  • Testing to verify drop equipment will work on the DJI Air 2s and how much wait will it hold. Testing is complex and can vary depending on the application that will be used. There are normally two steps to this process. 1. Understand how your drone will handle the weight with equipment attached to it in a safe environment. And 2. Testing in the environment you will ultimately use it in. The safe environment conditions might differ slightly, humidity, heat, and wind then the actual environment you will use it in. All these factors will determine the ability of the drone to handle certain amount of weight for the actual use case. In my case, surf fishing, I have humidity, heat, wind, and drag of the line to worry about. All these factors will ultimately cause the drone to work harder, performance, and cause rapid battery dissipation. Once you have performed these tests and you feel comfortable with the results then you are good to go. Enjoy your fishing!
Here is a link for the Airdrop I used.

Hi, I will try and put a link up sometime today on the product I used. With all products they are not made equal. Mine may work fine but you may get one that has issues but that is normally the case with Technology these days. If you have any other questions let me know. My next video will show me actually using it for fishing.

Nice. Its all fun and games till you get the drone over the water and off of land. I still get nervous even after dozens of drops.

I make sure my drone has enough battery and nothing to interfere with the signal. Once I put the bait on I take off but hover and make sure everything looks ok. It is electronics so there is always risks but hopefully you can mitigate most of them with proper checking and validation before flying. The biggest thing I try to control is the swinging of the bait underneath because the more and harder it swings causes more stress on the drone.
