I just got accepted to a sonography program yesterday, so now I am studying up extra hard to see what I should expect!! I am so excited abut also so nervous! Thank you for making this video - it's a big help!
You are an inspiration honestly! All of this information is so incredibly valuable. I'm a senior in high school who originally wanted to persue a career in culinary but halfway through my senior year which was jsut recently I began interested in the sonography career. I have never been into any of the medical stuff but now I am feeling confident and you have really motivated me!! THANK YOU!
Thank you for this! I’ve recently been accepted into the DMS program and I’m extremely nervous but videos like yours have been building up my determination. Great info👏🏽👍🏽
Great video! & thank you for acknowledging the moms/wives that are in the midst of this grueling program! It's so much work & very hard and now with covid we had to suspend labs, clinicals and our may 2021 graduation has been pushed back to August of next year :(
This came out just in time thanks for the video I'm so excited to start applying to this program hoping I get in since I have to retake a course which is physics and I need at least a B, but all that a side I'm ready to start working and making money. It's a 15 month program and close to my home other programs are 2 years but 2 hours away and I'm not driving so busing it will not work
I got accepted as an alternate, but am preparing as if I got a seat since I could very much be starting soon. Thank you for posting this content! Very helpful!
Your so cute. I am currently in my second semester. YOU GOT EVERYTHING ON POINT!! I am exhausted every single day!! And have 3 kids (6years old, 5years old, & 9 months now) and work too ..I decided to slow down on working now. And I feel really mentally and physically drained..everyday I fight myself to not quit. Thank you for this video!
You are doing great momma!! Hard work pays off! It will worth every moment you put in! I don’t know how moms with kids do it, I was single and I was exhausted
oh my goodness ! I just got accepted and i start in January, and I've been so worried about how it's going to work with a soon-to-be one year old and possibly a full time job.
@@chasitypolk5943 how’s it going? I’m trying to get a full time job and start taking my pre-reqs so I can apply to the nearest program near me! But I also have a one year old
This is a great video! I’ve been binge watching sonography videos like yours on CZcams because I start my Vascular Sonography program next week! I’m really excited and wanna be as prepared as can be. Thanks for the tips!
Hello! Thanks for doing this video. I’m considering a sonography program and am registering for a few prerequisites I’ve never taken. I’m curious- as a single person, and not being able to work, how did you afford rent/bills? I assume you can’t work for the entire two years. I’d have to leave my job for this, and that’s a scary proposition.
Honest question! If you’re in a full time program like this, how do you survive financially since you aren’t able to work? I really want to get into a program like this but it seems impossible financially.
I would recommend online remote jobs if you can for the weekends because that's what I'm doing. It is actually very hard to balance but hopefully if you have some family support you should do well. Best of luck!
As long as you are a registered tech and Have at least a couple years of experience, I’m sure you can work as a travel tech no problem! It sounds amazing for young people!
So the first thing was that you basically lose all your time.. by any chance do you know how you would continue to pay bills while in school for this if you’re no longer living w your parents?
@@NjckiTran Hi Njcki, do you still take physcis if you have already have college physics 1& 2? Also l saw they have physics and instrumentations, is that as hard as regular college physics? Thank you
It’s been a while but I think 4 classes and for some people who didn’t take some non-related classes that are required for graduation (psychology, health, etc) they have to take that extra class too
It ranges from where you live. In my area, a new grad can expect anywhere from $30/ hour - $35 depends on the company. PRN gets pay more but with no benefits
did you have to take classes or prerequisites before the sonography program? if you did, how long did it take? i’m going into community college for an associates degree in sonography, but to apply it says they have requirements to have prerequisites, so i dont know if i need to do those first or if it will be included in the program? ugh sorry im so bad at explaininggg!
VEANNE usually for communities colleges make you take all prereqs before going into the program Some schools make you take a certain prereqs mixed with the program
SORRY for the LATE reply but these wonderful people here answered it all! yes you have to take all the prerequisites before you apply to the program (at least that's how it is in my state)

Hi Michael! That’s a great question. So My husband was able to support me through my journey with ultrasound school. But lots of my classmates got financial aid plus some student loans and also tried to work over the weekend. It’s a lot but you can do it. Good luck! Let me know if you have any other questions

Tani Weinstein what pre classes did you have to take before you could apply for the program?
What classes have to be done before you can get into the program?
Kourtnee Earnest check the prerequisites of the school you’re planning to apply.
Any updates? :)

I normally work 4:30am to 4:00pm, with 3 children, and school lol I think the school schedule sounds just like my life right now 🤣
I feel you! Lol. You can do it! :)
Would you consider Nova to be an expensive school and did you like it there
yes it is expensive
Hi, did you have to take trig for a pre-req? Or at least before you took physics?
Yes, it's a specific class which will help with physics a lot.
Can you give us a little background about yourself?
Do all schools have the teas test? The college I’m interested in for sonography doesn’t mention anything about that
That I don’t know. All the school in my area requires it. It would be nice if you don’t have to take it!
