This song got me through alot of hard times back when it released and I was still in school. For me it was always just about keeping focused on keeping going, and having hope that it'll lead to better things in the future. Things may be awful in the present, but things can change. Sometimes all you can do is be patient.
If there were no desire to heal
The damaged & broken met along.....
This tedious path I've chosen here , I certainly would of walked away by now.
& I still may
I still may.
I MUST KEEP REMINDING MYSELF OF THIS.
Never has a verse explained how I felt when I couldn't even put my own words to explain how I felt, at that time, than this.
I know the people that will miss you the most are the ones that love youâ
Thatâs a great interpretation
This is arguably my favorite Tool song because its message particularly resonates with me. This song is for the sufferer.
Right.
Ditto to that my friend.
The whole album is a holy gift to humanity
I've watched a lot of reactions, but the enjoyment you two have is infectious. Your affection for each other is also always up front, as a special moment that affects you is immediately followed by smiles and eyes on the other person to see if you're sharing the moment. Really cool to see.
This may be the greatest Tool song of them all. Definitely one of the most under appreciated.
certainly one of the most accomplished between 2001 - 2022
It's such an uplifting song!!
In my top 3 certainly
No man, every piece of TOOL is art,no understimated
So iconic to me I had the lyrics tattooed onto my back in 2006. No regrets almost 20 years later
Tool. The only band in the universe that has 99% of there songs over 7 minutes long and after 7 minutes you wish it was only half over. Its that damn good.
99% ? are u sure ? heheheheheđ
@@BlueHopi144 lol true. they either have really long songs or really short ones (as in like a minute or two of just weird noises)
Not the only band
This album while tripping changed my life, multiple times. Still hits me in a special way everytime I hear it.
Same here man lateralus on acid cured my depression it was my first time tripping and first time hearing the song as well
truth
This album and 10,000 days while tripping, we enter TOOL dimension. âšđđ
I remember listening to this one on repeat for days, possibly weeks. I never got tired of it, and still haven't.
So do i
Honestly the more you listen to this one, the more you're gonna like it. The bridge section that transitions into the final chorus is such a ride and every member is performing at their max. Truly a masterpiece that so many sleep on.
They dont have even 1 bad song.....since the very first time I have listened them masterpieces after masterpieces.....i loved every songs they played so far......30 years later and soooooo good....
For two years Iâve been on my spiritual development. Ive been listening to this album since it came out. This is the first time that I can say that I deeply get this whole album. I literally meditate to every single track.
Mind, body and spirit just like the cover shows.
Tool is the best and so are both of you beautiful people! Thanks I needed this đ„đ„đ„đ„
Yo, you guys still have a bunch of tool songs left! Schism, 46 & 2, H., Stinkfist etc.
You should also do a car days revisited and do Rosetta Stoned, Jambi and Parabola again
yep , great list there .....
Lost keys/Rosetta stoned is an absolute masterpiece! Musically and technically insane.. the lyrics are a bit out there but hey itâs tool after all đ€·ââïž
Top 3 of my all time favourites
Tool - H
Tool - Eulogy
Hell Yeah
Tool song comes onâŠâŠ..your about to find your way through some seriously magical soundscapeâŠ. Enjoy your journey.
fuck yeah love you guys this song is underrated as hell
LISTEN to the lyrics and tell me if this doesn't describe the last several years!. "Is this a test? It HAS to be. Otherwise I can't go on"
I forget how amazing this song is, and to be able to see you experience it for the first time is so Effing cool.
In my understanding, this song is about Maynard's mother, Judith, but you should also keep in mind, that Tool nearly always writes all of their songs with multiple perspectives in mind. Know mindfulness, and know Tool.
Next time must be "What happens now" of Porcupine Tree (live in Tilburg)
I love your reactions. So much emotion, feels vulnerable. Don't change a thing.
one of the first songs i remember learning on guitar
This is the song I listen to every morning right when I wake up â€ïž everything is hazy and Iâm still in a dreamlike state, but this slowly wakes me up. Itâs like a cozy warm blanket to my ears. Itâs indescribably beautiful
Thank you guys, this is my fav. tool song. âŠ.I would LOVE if you guys would PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE react to Puscifer âBedlamite.â âŠ.it is so pertinent to whatâs happening now, and yesterday. It will really make you feel like phosphorescent desert buttons. â€
Soo awesome đ€đ»đ
Iâve been here with yâall from day 1. And what I appreciate is the sincere love of the music. But, If thereâs any Tool song I beg yâall to re-listen to along with the lyrics itâs this song. Itâs helped carry me, and many others, out of that deep dark hole we all find ourselves in sometimes. Therapeutic!!!
do tool H. please
Not the actual H though. The song đđ€Łđ
Itâs impossible to not have a good time watching you two jamming to good tunes!
Ahh, I love this song so much. I discovered Tool a few months after my father died of Alzhiemer's, and this song was really cathartic for me. The message and emotion in it was really relatable to what my family went through. Crazy how something that touching and beautiful can also be so heavy and nasty. (Good kinda nasty, ofc) But that's Tool. One of a kind band, up there with the GOAT's of music. Awesome reaction as always.
WOW - I had a similar experience with my Grandfather who died of Alzhiemer's in 2002 - he was going in and out of consciousness in the hospice and in a moment of clarity he sat up with with tears streaming down his face from his wide open eyes and he told my cousin "we're all children here" - this album especially lines like "Embrace this moment, remember We are eternal, all this pain is an illusion" helped me get through a lot of that time and grief (he was the first of my grandparents to die).
Wings for Marie does that for me. Still get tears in my eyes every time. Right there with you on how the music just connects and helps to get us âbeyond,â whatever that beyond might be for the listener.
Awesome vid as always! I think you haven't reacted to "Eulogie" by them. That would be an awesome one to react to off the AEnema album. Killer track, incredible.
My favorite song ever
yesssss finally
I smoked SO much weed to this album. I remember going to Best Buy and getting it. This one was a life changer. The album cover came in a trippy 3D slipcase too, lol.
Ditto haha
I got to see them do this live in February of this year and it was still amazing
Europe is now ready to see them live ....they come to Belgium on the 13th May & its been sold out for weeks
Favorite Tool song for me. I was 13 when I first heard it. Picked a cd from a friend's case while traveling home on a bus, and I was not prepared for what I would hear.
Not only partial because of the subject matter, but one of the few songs he does harmony (canon). So unique and gorgeous. Iâm so so glad they all had the sense to let him do the harmony. Itâs pure gold!
Canon? What's that?
@@fyou2327 Canon = a round. Like row row row your boat. Staggered entrances of the same material.
Great reaction and got you a new sub!
The best thing about this album is absolutely nothing about it would lead you to believe itâs 20+ years old. The production, themes, riffs, musicianship, imagery, and everything else about it is TIMELESS.
One of my top 5 favs from Tool, Vicarious & Lateralus off this album are top notch. Glad to see your channel still kicking it D!
would have loved eon blue apocalypse with it, but this is such a great song so powerful, so beautiful, so heavy
i love listening to music with you guys
One of their ultimate best songs . I have always got into it with passion , depth and amazement for its complexity + unique musical arrangements . The way the Chorus kicks in is so powerful . The CD Album art design was also one of a kind . Thanks again for the authentic sharing
I lost my self here, had a lot to say but decided to just say this, that was fun to watch this with you folks.
Just got home from an intense workout session and thank goodness for the Lateralus album, I made it through. The emotional adventure it takes me on even after having listened to these songs on a daily basis for the last couple of years, is indescribable...
I forgot just how much I love that song....thanks for sharing your reaction with us all so we can vicariously experience our first time. đ€
Would love for you guys to do the whole album of Lateralus. It blows me away many many years later. Spiral đ Out đ€đ»
PUSCIFER! A PERFECT CIRCLE! đ€
Love your reactions! đ€
You guys NEED to experience the WHOLE Lateralus album from start to finish...... MASTERPIECE

Great vid Thanks D life fam you guys always make hearing tool kind of like hearing for the first time
I literally do not know what to say looks like you guys are having a great time I'm glad the two armies accepting these two awesome people into our existence cool is just an enormous immensely great band and I'm glad you guys are enjoying it
It's crazy you guys don't listen to this stuff just so you can make a video for us! I appreciate your sacrifice!
I bought this album years ago after first really hearing Tool in a Guitar Hero game. It still took me a few years to fully appreciate the album because I wasn't really into metal yet. I didn't really even realize that Tool was metal because they sounded so different.
Love this song and the whole album now, though. I listened to it for the first time in a while yesterday after another CZcams reactor I like started getting into Tool. Funny coincidence you guys did this one. I need to get her to do Opeth now...
I got a main theme of alchemy when reading Maynardâs book. Especially when he talked about three being a number of stability; (where he goes into noticing a stool having three legs causing it to be stable) which he later applies to his art and itâs relationship to business.
Top 5 tool songs def
Opeth - The Amen Corner!!! You guys will love it!
Have you reacted to any Radiohead? You need to check out their song âParanoid Androidâ!!
Tooooool
Geniales !!!!!!!
Alll I can do is.keep asking... Please. Mastodon - Tread Lightly and Seabeast.
Also. Since I know you guys are Deftones and Tool fans, do Passenger by Deftones Featuring Maynard.
This has to be one of my favorite Tool songs. I can't explain why but it is lol.
it must be touching some sadness within + Your Soul & help transcend it .
Epic tune ..very toolkit essential..âïžđ„đšArmy
Hell yeah! Great choice for a reaction. Definitely enjoying your content over here. Tbh, the both of you are in my top3 of my top5 when it comes to CZcamsr music reactions. So honest and unabashed feelings and reactions to the vibes currently surrounding your auditory senses. Great stuff. Keep them coming.
Completely agree... đ TOOL, can never go wrong....
00:05 a groan of tedium escaped her
'The Patient', cool song.
Spiral out!
How about some old metal .Dreamer Deceiver/Deceiver by Judas Priest off the sad Wings Of Destiny album.Rob Half odds vocals are absolutely mind blowing on that track and the song is a rollercoaster ride. Thanks for the Tool reaction.
The best isnât at reach of common people.
Real music is for real people â„ïž
Still recommending Undertow. Gonna wait it out.

Try JAMBI!!! (Tool)
I never get tired of watching people have Toolgasms.
My favorite Tool song next to Right in Two.
Please both of you listen to parabol-parabola, I love this song and I love to see your reactions đ€
TY
Dats right...welcome..lol..I think it's one of their best songs on that album.
đ§đđ€
At this point you should do âParabol / Parabolaâ
Great reaction! I would like to see you both react to more similar prog metal/post metal bands like Intronaut, Isis, Cult of Luna. The best first time listen I would consider to be Fast Worms from Intronaut's Direction of Last Things album. So Did We from Isis' Panopticon album. In Awe Of from Cult of Luna's Vertikal album. It's honestly worth venturing through the entire album for each of these kinds of bands.
Just realized these two have better headphones than I at the moment.
listen to Lateralus next.
You gotta do H. And Rosetta stoned guys:)
Your guys reaction to the song, feeling it...Epic! I'd shoot the shit ya anytime over a beer. Classic!
đđđđđ
Honey Shhhhhh
I genuinely believe that the universe and everything in it were created purely so God can experience tool
Your reactions made my day! You nailed it and so did Tool! Tool till I die bitches!
Bedlamite!!! Please you guys!!?!!!!!!â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€
It reminds me of One. I picture someone in a comma.
great song!! would love to see a reaction from Meshuggahâs new album, too many good songs for me to recommend just one in my opinion, so you guys will have to decide on one!
They need to do "Ligature Marks"!
@@JoshBratton ligature marks, phantoms, or kaleidoscope for sure!!
đđđ
Like. Jamming with. Friends
Have you guys heard every song off their first album? Please do those
Dude the wifey has a great metal growl. :)
She's ready for Rosetta stoned revisited.
