Doorbell security cameras have become a vital piece of home security over the last decade. For some, these inventions have been life saving pieces of technology. They’ve prevented home intrusions, attempted homicides, break-ins, wildlife dangers, and any other violent situation happening in or around one’s home. However, not all footage captured by Ring cameras and the like have been helpful. Sometimes the footage is unexplainable, and other times, it’s absolutely terrifying. From eerie shadows to armed intruders to unexplained phenomena, these snippets of footage challenge our perceptions and leave us questioning what lies beyond our doorsteps. That's a total waste of everyone's time. They're gone before the police arrive, they're never traced, they just do it to someone else, or come back to you again for revenge. Let the police catch them red handed.

About the second clip, I never let my wife or daughter walk in behind me at night. I always walk in last and look around. You must be vigilant. Too many sick people roaming.

the last lady absolutely has dementia. she has gotten loose from her residence or home, and is completely baffled. the movement back and forth is typical also.
She might well have lived in that house previously.

I'm actually grateful that I live very simply without a lot of property or material goods to worry about. I really can't imagine being a conventional homeowner and constantly worrying about strange invaders like these around my home.

I’ve seen the clip of the old woman with the knife lots of times and is truly very scary. I am just glad the homeowner never opened the door and hope the lady got some help 😮

9:24 yeah, number 3... a few years ago i woke up at about 4:30am to the sound of my partner talking to someone through the door... the person kept saying that he had just been jumped by a four men and was afraid for his life, but when my partner told him that he would call the police, the guy just said no, that all he wanted was to come in until the threat was gone... really insistent that the police wouldn't be called...
so i immediately called the police; my partner made the mistake of telling the guy that the police were on their way, and he ran away... the police showed up no more than 2 minutes later (in three vehicles) and started searching the area, spotlights and walking around everywhere... i saw them talking to the guy but never heard anything about... everyone just left without saying anything, so i don't know what happened...
anyway, the moral is, if a stranger is acting desperate and knocking on your at 4 am, just call the cops... don't tell them you're calling the cops; just let it be a surprise...
Story #1: The Loiterer. In the USA, you submit the footage to the Landlord of the building and Ask that they contact Police or Sherriffs, asking them to give a Criminal Trespass order to this individual the next time Renter/Op calls them. Done and Dusted, the next time he shows up, you call the cops and they ARREST HIM AND PUT HIM IN JAIL. If he gets violent, then can escalate the charges to Felony level.
With him INSIDE A BUILDING, the Land Lord and issues a Criminal Trespass.
The police need to see him to identify him and give the trespass
@@heresthething5379 My point is: only the land lord can ask for a CT, because they are the 'guardian/owner' of the building. The Tennant cannot ask for that CT.
I was not as succinct as I should have been or my typing wasn't as fast as my brain.... Yes, once the land lord has informed law enforcement: they want a CT on this individual, the next time the tennant sees him outside her door, she calls the police to come and give this man the CT. She could call the cops and ask for them to give him a CT, but I'm not sure they would actually do that, without the owner or building manager agreeing. For all we know, he lives in the building.

My grandmother had dementia, and she barricaded herself in her room once. When I finally got in, she had my old baseball bat in her hand and was threatening to harm me because, “Val was going to come and hurt me!” she said. I said “who is Val?” She wouldn’t say specifically but she was terrified of him. Finally I talked the bat out of her hand and cleaned up her room. Now she raised me from birth, so her acting like I was a stranger and part of a conspiracy with some guy named Val, it just blew my mind. She had that same look that lady had in the last video.

@@DMCM84 Thank you for commenting 🙏🏻. Yes, that was the very first thing I did. I asked her older sister who is 104 with a sound mind, and she had no clue who Val was. I gave her all the details of what my grandmother said, and about how he would sneak up the stairs late at night when everyone was asleep. But my grandmother would stop there, she’d never elaborate after that. My aunt said my grandmother used to have terrible nightmares as a girl in Salford England, especially when the Germans were dropping bombs on Manchester. I said did anything specifically spark these nightmares that you know of? She said no. Maybe the war? She didn’t know. I said, it was so specific, it had to be real. Then she kind of got defensive saying if anything like that ever happened she would’ve known and she would’ve told someone! So I didn’t push any further. It’s so frustrating not knowing the answer 🙈. It seemed too real for it to have been some kind of nightmare she thought was reality. She was my everything and my rock, I was just glad I was able to make her last days comfortable and peaceful as possible. Not knowing is the hard part.

Whenever I see things like the almost home invasion, I thank my lucky stars we have a rear entry garage and always enter the house that way. The rear entry has high fences all around, there's nowhere for anyone to hide back there, and we can enter the garage & close the door before exiting our vehicles. Whew.
You know who the old woman with the knife reminds me of? There was an old woman arrested by the cops. She had taken some stuff from Wal-Mart. She had dementia. When the cops caught up to her, they threw her on the ground, popping her shoulder out of joint. It was caught on their body cams. When she was at the detention center, the cops played back the video of her shoulder popping out, and they were laughing because they could hear it on the camera. I can't remember if they were just disciplined or fired. But that lady reminds me of her.
😨 cops can be monsters. There is an article and many psychological studies of the fact that people who go into positions of authority or caring for others can have psychopathic tendencies due to wanting to have control of people of the weak. Teachers nurses doctors cops judges etc. Not all but to say that they are heroes is not true. Heroes do things without the paycheck without the looking for praises on social medias.

More than likely she wasn’t evading police pursuit. The dress she is wearing looks to be a style often seen by club/party goers. Perhaps she was being harassed by others in the club or party and she had been driven to the point of needing to flee. Just a thought.

I got us a security cam for our front door (not a doorbell one but a 360° security one, battery powered with little solar panel & wifi connected) after someone rang our doorbell at 0:15am. At the time we had no light for our porch at the front door cause of renovations to the roofboxes and stuff and so the light was temporarily cut off. So needless to say we didn't see anyone. The person also didn't use a flashlight cause...well we would've seen that. I tried looking outside with a flashlight but didn't see anyone. We have a little "foreroom" before our actual front door that has yet another door. So we went out the house door into the foreroom and asked "Who's there? Hello? 🤨" but no one replied. We obviously didn't go outside. I found one set of footprints leading up to our door. The person set one foot onto the porch and rang our doorbell. Judging by the shoe size it was definitely a man.
Here's why that's so weird (I mean it's already weird but here's the reason that makes it MUCH MUCH weirder): First of all we live in a rather rural area. A village. There's people who live here and people that drive through this place to get somwhere else. No one has a reason to be here, ESPECIALLY not at night. Usually NOTHING happens here ever. You can leave your car unlocked, your garage open etc. and you don't really have to give a shit cause nothing ever happens here. Also our road is a dead end/one way road. You can only access it through the one "entrance" where the road is. Everything else is properties with fences and hedges (and not the ones with leaves; i mean hedges consisting of fir). And from the entrance of our street to our house there are FIVE other houses, all with their front door basically directly next to the road. So if someone really needed smth for whatever reason in the middle of the night our house is like the last option to pick. You know why? Cause OUR house is further away from the street. If you wanna reach our front foor you have to walk like 30m/33 yards to reach it and seeing the door from the road is kinda obscured by trees and bushes. Pretty convenient right? Either way the person left ad nothing happened after that. My guess is it was someone checking the house for inhabitants and whether it is occupied or not. If not they could've robbed it.
And BTW yes, I did talk to neighbors in the following days asking them if someone had rung their doorbell in the middle of the night or if they rang our doorbell for some reason. No one did. No one rang our doorbell and no one else had their doorbell rung. We were the only ones - those whose house is by far the furthest from the street...

Regarding the last clip, people suffering with dementia, alongside their diminishing comprehension of the world around them, their Circadian clock (the natural internal biological clock that gives us the rhythm of our sleeping and waking patterns ) is often effected. We used to have a lovely neighbour in the apartment next door who sadly became more and more confused, and sometimes she would ring on our doorbell at 3am or 4am. The lady in the clip's movements are exactly what we saw in our neighbour. Admittedly our neighbour wasn't carrying a kitchen knife, but watching the clip, it appears that that lady was perhaps in the kitchen or something, suddenly became confused and afraid, so wandered out, looking for reassurance from someone, maybe even forgetting that the knife was still in her hand.

As a health care professional I definitely think the older lady has dementia, Alzheimer’s or has some kind of delirium. Looking at her body language especially the rocking back and forth is a good indicator of it. The confusion on her face too. I hope she’s getting the help she needs

Video #1 - while creepy and scary for the home owner, technically the person isn’t breaking any laws. The building owner would have to have the guy trespassed.
Video #2 - the home owners should have asked the lady via the ring camera if she was in trouble and needed them to call 911. What if she truly was in danger? If the woman were to say no, and ask the homeowner to come to the door, call 911.
#3 - A huge nothingburger. Just someone trying to steal stuff
#4 - An old lady who clearly forgot to take her Dementia medication.

Last woman definitely has dementia, the unsettled movement, the pacing, the distress on her face due to the new environment and the weilding of the knife but with visible distress like she doesn't know what she's doing points to dementia.

I have had people try and break into my home a few times over the years at different locations but I'm law enforcement and carry for work and protection and I have two massive dogs, a English Mastiff and Great Pyrenees both over 225 pounds. We got them because someone had tried breaking in and I was saved from having to use my firearm when my German Shepard attacked a intruder right after I was married but after she passed I didn't get another dog until someone tried to break in again so I got my giant babies.

That dog barking in the background wasn't just any ordinary bark it was clearly a distressed call so that dog clearly noticed that something wasn't quite right outside the house that night they really have a 6th sense for this kind of stuff

This is why everyone should own at least 1 firearm! To protect yourself and others. Too many times you’ll get people saying just to call the police. Getting through the 911 operator and getting the situation described can take 50x or more longer than it takes a situation to turn bad and worse, deadly. A firearm for home protection is hundreds of times faster than police showing up.

I would tell the lady in the first story to get a dog, preferably a big dog. Though it would mean taking the dog out, at least the dog would be with her when she did and it might scare him off. But, I realize many apartment houses don't allow dogs... which I think is unwise, given the protection just the presence of a dog is known to provide. (It's true. Because a dog will bark at any unfamiliar sounds or movement, just having dog is thought to discourage many home invasions.)
Also, about Ring doorbell cameras, it was discovered that the footage from these was being gathered independently by some kind of hacker (I believe it was hacker; there was definitely some kind of security breach related to them) so, although I was thinking of getting one, I decided against it.
I’ve seen the video of the old lady with the knife on other channels. It just made me more sad than afraid. 😔😔😔

You asked what we would do on the first video about the guy loitering outside the apartment, well I put it like this I am a woman with a rather large, and protective dog as well as a very large always loaded firearm, and what I would do is call a male friend to assist me the next time the man came outside and was standing outside my door and I would confront him and let him see my very large firearm and very large dog.
This is why i firmly believe in the right to self protection i mean why shouldn't you be allowed to use force to defend yourself because are you really just supposed to just stand there hoping that an intruder won't try to harm you what good would that to you when it may already too late to do anything at all

The second set of lights if she was scared she never would've ran the way they was comming from she would've went behind the house in the darkness not towards them that was her partner n crime the first set of lights was them driving around she would've been n a house by then which mostlikely a light would've been on on the house she would've been looking out a window or door n flash the porch light so they see where she is then come get them
She was probably 'hiding' because she was expecting her accomplice's car to turn up and everyone needs to be in position for the plan to work. Once they had arrived, they would see she hadn't gained entry to the house and they'd try somewhere else.

I agree. I think modern tech allows us to to be privy to things we'd never normally be aware of, that isn't actually that helpful. My cousin's cameras showed him his house being robbed whilst he was abroad. Nothing he could do about it but stress!

I love this channel but I have a story. I grew up in Toronto (big city, lots of crime). I eventually got married and moved to rural Saskatchewan (we bought an acreage). EVERYONE was loaded to the teeth in my area. Bottom line: shit don't happen like that out here. All these people in this episode get shot. Dead. I'm not saying it's right, but it all depends on where you live.
