      And you, Andrea, have a shop in Germany, that is my favourite over all 🥰 "depot" - therefore we often go to Germany, especially few weeks before Christmas 😉 were there last week in Eckernförde.

    The name Tiger is a pun. The soft G is very weak in Danish, so tiger sounds almost like ti'er, tenner, that is a kr. 10 coin. When they first opened, everything cost kr. 10. A few things might be kr.10 for e.g. 3 chocolate bars. Now they also have more expensive things, but all prices still end in zero.
    Søstrene Grene likes to have really odd prices. Kr. 6.38 for example.

    If you live in Sjælland, Irma is a supermarket which is health, ecological and high quality oriented. They have a broader selection of goods within that category compared to regular super markets.

    There are more and more Søstrene Grene and Tiger in France, everywhere. Just in Lyon, we have two or three of each. I like Tiger, specially in december... but I LOVE Søstrene Grene, really ! I can't do without this store since I discovered it a few years ago. Impossible for me to go out with nothing ! 😂 I was very unhappy during confinement but luckily they ended up opening a website !

    Hi Margaux, I’d like to know if you have ever lived/worked in an English speaking country? Your English is excellent! With a little hint of that beautiful French accent. Very charming and cool.

    There are Tiger shops in Ireland and in France (they launched 2 years ago I'd say in La Défense) and also Sostrene Grene. No Helsemin as I'm aware of in either countries I mentioned above.

    As soon as you dare us to go through the store without buying, I guessed Søstrene Grene. I was kind of bumped that I guessed wrong, but I thought "oh well", since Tiger is really similar. But then you pulled a sneaky on me and actually included Søstrene Grene. I like both stores, both I prefer Søstrene over Tiger. Tiger seems mostly to be funny little gimmicky things that you don't really need, but are neat anyway. Søstrene Grene seems to be more useful assorted items, that you actually need.

    If you like Søstrene Grene and (Flying) Tiger, you should also try the Danish chain store "Normal". They have the same discount labyrinth-type stores but are mainly selling cosmetics, fragrances, hygiene products, and other home goods.
    Normal has also started to expand into the countries: Norway, Sweden, Holland and France.
    Normal opened its first store in 2013 but has expanded rapidly and already has more than 200 stores.
    And if you like discount labyrinth-type stores you should also go to the biggest of them all: Ikea. :-)

    One thing people forget about Denmark is coffee consumption, danes drinks 3 times as much as they do in france.
    So 'if' you're a coffee consumer, a comparison could be a fun exercise.

    Which website Danish people use to do online shopping? is there anything similar to AMAZON there?

    • @AFrenchWomanLivingInDenmark
      @AFrenchWomanLivingInDenmark  Před 3 lety +1

      It depends what kind of shopping , there’s no amazon dk but amazon sweden or germany you can use , my partner uses wish sometimes, also people use Facebook market place a lot here to buy second hand from people. Otherwise they buy directly from the company’s website and then you have several websites when you want food delivered (like Nemlig) and such 😊
