Iâm happy to see videos like this that include âcheaperâ rcs. We are all bad about just running our big fast powerful trucks to the point that we almost forget about the cheaper side of the hobby
i can't wait for him to do a review on a 144010/124016/124017 from Wltoys , those are 1/14 and 1/12 scale for 150$ and do 90km/h on 3S STOCK! They are mental.

The Rival MT10 is my go to RC alongside my Big Rock. It is definitely the most feature packed and durable 10th scale for the money.

This truck was my first jump into brand name RC's having only done banggood stuff before. 100% best buy I've made. RPM makes improved front and rear lowers and they're a must because they're the only weak point I've found on the car.

This rc car actually surprised me on the performance it made for the price but the durability is actually insane, which surprised me the most. And I think it the XMAX version of dirt cheap

Save your pennies, and dollars. Eventually you will have enough. I feel like if you start with and an inexpensive hobby grade RC you will see that this hobby is worth enjoying in moderation.

This looks like a great car for a beginner. I really like it. It looks great! Especially the detail on the front bumper and the lights. It seems to take a good beating and would be perfect for learning how to go off jumps. Thanks Kevin ,,, Great honest review.

@@shapalandoify there isn't a kit that I know of, but a couple people on eBay buy and part out new RC's so I bought a brand new chassis for $200. I already had electronics and wheels to put on and just had to buy a body

@@shapalandoify no kit. It's rtr. Hate that there's no kits hardly these days all because ppl too lazy and stupid. I got out of the hobby. Only kits are cheap Tamiya plastic heaps and super pricy full race vehicles
I really like the format in this video, you really show us how you tweak your videos from our feedback, not change everything just minor tweaks (ex : Adding the damage report at the end).

As someone who owns one and has replaced a few things already, super easy. Associated Electronics has all the parts on the website with pretty quick shipping and, state side at least, Amazon and all the hobby store sites have pretty much any part you'd need. Only upgrades I have made are a faster coreless 30kg servo and RPM lower arms and it's pretty much bulletproof now.
Having a couple of RC10's from back in the day (still have them) I was thrilled to see this truck when it released.. so much I bought one that same day.. I was toying with thoughts of the Arrma Granite 3S before they started advertising these under "coming soon". Been a great one too!

When I had my Associated Monster GT I never broke anything on it except for two shock pistons lol. That truck was a Tank!

Associated racing products are still niche but this is really just a rebranded Chinese made basher, I love mine though it's great.

Team associated has always been one of the pioneers of real hobby grade racing rc's. They are probably the most reliable for racing and apparently bashing now. The only things ive broke on any of the team associated rc's that me my brother my dad were some suspension arms and some little things. Losi and team associated are both really good brands and are reliable, so beginners, both brands have good rtr's with plenty of upgrades available to spice them up.

Hey kev. I think that with all the trucks you have, you could do a comparison between de one in the same categories. For example, their speed, how they jump, stability, suspension etc. It could be very fun and also help us make the right choice when buying our new toys!

I bought this when it 1st came out. Drove that thing a million times. Replace the A arms and go. Had the SC10 also. Really liked them, sold them since because I'm into big scale more. But I'd buy 1 again definitely.

Iâve bought the TA Pro4 Sc10. Its nearly the same chassie, just a bit longer. Its awesome, very durable too and fun to drive.

Amazing to see that at half the price of an E-maxx in the 2000's, you can get one of these with the performance and durability this has, what a good little basher! Tomley did a bash with one of these a while back and I was impressed with it back then, I also remember some discussion regarding the stock front arms being brittle compared to the replacement factory arms that you buy as spares, and once you change them it's pretty tough.
The Emaxx was crazy expensive for a twin brushed
ARRMA Granite brushless version is the best basher. It rips, jumps, it does flips as well as anything, itâs lighter and it wonât break (which is not the case for the larger models.)
It will break, at least mine did...still a great car.
Love my Granite, but, It will break. Those rear drive shaft just love to pop as well no matter how well I set the slipper.
I've had both trucks for two years and the granite is a little faster but the mt10 is better in every other way.

have you ever tested the redcat blackout xte pro brushless that's what I have about 100 less and lots of upgrades available is my 1st car and I really like it had it full under water a couple of time still works awesome

Got mine 8 months ago for 299 euro, and cant be happier with it. Still on the stock arms front and rear. Great little car.
Now that's the best commercial they ever got. The car deserves it though, I don't think there's any Arrma that could make it through all those tests đ€
...Oh here we go, your comment only backs up what Tomley RC said a week ago. So now the MT10 is the best RC on the planet right? Beats Traxxas, Armma, Hpi, Cen, Axial, Team Corally, and the list goes on.
The MT10 is a nice RC that many users love and others have had issues from day one (no different from other brands), I think Kevin got lucky this didn't break with the beating he gave it. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, understand you will break it eventually... launching it 40+ feet (or less) into the air, this is the nature of our hobby and why we buy these types of RCs instead of Walmart stuff... We can replace the parts when they break.
Remember when it was only $299? I LOVE that RC. I almost sold mine but I am so glad I didn't. A very nimble rig that handles extremely well. It wasn't the most durable, BUT the handling was just muah! /chefskiss
But WOW you beat it to shit! I'm surprised it survived as much as it did! TA must have upgraded the A-arms at some point because I remember others breaking that part really easy.

I gotta say Kevin, I look forward to EVERY SINGLE video you put out! You unbox and test so many different RC cars and trucks and your inside the shop content is really good. So with the good comes the bad, not really bad but constructive criticism. It pains me so much when you take a brand new $800 or more RC out and bash it to the point of destroying it. I get that people love that sort of thing but for me I canât watch. Iâve had to turn off several vids of you doing this. Also when you do mods, instead of taking your time and doing it right you sometimes take short cuts. Does this mean I look to other RC youtubers instead of watching youâŠno. Keep up the fresh content because you got a fan here! Canât wait to see the monster truck finished up!!! -Mike âïž
If, like me, you handed your nearly ÂŁ900 investment to your 10yo to play with in the park then you want to have some confidence that it wont break in 10 mins. The positive side is it only breaks a component of the car so youre not replacing the entire car. Kev shows the limits which might make you wince but actually it demonstrates what youre paying for. To many these cars are out of their league and the investment is massive and a huge gamble. Youre gonna have to replace bits, thats a given, but if you gave it to your kid and he sent it to the moon then whats it gonna do. Its the love for the hobby Kev has and that while you wont do what he does, you know what might happen if you do. This is the one only only channel I cant wait for a new video. Love it Kev!

i had a Team Associated monster gt 4.6 as my first 1/8 scale nitro truck long ago, and maaaan that thing was tough, glad to see another Team Associated model thats durable too!

Hey kev, i got 1 of th mt10s super fun havnt bashed it as hard as you but becareful of th spinners coming off of th rims, and i burnt out th servo , and put a metal servo thats faster and havnt had a bit of trouble thats my 2cents and love watching you push these cars to th limit đđđđđ

I did definitely not expect this car to take such an abuse (which is called fun)!
However I got a cheaper RC car, which I converted to brushless myself. Now it does 60mph on 2S lipo easily. And still it's super durable, never broke it!

This is the first car Iâve bought for getting back into RCâs since a kid, trying to get a couple more to upgrade the kids FTX trash! Itâs menatal loves a bash! Interesting to see why it goes like with a Ecoboost servo, thatâs my next purchase
