going Ralph. You're showing them our life is not like you think.
Yeah Schulz is so annoying in this he keeps trying to be funny or trying to write his own narrative, like just let the man speak and tell his story instead of telling him "his" story ft edits by Schulz
I said that too... he keeps telling his narrative and they're trying to re-write...
I've seen Ralph live twice.
He never disappoints.
He's so chill with his delivery, that you don't expect the punchline.
Man there's VERY few people in his position who would keep it real like this.....He could of made up anything he wanted and no one could call him out, that's how u know he's a real chill dude
It does sound like a made up story tho haha no one would put out there that their family was part of cartel fuck that

Not just Texas tho, NM,AZ and Cali too. Literally dealt with exactly what bro was talking about, and kinda still do just not as heavy as it use to be:
Andrew asking some great questions man fr! No judgment no preconceived notions about a kid growing up with a cartel family, all genuine curiosity feels good to see stuff like this in todays world
Great interview. This dude is legit. Most people would have sold the struggle but this guy was straight up about his past. Things have been good for me most of my life with a few bad moments sprinkled in. He’s funny and seems to be a great storyteller. I hope he blows up.
The only ones who sell the struggle, didn’t really struggle. People who actually grew up with something heavy, don’t need to talk about because they usually consider themselves luckier than others who had it worse.
Ralph is a cool ass dude. I’ve been rooting for him since early on. Glad he’s just keeping it real being himself. Keep pushin Ralph!
Same bro it seemed inevitable early on he would blow just a matter of putting in some time and looks like it's bout to blow
His uncle watching this video : “yeah, he is a dumb a$$”😂😂😂
Nah he’s getting a big ego boost, people in that line of work, make corridos to flaunt their stories to millions of strangers. It’s never a secret unless it has to.
hes only talking about what he is because his fam already did the time so they cant get investigated for it.. notice when he said ill speak on what i can and wont say what i cant
Seems like a cool dude but man he is not funny.I watched tons of his stand up and have yet to laugh.
No doubt…..he’s got a big mouth. But that’s the way of the world 🌎, go on a podcast and spill your guts for all of society to see. 😂🤡🤣
Ralph is authentic. I pray he stays that way and doesn't let anyone take that from him. Shallow people seethe with envy around folks like that. I've seen it.
saw like 2 min of his standup and i was sold. i love how educated and humble he is and he is hilarious without being to much of an ahole. now that i saw this even more respect.
I’m Mexican American and I always fear my people romanticize cartels too much. Cartels will cut down my people like it’s nothing.
I hope we can overcome that mentality. I want nothing but the best for us. I want us to succeed in life. I want our kids futures to be better than ours.
I feel ya dude. But it's not entirely their fault as the cartels do in fact spend a lot of efforts and money into framing themselves as the robin hoods of their country and encouraging legends and mythos about certain drug kingpins. And usually the biggest, and strongest out-spoken voices against the narcotraficantes are the ones that get cut down. Same as how Italian Americans had to deal with the stigma from the american mafia for decades, we as mexicans, or mexican americans are dealing with the same in this current timeline and just hope that it's slowly making a turn for the best for the Mexican community.
The government does the same thing. Until the government changes and is for the people nothing will change. Corruption and greed has consumed such a rich society. Rich in agriculture, rich in oil and minerals, rich in tourism, rich in culture, rich in alot of aspects. Yet cannot grow. Because the people running it ran it to the ground and sold its people
With how many likes this has compared to the other comments it's pretty clear a decent amount of our people romanticize cartels. It's pretty sad and ignorant but what can you do.
That’s the reason many people say they left Mexico. Because of Violence and then they come here and it’s cool
@@mostdefrecords4334 it's not that they come here and think it's cool. It's their parents that flee the country to America have kids then those kids who never experienced sh*t end up thinking it's cool not realizing that that's the reason they were born in America.
As a Mexican American who’s family in Jalisco who have their town under control of the CJNG cartel, it’s fckin crazy how much control the cartels have in entire states down in Mexico.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the closer you get to these cartel power bases(cjng Guadalajara example) it's less crazy as opposed to areas being disputed like the borders and the resort areas?
Its wild. They took over my town Tepatitlan Jalisco. I cant even hit up certain bars/cantinas cuz they set up their headquarters (plazas)
@@i_love_tacos7887 as long as you are not in that life and just keep a low profile, they won't mess with you. The town I go to in Jalisco where my wifes family is from is very controlled and yes very calm. If you get into a fight, there during the fiestas the cartel will come and ask who started it and the reason why.
Isn’t that where Canelo Alvarez is from? They kidnapped his brother a few years ago. I think he had to pay them 2million $
@Sj the problem is when those "safe areas" get hit by a rival cartel then is much worst that the disputed areas.
My are was one of the safest and it turn into a literal hell hole with almost weekly/ Daily killings and shootouts. It's sad no can really be out on the streets pass 8-9 and most Lil mom and pop shops had to close down.

Lol. That’s how I’ve been described. Even told by one lady when she asked me a question I looked like the question went right through me and my answer proved otherwise. I take advantage of I guess looking like a dumbass to my benefit. Lol
It’s wild to me that he has my sense of humor and we coincidentally have the exam same haircut and style, I know a lot of people that grew up in a Hispanic area can relate to him with his nonchalant mood, but guys like us just let our brains work for ourselves cus we’re kinda lazy and been exposed to this certain lifestyle that we just resort to comedy and a good time. I’m glad I found out about him a while ago, I know he’s going to have a good future and build up material the way he’s heading to

You're good shit Ralph. Fun watching you keep them humble.
His story is actually very close to mine. Instead of a quinceanera my dad got arrested LOL. About a year after I got a letter in the mail from the DEA informing me that the phones have been tapped and that they had been listening. Everyone in the family got that letter. They don't have to disclose until after either the trial or a certain amount of time. If he would have kept dealing, chances are they would have caught him. It's a good thing you stopped after 3 weeks.
9:00 Andrew is on point about Ralph.
Ralph seems like a smart kid that paved his on way in life.
He reminds me of Lil carmine in the sopranos he saw it wasn't worth it and went legit
I think the realization that Ralph had about his family is one many Americans had about their country growing up. You'll always love your family and appreciate what they've done for you. But you can still look around and see some of the crimes they are committing and how veterans are treated vs those in control and decide that standing up and laughing about the hypocrisy of it all is the best course.
Love Ralph. Thank you for having him on!!
You know what this is my favorite comedian. His delivery is consistently funny and his responses aren’t predictable.

Usually someone who gets it all as a kid becomes to attach to that life so props to his family for telling him go earn your money
Most of the time in those cases the money is more legal lmao my uncle sold drugs but on a smaller scale. He was easily a 6 figure man with the drugs and his daughter was spoiled but he went to prison for a while, her mom too, and they lost everything. She’s a regular adult now going to college working at a regular job. I think those spoiled rich adults are the ones whose parental got to flex it to everyone without concern.
@FlapJacks & Syrup for sure. It gives people a lot more security to spoil their kids if they think their kids can just join the family business without any concern of wealth ever being taken away. But, for a lot of people who earned a ton of money the legal way had to do so at the expense of being with their families. They feel guilt about being absent when it was a matter of choice or because they used work as an escape.
Many cartel members and Italian mafia organizations have a culture of celebrating and spending time with their families even though their work is at the expense of others.
A hedgefund manager is being no less ruinous to others people's lives to earn his wealth but the road to success in that career is all about working 18 hours a day in the city, leaving your family to raise themselves.
It sounds like the rise and fall cycle of cartel criminal organizations is just more rapid than that of a "legal" criminal and so they understand quicker the best thing they can give their kid is the confidence to know they can always go out and make more money instead of relying on someone more powerful to give it to you.
The only way you can try and prevent your wealth being taken from you whether your business is legal or not is to band together with others who are in the same business and make connections amongst other people with control.
@AT late stage governments act very similarly to cartels, should all of their citizens be responsible for the crimes they had no control over or even knew about?
as a mexican i can tell you mom and dad are always like...you want it ? work for it cuz i aint buying you chet
