Did you do the majority or all of this painting with sable brushes ? I heard you mention once that you did not want to move a lot of paint around on the canvas. Hence the use of sable brushes ? Do you usually use sable brushes when painting clouds in oil ? Any comments on use of brush types would be welcome for cloud painting tips. Great work and thanks for sharing !

Hi Brett, I do all my blocking in with bristle brushes first. When I mentioned in the preview, I didn't want to move much paint around, I was using a Rosemary angular brush, which is a soft brush. I was working refinement at the time and adding thicker paint. Blocking in I use bristles, all the time. For most of my finishing I will move to a sable or soft brush. For Bristles I like Rosemary & Co classic Long Flats, #7 and a couple other sizes and some of the softer brushes I use is Rosemary Angular series 275. windriverarts.com/ has these brushes listed as my cloud brushes. You can buy there. Hope that helps, thanks for watching and subscribe for more upcoming videos! 😀
