Grandparents Passed Away | Abandoned House With Everything Left Behind

- In the heart of a quaint, forgotten neighborhood stood this small, weathered house. Inside, memories danced in every corner, whispered in every creak of the floorboards. This was the home of Edith and her beloved husband, Arthur. For decades, they built a life within these walls, filling it with love, laughter, and cherished moments.
Edith was the epitome of grace and warmth, her gentle smile like a beacon of light in the darkest of times. Arthur, her devoted companion, stood by her side through every joy and sorrow, and their love a testament to the enduring power of partnership.
As the years passed, time took its toll, leaving its mark on the once vibrant couple. Arthur's laughter grew softer, his steps slower, while Edith's hands trembled with age. Yet, their bond remained unbreakable, a love that weathered every storm.
Then, one fateful day, Edith's gentle spirit departed from this world, leaving Arthur behind, grieving and alone. With her passing, the house seemed to lose its soul, the rooms echoing with the emptiness of her absence.
Putting pieces of the Puzzle together the best I could, I believe that Arthur found himself adrift in a sea of memories, each one a bittersweet reminder of the life they had shared. He wandered through the rooms, tracing his fingers over photographs frozen in time, each a cherished relic of their love story.
But as Arthur mourned the loss of his beloved Edith, the world outside their home marched on, indifferent to his grief. The city, and it's bureaucracy placed a condemnation notice on their door,
And so, the house stood abandoned, a silent witness to the love that once filled its walls. The photographs faded the mementos gathering dust as if even the memories themselves were slowly slipping away.
But to me, it's still a mystery why they didn't want any of Edith's belongings. Perhaps it was the weight of sorrow that hung heavy in the air, too painful to comprehend. Or maybe it was the fear of confronting their own mortality, a reminder that love, no matter how deep, could still be lost to time.
But amidst the desolation, there was a beauty to be found, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, love endures. For Edith and Arthur, their legacy lived on in the hearts of those who knew them, a testament to the power of a love that transcends even death itself. And though their house may have stood empty, their spirits lingered on, forever intertwined in the tapestry of memories they had woven together. - Zábava

I will never understand why the children don't take care of their parents home ? An leave it to rot....
It was a beautiful old house filled with memories. So sad to see it rotting away.
Have a story to share. I was born with galactosemia. The doctor said I would surely die. I have been on a medication for 30 years. I thought how I was feeling so terrible inside was due to my childhood illness. Recently had bad side effects to the medication and Dr changed the med. I am a whole new person now. Doing the things I used to like to do. Even writing a book. Thanks to you for your videos that help me get through this for a long while❤
Thank you very much Melanie I'm glad I could help. Hope you get better.
@@RangerRickTVwow those were beer steins. A lot were made in Germany and many are worth money.there was also a lot of Avon bottles that aren’t worth much but definitely lots are cool lol. I personally like avon bottles and have a few..they just aren’t collectible which I believe are undervalued and underrated..but those others that are not china but beer steins!!!also the china is worth money exspecially the milk glass.and if the china doll statues are made and signed by Joseph they are worth quite a bit of money..I could tell u more but it would take a book. I collect a lot..god bless and stay safe…
@@marywalker2896 Wow I had no idea. goods catch! tell as much as you want!
I do not understand why the heirs didn’t at least take all the stuff and donate it to help others. That’s what I would do. Maybe o a thrift store that helped those less fortunate.
Why didn’t the family collect these share with. The unfortunate If no one wanted these memories. So sad Family photos
Breaks my heart, that with a large family, not one of them would be interested in the family albums, even the collectibles, that im sure their grandparents were proud of them..and not one cares?? 😢💔
You don't know how the parents treated the children.
The house is literally filled with photos of kids and descendants. No body bothered to recover personal possessions,, including photos,
that's not normal.
That piece of furniture you called a radio was actually a record player when people used to ply 45s and 72s actual vinyl records. It probably did have a radio too. You should have raised the top of the piece.
So sad 😢 brings back memories of my wonderful, awesome, beautiful Grandma. 💕
Glad you enjoyed it
So many collectibles German Steins, milk glass, Precious Moment figurines,Hummels....
The large vase next to the pictures is beautiful. Very sad these treasures will be more than likely be sold off to strangers. Let this lovely couple rest in peace....
Sad if the fish were still alive when the grampa passed away
The “coffee maker” is actually a kerosene heater. And the thing on the desk you called a “speaker” is a sewing machine that’s a case over it.
Oh my gosh, all that gone with the wind stuff. I'd love to have. Such a shame all.their memories and no one cares.

Kuća je prepuna obiteljskih uspomena ...obožavam starinski porculan...sama sam kolekcionar Božićnih figurica...da mi netko ovo pokloni ne bi se dala odavde ...koji raj bi napravila 🇭🇷👍
That purple &white bedspread in the Avon boxes room is hand made!Very intricate !
I usually do not like long videos, but this one had so many beautiful collectibles that enchanted me. Amazing that they seem to be untouched by vandals.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ya it's on the main road too left untouched.
What a beautiful story & home! Wonderful video bro! ❤️🤘👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
This nice Elvis Presley painting is so unique. Great video and thanks for sharing!
Necchi is an old sewing machine. It's nice.
Such a beautiful old home!! Most likely someone has come through and took what they thought was valuable and left all the good things which is the memories just left behind. Great explore RR!!
Necchi was a very good sewing machine…..it is in its case! My mother sewed with a Necchi! A lot of beautiful dresses made with This!
I believe the credenza lid opened on top. All those Christmas cards were on top. I love the little village houses.
It likely had a stereo record player and radio in it. Maybe even a tape player as well.
It’s what I think too that’s open from the top
It’s a sewing machine not a speaker
Hi thankyou for the drone footage outside, what a large property , and so much left behind, I remember those avon collectables , they are still today worth alot of money, were sold around the world ,thanks for the explore interesting , to see the wind up musical boxs etc.😀
So many collections of things in this house Always super sad to see the family photos are left behind Great interesting house tour Thanks
Great video. I love see the old stuff. It bing back the good old how we lived.photo albums family room where we gathered to watch evening shows on TV.
Rick I love you and your videos. You give so much discretion to the homes you explore. You are so respectful to the family that used to live in these homes. You are great and I thank you for your videos.
Beer steins! Most likely made in Germany. Super sweet find.❤❤❤❤❤
Great video makes you sit and think 👍👍👍😎☕
Absolutely
I saw the crocheted afghan on the back of the sofa downstairs which leads me to believe maybe some of the bedspreads are handmade heirloom qiilts that should be rescued .
Please don't step on things. Its not good.plz give respect.
Wouldn't be funny if you got a comment that said your in my grandma's house!
I love this find I love looking at other peoples pictures and yearbooks I may not know who they are, but it’s wonderful to see history
I could look at pictures all day
Even Though the house is unoccupied, it is still under the ownership of the heirs. My mother died in 2020 and i do not live at my childhood home. I have it locked for all entries (windows/doors). I have ADT and security bars to keep people out. As well, I go to my childhood home 3 to 4 times per week to make sure it stays in good condition. As for this house, I am confident the heirs decided to just leave their property there because it's inside their private property. If they were evicted, the bank or county would have cleared it and sold not allowing it to decay. Property is money. There is some sentimental heir like myself just hanging on to their childhood home.
The return address on that little card boardboard said " Audiology" in the return address so it was likely a hearing aide not human remains. Cremains come in a lot bigger box, besides. Nice video. Thanks.
She had some nice things and a lot of it worth money. I have the same collection of Gone with the wind ❤
Where oh where is the family? Was there no will ? Surely with all the family pics on the wall, someone was close to take of their parents, or grandparents possessions. Heartbreaking to me.😔
What the extended family needs to do is sell the house to someone who knows value.sell it at market value, then the buyer puts all the collectables, and so on, on line and make money back!
Vintage Necchis have a reputation for incredible quality, and they were never made in the same quantities as more established vintage sewing machine brands. This means they are somewhat rare. If you can find one in good condition, it may be worth $400 or more.
Gabapentin is used to treat epilepsy. It's also taken for nerve pain, which can be caused by different conditions, including diabetes and shingles.
Hey Rick Nice video
You call the house “small” in the intro, but it looks pretty large from the drone shots. The “stamper” is a protectograph. It’s used to stamp the amount on cheques, money orders, bank drafts, etc so that the figures couldn’t be changed. The cabinet with speakers opened from the top - it’s an old hi-fi or stereo, probably with a turntable and radio.
It looks big outside but inside not as much.
The fire detector still works !!!
These mugs are normally from Germany and not Asia.
To many things come from Asia. German is much better quality.
Beer steins are what those mugs are called.
Can't believe that the family pictures are left behind 😮😢
All of it.
@@RangerRickTV you got that right Rick 👌✌️🙏💯
You made me spill my drink! I had to chuckle that hard when you called the "Heat Mate" a coffee maker. Guess why the call it a Heat Mate? because it gives you Heat! also known as a heater... in this case auxiliary ones that burn Petroleum. Makes me think the owners of the house had a problem paying for their energy bill. In any case sad to see memories left all over the place.
That was a beautiful home. I have one of those sewing machine
What you thought might be a radio, is a record player, and a radio with 8 track tape player. Looks just like one we used to have when I was a teenager.
That thing you thought was an eight track player was actually used to rewind UHS tapes. This house haunts me - all the family pictures indicate a close, loving family. Wish you would look at the books a bit more, and it would be super cool if you could show us a layout of the house. This one seems huge on the outside but only three bedrooms? And STOP SAYING THE 80'S ARE "SO OLD"!!
The first bottle of medicine can be used for nerve pain
This is the best time capsule I have ever seen, but extremely sad. It looked like these people lived a very full life. And it appears they had a big family. I can never understand why personal items and photographs are left behind and why the remaining family does not take them. This made me feel very old as I recognized almost everything in this house from my generation. There are a lot of vintage items in this home. I used to buy Avon and there is quite a collection there. I remember the clear telephone, the sterling silverware set and the case in which it was stored. The music boxes. The Gone With The Wind memorabilia. The little houses. The Star Wars toys. The GE Walkman, I have one of those. Many of the items are collectibles. I remember who the singers were from the cassette tapes and cds. The old PlayStations. I have an 8 track player and 8 track tapes from the seventies. That bank of the little boy is from The Shoney’s Big Boy restaurant. I used to have the same clock radio. And I loved the coo coo clock. Wow! I can just imagine the couple living there in their day to day lives, enjoying life and their children and grandchildren. Not thinking about their mortality. You are right about simpler times. No internet. If I could go back in time I would not miss social media. Time stands still for no one. I loved the narrative that you wrote. You have a gift with your words written on paper. I really enjoyed this video. Thank you! ❤
Wow thank you for your kind words linda ☺️
They have a lot of collectibles! That Avon, gone with the wind, ceramic beer stones,
I know you never take anything but look up that silverware. It's $2300.00 for one setting. Also that beautiful German Cuckoo clock named "After the Kill with Dancers" is worth about $900.00. I can't believe that the family didn't want those things. They may not have been allowed back inside after it was condemned.
Wow I had no idea it was worth that much but no I never take anything.
I was really impressed by the car avon bottles too.
Looks like she had plenty of grandkids. It's so sad how they have all just abandoned this home. I think that thing on the desk was a sewing machine.
Those Avon cars are definitely collectables.
Be sure to close the drawers, shut the cases and cupboards tightly after looking in them.. Help preserve their precious belongings for a few more days. Moisture is the bane of preservation..
Great find!! Thanks for sharing ❤. My dad had a collection of Avon cologne cars also. That brought back a beautiful memory of him!❤
The cabinet with the speakers is a stereo. It opens from the top. I contains record player, & am/fm radio.
Archie Bunker felt the same way when Edith died.
You know what’s sad is the empty drawers probably had all the cds and cassette tapes and stuff inside and somebody’s took an out and put them on top so sad to see that somebody can walk through that home and literally destroyed. The looks sure Laura of the ceiling falling down, but it’s sad to see that somebody made more of a mess of it.
It's funny how people blames the city or government but they should blame the family's
The pin hole locks can be open with a small bobby pin .They are"privacy" locks. We had that type on the bathroom door in our circa 1967 tract home.
Cool house. Lots of cool stuff left behind. Hopefully, you put everything back as it was out of respect.
So sad 😢
❤❤❤❤
My grandparents had 10 kids and 23 grandkids and many great grandkids they gone now and we all miss them lots and 💕💕
What happened to the family members? Dont they want the family memories of grandparents. So they can always have pictures to pass down
Those barrels are for storage! Do you realize that if someone recognize this house, they'll have someplace to stay, trash, ect.
It is so sad that things someone my age saw in almost every friends &relatives homes like heirloom silver and China,Avon decanter collections,"nick Knacks"like thimble collections, souvenir spoons ect are no longer liked. When I was little I had music boxes(you got to be careful not to overwind!),Madame Alexander dolls,Bryer Horses, stuffed little mice made from rabbit fur, in costumes& even my daughter born in 1987 had her little collections of same things+Coca Cola &little crystal animals but sadly her partner calls her stuff she loves "clutter"😢
If the family didn’t want the stuff, why didn’t they have an estate sale company sell the stuff ?
It could be there wasn’t a will & the family is fighting over the estate. Tied up in court for years.
Her soul must of been full of joy to hear that music box play and know that someone did care n felt for her is just sad how they just left everyhing 😢
The top opens to the top it’s a record player
Those are old beer steins, my dad use to have some 😂 isn’t that neccni thingy a sewing machine? Oh I was right, my GMA use to have one! I must say that fish tank deal was really gross, why did you even open it 😂 anyway I hope you have a great day, and thank you for taking us into this beautiful house
Lol I must open things ALWAYS LOL
@@RangerRickTV 😆
I think the mugs in the china hutch are German Beer steins. My parents had a collection of them that they got while on their journeys.
No people stored belongings in those round barrels years ago. !
I love the Avon perfume and after shave glass cars - I have a collection of them also!
Those cars in the case are from the seventies. Avon used to sell those all the time to people.
That was my best find in any abandoned places.
I'd love to get my hands on all that Avon! I won't of course.
Those are old German Stine's. Very collectable... An very valuable
I have never seen any other CZcamsr purposely put the face of anyone in their videos. They always cover the faces and name's. Although it's left behind its not for people to rummage through..
So very sad they left it too bad the buyer can't save it
The thing on the desk in the case most likely is a sewing machine. Many had a hard case to put them in if you wanted to store or take them somewhere.Grandma probably sewed things for church functions.
at 12:11 i've never seen anything like that! That's really cool.
Real nice silerware. I'd have to scarf that up.
Checks used to come in boxes like that which you found in the desk.
"Tara's Theme" (Tara being the plantation that Scarlett lived at) was the song from the music box. I love Gone With the Wind, but I don't think I would have memorabilia like that personally haha.
Good evening. That is a sewing machine
that a big plot of land for that house
Some of those Avon bottles, are worth money
Hope there's not a deceased person on the other side of that locked door😮
Notice the crocheted table cloth? I bet Granny made that.
Benazapril is for High BP
My husband used to have a lot of these aftershave lotion from Avon. I wish we would've saved them.
In the room after the kitchen, the thing under the cover is a sewing machine.
OMG Why wouldn't the family take the beloved pictures. That one room had a sewing machine. So very sad to see that all just left. Some of beer stiens are worth gòod money.
I agree. Can't believe their family just left it all
Too bad nice big house so sad left there want to do nothing oh well …. Nice video keep it up :)
The steins are from Avon in the late 70s
No much old folks clutter.
Lol
I wish that you could have found the childrens names...find out why and if they want things
Why they want things??
@@DSH1976Most grandchildren would
Beer stein beer steins spine
Gabapentin is used to treat nerve pain.
Ahh thank you.
a lot of those steins are Avon

Thank you this channel, to rengger explore this abandoned location, bless with stay safe, take care,. Frm. Ddy.
I had three family members pass away in the last year and a half. Which left our family with two homes to empty before we could sell. It really helped us heal to go thru their things and keep pictures and things that were important to them. It makes me sad to see all these abandoned homes that someone loved and made memories in. Where are their families? How can they just leave it like that? It amazes me. Thanks for telling their stories RangerRick...always enjoy your explores!❤
I agree with everything you just said and thank you .
that "8 Track player" was a VHS rewinder. i had one that looked just like that. unless portable 8 track players was a thing, i sure as hell didn't know those existed. but that was more likely a VHS tape rewinder. i had one to "prolong" the use of my VCR. especially since i went to Blockbuster video so much.
That's right mega mane .
Why on earth did no family members come pack the house up a day take away the memories and stuff . This is mind boggling.
A body bag 😂. That cracked me up!
