  • The Royal Military College (RMC) of Canada in Kingston, Ontario, offers the same top-notch university education as the best Canadian academic institutions with the added emphasis on grooming officer cadets to become leaders in the Forces.
Education and military training are built on a foundation of the four components of achievement - academics, leadership, bilingualism and athletics. In a holistic approach to military education, all four components are integrated into each day and all aspects of education.
With over 25 clubs, a complete intramural sports program and extensive recreational facilities, the Royal Military College of Canada strives to foster the development of well-rounded officer cadets. Students are encouraged to get involved, pursue their personal interests, be creative and have fun.

Also if you have other interests you might wanna look at some other options in the military. I used to be set on infantry but now im leaning to vehicle technician. All trades get basic training the same as the infantry, and from what i heard vehicle techs have a lot of the same responsibilities as infantry just add mechanics on top of it so i dig it. if infantry is your thing thats sweet too.

Back in the early 2000s I worked at the Kingston Youth Shelter where we had some volunteers from RMC. I assumed that volunteering was a compulsory component of their program at RMC, until upon chatting with them I learned that they were doing it to get off base during the evening. Unlike Queen's students, they didn't have the luxury of drinking all night and sleeping in the next day. For young people in their early 20s, I was really struck by their maturity. This was around the time Canada was ramping up its Afghan commitment. I was impressed by their quiet confidence and preparedness for what lay ahead of them.

I have a bunch pf questions. Answers or anything with helpful tips would be much appreciated! :)
    1. Will being an IB student help my chances as becoming a pilot?
    2. As a 12 year old 6th grade student, how good do my grades have to be? I am an average B to A student.
    3. Will being in Royal Canadian AirCadets help my chances of getting in?
    4. What is the max height limit for a CF-18 or F-35? ( because, ya know... Well I want to be a Fast Jet pilot...)
    5. What grades are most important for Academics to be a CF-18 Pilot or F-35 Pilot? Or are all grades important?
    6. I am 12 as I said earlier and I am about ten pounds over weight, is that going to affect my chances of becoming a Fighter Pilot?
    7. Specifically, what are the requirements to become a CF-18 or F-35 Pilot? ( Medical, Physical, Academical, Mental)
    8. I am 12 again as spoken, my birthday was MAY 1st, so when I am old enough to become a Regular Force member, and when I finish paid educations, if I get the option to become a Fighter or Fast Jet Pilot, what jets are we most likely to have CF-18s, F-35s or another? Because I heard that the developing of the F-35 was put on HALT
    9. Are the tests and Exams hard? And what are the topics?
Thanks in Advance, sorry for so many I just really want to prepare. :)

@@BucyKalman Really. But then even if it were, why would a tax payer pay for your degree. Go to a recognized university on your own dime. Based on what I have seen at DND, I could only roll my eyes.

The acceptance rates at RMC are similar to the US Military Academies and the engineering degrees are better. But the football teams suck in Canada - actually come to think of it - they suck at West Point too.
