I am always saying WE GOT THIS in real life and online. We all have our own struggles and I believe we can get through anything together. When I was diagnosed with cancer in September, I thought this was my own struggle but I realised my cancer has affected everyone around me. I am a daughter, a girlfriend, a sister, a friend, a cousin, a grand daughter & more. I know my journey has affected everyone around me and I know now more than ever that I have no choice but to get better. Whatever life throws at us, we are going to get through it together. So sorry you have had such difficulty after your surgical biopsies. I work at a cancer center in the U.S. I would have thought your doctors would have been more attentive to your bleeding and pain. Please continue to be strong and advocate for your health and care. Blessings to you, your sweet mother, and Matt.
Agree … whenever anyone I know has had surgery the attending physicians make sure they or their delegates are available for any possible post op complications even if it’s to a nurse / doctor calling from an A&E dept… at least that is our healthcare system in Australia 🇦🇺
Facts! I had cancer they were so attentive of my condition and needs. I went to UNC CHAPEL HILL CANCER HOSPITAL. They were the best. I feel so bad for her, the tears are uncontrollable. So sad! 😢

I found it so hard to watch you suffering so much, and can’t imagine how difficult the day was for your mum. I’m so glad the morphine and anti-sickness meds did their job, and you were able to go home to Matt the same day. I hope he had/has a lovely birthday (not sure how much delay there is with uploading this video) I do wonder how you manage to film and edit so much, but I guess it’s actually a distraction for you, and gives you a focus away from your health issues. I hope your meeting with your surgeon goes well, and that your bleeding soon stops.

I absolutely do not understand how she can vlog??? I’ve fought stage 4 cancer for 10:years, I been through so much. Ive relapsed 4x’s. I’ve been through years of chemo, I’ve had 2 bone marrow transplants, then graft vs host disease which is a rejection of my donors and my body began to attack its self literally to death. It attacked all my skin leaving me blistered like 3rd degree burns, attacked organs, my mouth and my teeth fell out. I had so many complications I can’t even list everything. I had nurses at the house around the clock. It also caused me to then get scleroderma and my whole body hardened as hard as a rock. Literally it was like I drank cement and it hardened inside of me. The anxiety was through the roof. I felt trapped inside my body. It Left me bedridden in diapers for 3 years. I’ve had hospital stays that were 100+ day. To sum it all up by the grace of god I’m still here today! My doctors are amazed. I’m still have a lot of health issues and permanently disabled and in a wheelchair but I’m here😊 But what I wanted to say is I can’t comprehend how she can vlog. There is absolutely so way I would or could do that. Maybe I was on a different level. But I know the way I felt I couldn’t even talk to people little lone film and then edit. Also personally feeling the way I did and what I was going through I didn’t want to publicly show it.

It hurt my heart so much to see the look of pain on your mom's face as she drove you to the hospital. I know that pain. She would do anything to take away your pain or trade places with you. She is just so lovely and caring. I send good vibes and hugs to you and hope you feel better soon.
You said “how much is one meant to take?” Having gone through all this myself I can certainly relate. Unfortunately such is the path for many people who are treated for cancer. I’ve never liked the terms fighting or battling cancer. Because I think it’s much more than a fight or a battle. You will surprise yourself at some time in the future when you look back and realize and appreciate just how much you had to endure and how you mustered the strength to get through it all. Having such a loving family, with you in person and online makes a tremendous difference. And while there is much emphasis on the patient experience, your family needs to be praised for all they do to support you.
So incredibly hard for a mom to see her baby in pain, hugs to you and big hugs to mom.

I know it's hard to control our thoughts and emotions but next time you feel responsible when things seem to be going wrong, just remember you're body is fighting an illness. The illness is NOT you. Tiffany, it’s really important for you to seek help as soon as possible, your surgeon should have been contacted for your bleeding that wasn’t stopping.
Your health should be your FIRST priority, birthdays come and go and you can celebrate Matt’s birthday another day.
He is a kind and loving man, he will understand that you are not well.
Please be proactive in your cancer treatment, ask as many questions as you need so that you are well informed. I feel that you have waited a long time to hear about your surgery, so please ask detailed questions…
I am glad you feel better now and you are able to spend time with Matt but always remember that the sooner you seek help, the less stress you and your mum will be.
Don’t wait until the pain is un bearable, this is your journey and you need to make sure you decide what is right and what is wrong.

I think that last time they did core biopsy, which is different from previous one, and side affects are vomiting, bleeding, hope today you feel better, I'm christian, orthodox, and I swear, I really pray for you to be cancer free soon, you dont' deserve all this :( you are angel on earth

Oh, so sorry! Geeze, such a saga you've gone through so far. But you will get past this!! There were many very bad points during my sickness too but I'm now a 25 year survivor - imagine you saying that in 25 years and looking back what you overcame. A big hug to you!
Tiffany you mean so much to me. You have touched my life and soul. The Tiffany Thinks family is connected to you in spirit and with you every step of the way.
My older brother (35) was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia (AML) last December and faced the trials of high dose chemo and the difficult decision of deciding to go through with his Bone Marrow Transplant.
The decision was difficult because he had “at least” intermediate risk for Acute Relapse- but did not have a perfect bone marrow donor match (devastatingly I was not).
He is African American and finding a donor match is more difficult for underrepresented minorities.
God guided us, his decision, and the fight for his life due to severe transplant VOD complications.
God guided our family, his care team (IRL angels) to pour their soul into his recovery, and gave him the strength to keep going well seemed dark. At his lowest point nothing made sense, everything hurt and he was frightened/traumatized by his own body.
He spent 4.5 of the last 8 months admitted in the hospital receiving treatment.
When all feels lost and you/Amma/Matt have done everything possible, trust in God my dearest. I found God recently… but it’s true after all your efforts, the future is in his hands.
He will guide your decisions, surgery, recovery, headspace and journey through this life. With love, you are blessed and we pray for you.
Love you Tiff. You are a rare blessing for us all.

My daughter was diagnosed with ALL on May 13th this year and is currently undergoing intensive chemo treatment so I really sympathise with all you have gone through with your brother and wish him well.

After treatment she’ll value our God given time together, love and family all the more💗. chemotherapy is super effective for remission.
September is leukemia awareness month. Perhaps you have a “light the night” support walk somewhere near you this month.

I agree. She should never have had bleeding to begin with. They can stop the bleeding right after taking the tissue samples. Then the surgeon still does nothing for her even after she has told him she’s had days and days of heavy bleeding. She needs a new surgeon.

Next time PAGE your surgeon he can be reached for emergencies. You pay him you’re not bothering him under these conditions. Then if he doesn’t respond go to the hospital. Just some advice that I’ve done in the past.
Good for you! You did not let that "strange" doctor stick his finger in your bottom because that is not your oncologist. I turned down that same type of examination when I was 27 and pregnant with my first and only child and went to a hospital emergency room. The attending doctor got annoyed with me and said I was "inhibiting the examination." We have our dignity, and we also have the right to turn down any examination we want for whatever reason we want. I'm glad you got over that initial scare of an infection and got the treatment you did. And keep going to hospital whenever you have an issue - don't wait. Matt would have understood if you had to stay miss his birthday - those birthdays come around each year (to my annoyance in my old age. LOL

Sweet Tiffany I’m so sorry you’re struggling with the after effects of your biopsies. Pretty soon you’ll be able to have your surgery and be on the healing side of this horrible disease. I am so glad you are feeling better mentally and physically! You definitely needed IV fluids. I'm so glad you have medicine that will help with the vomiting too. This is one problem in our NH S that needs to be sorted, the lack of beds and quick access to consultants are a serious problem.
You’ve got this Tiff and don’t worry am sure Matt will understand. Get better first.

Sadly this is happening everywhere. I'm in Australia and there's shortages of paramedics, nursed, drs, beds etc
Many cancer specialist units will be in the same position, its really important unless someone has discussed with a CNS on an oncology red line (usually a card given to patients) or some other method of contacting their cancer unit that day to discuss their symptoms, they should go to an ED. Often specialist units will ask for their patients to be stabilised in an ED first, have cultures done etc as they don't want infections on units with other immune-suppressed people. However, they will endeavour to get their patients out of ED and on to the ward asap.
I am dying of cancer... I plan to take my own life in a few days...you are lucky

Oh Tiffany this broke my heart. Your suffering reminds me so much of my poor mum. Also seeing your heart monitor, your heart racing, it honestly brings awful memories. I understand the feeling of guilt and anger for possibly ruining moments for the people you love, but always remember they love you very much and all they want is for you to be ok. Oh thank god you got to the hospital. I'm glad they gave you the good pain killers. gut pain /abdomen pain is one of the worst pains equal to a migraine IMHO. Hopefully they will get back to you with good news though. Honestly I think it's just inflammation and lack of fluids. If you had a major infection you'd have a high fever as well. Your body is just stressed at the moment. I'm so happy for you that you get to spend time with your husband on his birthday! :)

Those doctors need to listen to you more quickly and do something about the pain & bleeding. You shouldn’t have to wait until it is an emergency to get help! Be the squeaky wheel Tiffany. You must advocate for yourself. Be polite but firm, be proactive for yourself. I know how hard that must be when you are sick! You are not wimp girl, that’s for sure! Blessing to you!!
I was thinking the same thing about being one’s own advocate. As a former RN, I encourage you, Tiffany, to speak up! This has been going on since last week when you had the biopsies. The bleeding should have slowed or stopped by this point. If a complication arises ever again, call the surgeons office right away. Don’t take a “wait and see” approach. Instead, take charge of you! You call the shots from here on out! We love you Tiff, and want all the best outcomes for you sweet girl!! Hugs and prayers! 🥰💝
Great advice for any patient or for preventive care. It's harder than one thinks, some Doctors give off an intimidation that nothing should be questioned even if merely to simply provide clarity.
This whole story really torques me! Her medical team, if there is one, is disturbingly lackadaisical about Tiff. Don’t know how there ystem works, but, if she has a g.p., he/she should be on this case, following her daily and pressuring these “consulting” doctors to get on with it. My husband is a physician and if she were his patient she would have had all the needed tests and an appointment with an oncologist within 2 weeks at the very latest. What’s happening to Tiff is a crime! Full stop!
What's so sad is that a lot of them don't listen... they never listened to me...and I almost died....
@@lisawillbrand2281 I’m with you on this! I think they have a totally different system over there, and getting an appointment in a timely fashion is non-existent. Even still, she has to take the bull by it’s horns, and be proactive. She should have been attended to right away from the surgeon who did the biopsies. That amount of bleeding should have been a red flag to the ER staff that would cause them to notify her surgeon, and take further action. Your right. They are working at a leisurely pace, and don’t have much concern about Tiff!
