Agreed. Took an absolute beating. Changing all the control arms to RPM brand is a must. Once that is done this thing is nearly indestructible. And for $300 is an absolute bargain.

I underestimated my speed in a parking lot, and my MT-10 went full speed at about 35-40mph into a curb. It rolled right away, not a single broken part. I was absolutely baffled, because if I sneeze the wrong way, my Kraton 6s bends a shock tower.
Kraton 6s owner here. Can confirm that is correct.
Bought this when it released a couple years ago. Drove it constantly and had about $50 bucks into it before I sold it last month. Awesome truck, tough and keeps up with the 8th scale rigs.
The beating this thing takes is unreal, you really can't go wrong with it and the price is amazing!

i will say that rc is crazy amazing. never seen a rc take that much of a beating and still go. love the vidoes and like when you are fixing stuff and act like you are throwing it at it and if is fixed and the video shakes. pretty cool stuff in you videos mate.

Kev you're my RC hero. Your whole crew is awesome. If my channel gets even 25% as popular and good as yours I'll consider it a major achievement. I don't think I've missed a single video of yours since I found your channel quite a while back. That little truck has my senton questioning it's reputation as a tough guy.
I own this car and have to say I agree itâs the toughest Iâve had. I donât have the Kraton yet, but I have the E-Revo, Maxx, Dementor, Kaiju, Vorteks, Felony, LMT, Madvan, Typhon 6s and a handful of lesser name brands. This Rival is always a solid choice and does everything really well, while being SO Fân TOUGH!!!
Recently picked one of these up because of these videos. My first RC since I had a Radio Shack Tsauro-X in like 1994 when I was a child. Also went ahead and ordered some of those RPM a-arms the same time I ordered the car. Good thing I did because I just got home from snapping the front right one! Hahaha time to start learning how to work on these things. XD

I had an RC-10T back in 1991 when they first came out. It was a beast back then, it appears that they have only gotten better.
Got one myself and absolutely love it. Did some tweaking now itâs even more fun. For its price itâs comparable with my maxx :-)
After a year of owning mine, aside from the stock a arms and servo breaking I've noticed the bearings aren't the greatest but other than that it's a tank!!! I got the 4s max 10 and a 4s 2650kv castle motor in mine and it's nuts lol haven't even tried it on 4s yet lol waiting to find a metal spur gear before that lol
This video just might get some attention from the rc aftermarket. Somebody's gonna make a metal spur gear and it's gonna sell.

Only recently got into TA & now have a 14b buggy & the Trophy Rat. Blimey! Amazing cars & so under -rated! Not Kev proof, but both have amazing handling & are at the top of usage n my 30 car fleet. The Rat did an amazing flip last week in a traction roll when I pushed it too hard & didn't even scuff the body & landed on its wheels. Get some! :)
I started with Arrma 3s cars and broke all 5 of them in 3 months. My Rival MT10 is still going after 6 months. Tuff as F.

Always loved anything I got that was team associated. 2wd 10th scale short course truck went full speed into a concrete parking block, anything else I would have been picking up in pieces....it popped the battery out, that was it. I got it used and beat the crap out of it for years. They got their plastics on point when a plastic geared trans can withstand 4800kv on 3s for several years in a row

Perfect car for a kid learning or anyone getting started in rc because the worst thing is trying to learn and breaking parts.also whats up with getting an mt8 im really interested to see how good the metal chassis is.great video you da man.
When I first got into RC I was racing a spec class and it was fun and the cars weâre indestructible. Bashers werenât really a thing then. Then I switched to 1/12 pan car, it was basically a job keeping that thing running, broke it prolly 3/4 of the races. Being able to use it constantly is waaaaay better than waiting for the parts to fix it.
On 3s these will do over 40mph. I'd turn it down for the kids a little.

That thing is tough as nails. đ„ If ya reinforced the body I think it would prevent a lot of the damage it sustained. Losi and Team Associated have always been my 2 favorite RC companies. Kev needs a MC8 now huh đ€
back in the day when i raced buggies, Losi and Associated made up the vast majority of the field. They performed very well, were affordable and durable, great companies.
If he has ANY redcat, he already has an MT8. The MT8 was a large letdown in that it was supposed to improve upon this little monster(MT10). However it replicated the Kaiju and has no stability on 6S. Let down, don't waste your time Kev.

This is perfect! Me and my 3 year old have really started getting interested in RC cars. And I was looking for something we could do together. This is perfect cause I was originally looking at a trap as max
I ended up taking my MT10, putting in the upgraded shocks/CVA, and swapped in a Firma 2200kv/ESC combo and now run it on 4S with 17t pinion and it is an absolute monster. with some heavy belted tires and setting the punch high, it can do a standing double backflip
stemp, a rc, and doom music. didnt know i needed that in my life.

that looks like fun basher at a great price.....i owned a team associates rc10 in the mid 80s still have it. the electronics are toast, the old resisot and servo for the throttle and no reverse, think im going to put a brushless motor and new electrinics in it now. and maybe buy this one as well.

The Arrma Granite 3s is my go to basher....has held up very well over two years now!
Arrma 3s cars are great bashers but the shocks, sloppy steering, linkages and slipper are not the best. With the recent price increase they just aren't worth it when you can buy the Rival MT10 or Pro4 SC which has better shocks and a centre diff for much cheaper
I prefer this over any of my Arrma 3s bashers simply because it just keeps going. My Arrma Big Rock - RIP, Vorteks - RIP. Senton 3s - RIP. No brainer and cheaper.

after watching Kev's torture test I had to get one. One great RC. I agree about the Servo so that's on my list of upgrades.
Get a Reedy metal servo horn too. The Ecoboost servos are so fast the stock plastic horn strips out its thread. Happened on both my MT10 and SC10. I bet that's what happened in this video.
