AEROSMITH FACTS
-American rock band formed in Boston in 1970.
-The band’s style is rooted in blues-based hard rock but they’ve also incorporated elements of pop rock, heavy metal, glam metal, and rhythm and blues.
-By the end of the 1970s they were amongst the most popular hard rock bands in the world.
-Drug addiction and internal conflict led to the departures of Perry and Whitford in 1978 and 1981 but they returned to the band in 1984.
-The band had a comeback tour and one album which did not meet commercial success.
- It wasn’t until 1986/1987 that they caught the attention of the world again with their collaboration with rap group Run DMC on a remake of “Walk This Way”.
-The band went on to achieve worldwide success, once again throughout the late 1980s and 1990s. Their comeback was described as one of the most remarkable and spectacular in rock history.

“DREAM ON” SONG FACTS
-Released in June 1973 it peaked at number 59 on the Billboard Hot 100 but the song became a huge hit in their hometown of Boston.
-This song was their first major hit and has become a classic rock radio staple.
-From their debut album, “Aerosmith”.
-In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked the song at number 172 on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. By 2021 it was re-ranked to position 199.
-In 2018, the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

I don't know a thing about how these vids are edited. Seems to me they'd be a real chore to make well. Kudos to whomever is editing these. Also, the goats had me rolling.
This song was from their first album in 1973 and what blows my mind is they perform this EXACTLY the same way today--high note and all. I swear, Steven Tyler is a freak of nature. 🥰

I've seen Aerosmith in concert five times. They left it all on stage Everytime. Their concert tour for Permanent Vacation album was the best of the five.

As a kid in the 70s and 80s, I grew up in the period in which this tune got its share of radio airplay on the rock and roll stations. But I didn't truly appreciate it for its music nor for its thoughtful words. But time changes us, and today in my fifties I consider this one of the best songs of the Seventies-- and one of the greatest rock songs ever recorded. I eventually came to understand the sentiment, and it blows my mind that someone so young, lead singer Steven Tyler, could pen such deep and profound lyrics ... I mean, looking in the mirror at the wrinkles becoming deeper, and trying to cherish one's time today because any day now God can call you home. Just, wow. It's a distinct pleasure today to see music lovers experiencing this song, for the first time here on CZcams. Good music is always loved and will always be appreciated.
Seen Aerosmith in concert, it was on my bucketlist. This is my favourite song by them. When he brought out his white piano, I cried from the beginning to end! Love seeing people love them too! ❤🇨🇦

I wasn't much of an Aerosmith fan back in the day, but this song is in my Top 5 greatest Rock songs ever !!
You should've seen it live from the front row in 1985. I was with six of my best friends in HS singing along with 10,000 others. Time kind of stood still and we had the time of our lives. That song and their albums were part of the soundtrack of my HS days. Even though it's probably the most overplayed hit by Aerosmith as far as radio goes...you can totally understand why.
I noticed one person recognized this was sampled for Eminem's song 'Sing for the Moment'. Lead singer Steven Tyler performed the song with Eminem for his Hall of Fame induction in 2022. Awesome song.
