  • In the men’s 50m Freestyle at the 2021 TYR Pro Series at Mission Viejo, Brazilian Olympian Bruno Fratus touched first in 21.80. U.S. National Team members Caeleb Dressel and Michael Andrew rounded out the top three, finishing in 21.83 and 22.13, respectively.

      ​@@tomaliafern4219 1 year later but no its not even that, its the same as the 60m and 100m in sprinting. you'll see noah lyles and trayvon bromell when there are like 40 athletes in america alone with better or the same times, just because they get the views and because they have made names for themselves outside of just being good at the sport (noah's confidence and ego, bromells redemption arc). anyone just wanted to say

      Simple, faster stroke, because he is a smaller guy his hand speed have to be more! you can practice you start but you need your kick and poll faster! that why caleb fail! Fratus still can improve his start!

      Dressel can shave and taper, and improve.

      @@haraldfranck9 probably not. But 2 weeks rest is half a taper. And it’s certainly a lot more rest than Caeleb has at this point.

      @@user-em4wh5ji3w I think nobody will be able to challenge caeleb in tokyo, his start is just too good but i wouldn't say there is no chance. fratus often has a faster finish than both dressel and manaudou. there are definitely more than 2 swimmers who could win this

    That was a you tube video where everyone said that fratus was not good enough for caleb! Ans since when caleb is 3 times world champion? As long a know the 50 m free belongs to Cesar Cielo 20:91 and first swimmer under 21 ever!

    Vladimir Morozov put in amerikos in Russia to the fullest and this without serious training. Andrew is super-so swimming at this age is not realistic. Bravo !!!

    Dressel was disappointed by his 2 place...by my opinion he needs to loose 3-5 kilos and it makes him the number 1. No doubts

    Caeleb "the asymptote" Dressel is the god of sprinting and he's going to break that super-extra-mega-ultra suited record this summer.
    Dressel under heavy training: 21.83 , Fratus shaved and rested: 21.80. LOL

      i definitely think dressel was in worse shape for this meet but i did see that Bruno had found out that he was going to use the mission viejo meet to qualify within 14 days of the meet, so he probably wasn't fully rested.

      @@andystakauskas453 dressel has consistently been beating andrew in the 50. Andrew also is starting to focus more on the 100 Brest and 200im. He said in his vlog that his favorite event is the 200im. MA has a good chance to make the team in the 50 but I don’t think he has any chance to beat dressel.
