We just purchased the Concept 2. We realized we did not need a big screen tv for a 15-30 workout when you have an iPad and youtube. I wish Hydrow and Aviron sold a rowing machine without the big screen and subscriptions, albeit I know that is where they make the $$. Completely satisfied with the Concept 2.

You're the reason I bought the original Hydrow a couple years ago and still love it, I wouldn't change a thing with it. We also have Apple Fitness and have recently bought FightCamp so...we have loads of options. Having multiple services isn't for everyone but we really like have lots of options.

I am a Concept 2 guy. I am a little tempted by the rowing on the water videos, but see that as something for once in a while thing. I don't do much steady state. Mostly I integrate rowing intervals into lifting workouts. If Hydrow offered the full Concept 2 functionality for that kind of workout, I might consider it. As it stands, not interested.

Hey bro, idk if you’ll see this but I used to watch your videos and you always have good advice. I’m returning to rowing after a few years off and I’m having trouble maintaining good posture. About 5 minutes into a piece and I feel my back starting to round, and it hurts trying to keep it straight. Would this just be down to a weak core and inflexible hamstrings, or do you have anything else that might help. I definitely want to fix this as keeping an upright posture gives me so much more power. Thanks.

I do wish that Concept 2 would retrofit, as an option, the rower with a beautiful large screen. People love the screens and workouts that one can go straight into (and not have to strain to look at an I-Phone in a cradle).

Hi Austin, recently purchased my first rowing machine and am only a week in. I have a question that I can’t find any answers to. How can I prevent the feet at the front of my rower from lifting on the catch? Thanks, Steve

Can you comment on apple fitness plus rowing classes? I’m a beginner rower but i love your workouts and dark horse’s… My concern is that they’re focusing more on SR vs split500 times as the more reliable metric… hope you join them and show em how it’s done!

Please help, Im a newbie and about to dive into my first water rower purchase... the sales guy has mentioned that resistance level of a vertical drum is far greater than that of a horizontal drum. If my goal is cardio, muscle tone and strength, could a horizontal drum generate sufficient resistance? Apologies for the newbie question, im sure the answer is yes, however, so i go horizontal of vertical?

Do you think C2 is starting to feel some pressure in this “online” “follow along”? I wonder if the PM6 will be more of a tablet and have more of a game focus to it? Where do you see the future of Concept2?

With all the rowers you tried. Why not compare the real distance versus the real aviron on a lake. For the same strengh, cadance, power. Wich one give about the same distance each row ? Hydro and Nordictrack stop their progress that's why I bought Aviron impact.
