@@AnthonyBerryman-sc3ew the blue tree *is* good, it just isn't as strong for damage output as the green and red, it instead gives you frenzy for 40% damage and gives you a crap ton of pet buffs

Been a moze main the entire time BL3 has been out i finally decided to make another character which is amara and i LOVE HER mobbing is no problem it's just them thick ass bosses that i have trouble with thank you for this
just jumped back into bl3 and haven't gotten to experience all of the dlc and extra levels past 50, this video was super helpful!
Bravo sir! These are more educational than a build video as it explain every aspect into achieving the most damage. Breaking down the 5 damage types and the quick overview of skill choices which best spread out the bonuses, was helpful to grasp the basic concept of the damage formula. We heard it is best to diversifying and spreading bonus' over different damage types rather than focusing and loading up just one damage type. That choosing to boost a different damage type like Splash would have noticeable better results rather than picking up another 200% melee after action skill anointment or the Blitz skill would have a minuscule damage increase. Showing you had access to virtually the same Facepuncher but with different anointments, I understood why going with the 300% over 90% that applies to a single pellet which carries over to the White Elephant proc, was better than picking the anointment that added another 200% melee after action skill end.
Hey Moxsy, I have been having SO much fun with your Pinball Witch build. It's kind of one dimensional and limited as far as the playstyle and weapons but it's just a ton of fun. Way more fun than strugglin to keep Moze alive! 😅

'Ello, I've been using Amara build you made (Pinball Amara maybe?) with Muse + Ice Breaker White Elephant (testing more relics these days) and so far I found all bosses melting except 2nd phase of Psychoreaver. Melting but not one-shotting.
Hell of a fun build, survivability is a tad low because I'm "slightly" kamikaze but the damage output is simply ridiculous for mobbing and bossing (with the Psychoreaver exception).
And as lazy as I am, running only two weapons, a Psychostabber and a x14 Facepuncher, both 300/90.
Anyhow, need to test this one and many thanks for the specific guide, cheers!

Can u do a skill tree breakdown for each character some skills in these trees have hidden effects that don't show up in the description maybe u can explain synergies etc
Yah I agree 👍 some skills have some hidden passives that only advance players will know about even some weapons have hidden perks i wish the game would let us know smh

such as gets mayhem scaling an doesn't get it... e.g. mozes skag den and big surplus both look pretty bad on the card but are actually amazing on higher mayhem levels. Sadly it'd be a ton of work while beeing probably pretty dry.

I’m using that build with a pre-patch Muse and a knife drain commander planetoid and the damage is still amazing! I don’t have the driver yet but when I do I have ele proj planetoid for mobbing and the elephant for bossing

I spec into Sustainment and Blitz, with Cryo Stone White Elephant and TTB. It's more tanky and you still pump out tons of damage, I was able to solo true Guardian takedown with it easily. Basically first shot does 300v90 and instantly freezes the enemy which makes all your following shots basically 300v90. Grab something with Ties and shoot it, it dies instantly and you get max Mindfulness, by the time you need it again its available you don't need Avatar. Like I don't melt bosses as fast but I can solo everything in the game and still delete most bosses in under 20 seconds.
Next I'd like to see amara without driver, though outside a driverless build video i get that it might be a tall order
You may have some point but in psychoreaver example the main difference between runs was the number of white elephants stuck, bc in first attempt i havent noticed even one crit prompt on that shot.

A trick I use on Fl4k for damage that idk if you have mentioned it or if it's been patched but while gamma burst is active, switching to a gun with extra 1 charge of rakk attack will proc your ASE

I tried for mobbing but... I don't like it... Expecially with no "ties"... But maybe it's me... I just want a versatile build. It's so difficult with Amara?
Right. I want a build that I can just use for everything. I wouldn't mind swapping gear, or action skills and the elemental augment, but having to go back to Sanctuary and swap builds just to kill bosses feels bad to me. Especially if the boss is at the end of a long level, I either have to just run past everything in the level or mob it with a build that's not designed for that

Know this video is 3 months old but is phase grasp fixed? When I use it on bosses with ties that bind it links to enemies around them. Not 100% sure it works on all bosses but I used ties that bind to kill the minions that spawn when I was farming Gigamind.

Yo Moxsy, you should do some BL3 Redux. I just completed my first playthrough and I'm currently farming XP to max level. I'd love to hear your take on how the skills have been re-balanced, and the removal of anointments.
For bossing with the driver I use a 300% weapon damage after phaseslam facepuncher and a 200% melee damage after phaseslam lvl1 brawler ward and use phaseslam as my action skill to proc anoints. Would this not be more damage than using an ase elemental brawler and the 300/90 or ch1?

Why not FP with slam 300? Its literally just the 300/90 but doesn't lose all of its damage, plus you can have a low lvl brawler ward and 200% after slam melee damage...
300/90 procs twice. It procs initially when you hit, and again when the pellets explode, dealing a total increase of 16x damage. The phaseslam 300 only procs once, dealing a total of 4x damage
300/90 is much much stronger, it boosts all damage not just gun damage.

I get more from just farming any boss that can be killed FAST and drops enough legendaries. In other words, just speedrun Graveward a lot.

She is the weakest if you wanna use different weapons. If you just stick with het usual Ties, Melee and Ball builds... she hits for damage cap like nothing.
Beautiful video but.. I can't change my build everytime I need to farm or just do a boss😭 and, in my personal opinion, this is not a versatile build. I don't feel confident using this for mobbing. I wish there was a easiest way..
He just wanted to push single target damage to the max, so it's not a versatile build. I use Facepuncher too, but I also have life steal, Ties That Bind, Phaseflare, movement speed, damage reduction etc... all in one build. It doesn't do as much damage like Moxsy, but it's enough to one shot bosses.
@@johnt3500 i tried every build for Amara, and for mobbing no problem but with bosses.. Everything just doesn't work for me... I don't know why... And the problem is not that I have to shoot twice instead of one, the problem is that i stay 20 minutes for a boss that is not killavolt or traunt (sorry for my English, I'm Italian 😂)

Dude I saw people trying to explain why commitment doesn't need a fix and how amara hits for billions *consistently* uh no and this video is proof of how hard it is to use amara compared to zane and why technically she is the weakest VH I main all VHs so I like to be able to consistently play at a nice pace on all of them especially since I do 4 times the amount of farming and have to do the horrible story *8 TIMES LET ME SKIP PLEASE* and make erideam reroll guns for God sakes I hate myself enough as it is
It’s very easy to hit hundreds of billions with Amara whenever you want while mobbing using Ties That Bind and Remnants. But for bossing you kinda have to do it like Moxsy here.

@@hinokami796 It’s just a standard Ties That Bind / Phasezerker build, nothing difficult about it. Ties That Bind gives you 10-50 times the damage, then Remnants takes the overkill damage and multiplies it by 50x again.

Due to commitment not having a cap Donnybrook is *pointless* (but you only need purple, blue, and green tree now or if you didn't pay then red instead of purple)

@@hinokami796 Depends on what build your running. For example, the complex root build doesn't need barrier. Even on builds that require barrier, extra points should be thrown into Donnybrook just for more dmg. Because spy com itself is enough to keep your action skills up forever. The other red skills in 1st & 2nd line don't really do anything, unless running an anarchy or launcher build.

Do you even own 4th tree cause if you completely spec out the good points 26 cap stone and then blue cap stone you'll have no reason to use Donnybrook it's redundant and you'll experience diminishing returns as in the damage you get from Donnybrook doesn't matter the barrier's used as utility to not only avoid damage but to buff as *AMP* damage instead of too much *GUN* damage and using charged relay and all-rounder makes you unkillable BUT IDGAF how YOU play the game so I'm just repeating what the smart people tell me that actually calculate the damage formulas so crit damage being a new value in the damage formula and barrier damage being multiplicative you're getting more out of using barrier than specing into red tree at all I just watch and try to understand the videos man
@@hinokami796 You do know that it's not optimal to max out almost the whole blue tree right? You only need 1 point in good misfortune to keep your action skills up and depending on build, either violent violence or playin dirty. Also, the reason why some builds use the drone instead is because of OGT anionment. Which is another multiplier to the dmg formula by itself.
@@mleong75 but I never said to put more than 1 point into good misfortune I only use 1 I'm using a build that cap stones purple and blue tree using 26 in each then 6 in green, without knowing which tree skills I'm using you can't accurately say I'm doing something wrong as the build I'm using puts no points into red tree as there's no need for more damage as you'll get such a small boost hence diminishing returns or to use clone I can use any ase anoint or asa 200% Donnybrook adds too little damage to care about it as most of zanes skills are kill skills
