Respect to the French for cheering him on and applauding....Another proud welsh man.
That is Rugby
The French are NOT Anglo-Saxon mongrels, that is the difference. The ENGLISH have no respect for anything.
Wait until Saturday. The Women's team from France will slaughter the English at Twickers. Another victory to rank alongside the Men's 55-10 thrashing of the English. Put some money on it, you can't lose.
Applauding? They were surrendering. France is yours now.
@@Demun1649 Well that aged badly.
It was wholesome how the French appreciated that.
As an Englishman I probably shouldn't say it too loud, but the Welsh anthem sends tingles down my spine every time I hear it - best anthem out there IMO.
Best anthem is the Soviet Anthem
@@soothingsounds1093
Not gonna disagree with you, I just played all of it and it gave me goosebumps. I’ve had a soft spot for the Flower of Scotland ever since a Calcutta Cup match at Twickenham many years ago. Hearing tens of thousands of Scots belting it out was truly awe-inspiring as it reverberated around the stadium, it brings tears to my eyes remembering that special day, with supporters from both teams all mixed together, laughing, joking, taking the piss out of each other and singing during the match and later in the bars beneath the stadium.
Both are so much better than our dreadful dirge, God Save the King.🥱
Check this mans house for sheep🔎🐑
The British anthem should be Land of Hope and Glory, way better than God Save the Queen/King. That or Rule Britannia
It's all about the national kekistan anthem
Now theres a man that done his country proud .and respect to the French fans for letting him sing it .
Such passion! Loved the well-deserved French reaction. Regards from NZ.
Kudos to the French fans for cheering 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great sportsmanship from the French.
That's rugby for you.
With fans like this... All you need is 1..
Well done to that man. Love from an Englander.
Your anthem is an embarrassment
Hats off to you sir, nothing short of pationate.
Brothers in arms 🏴🤝🏻🏴
Englander 😂
He's Welsh!
Only in rugby would the home crowd give a lone voice applause. I love rugby and every rugby fan.
Rugby is shit but your correct. If this was football that welsh guy would be minced meat
Ooh ❤
I'm French and I love it!
Fairplay to him and to the good spirit of the french supporters
Thats rugby, respect!
I didn't understand a word, but I understood every bit of it. Props to this guy!
Can all Welsh people hold a tune lol good on you bud 🏴🏴
MY MRS SAYS ABSOLUTELY NOT 😂😂

The Welsh are famous for their beautiful singing. Google Welsh men's choir. It's a joy to hear them either in English or Welsh
99.9% of them can
My favourite Anthem of thé 6 nations. From a frenchman.
Mine, too, as a Scotsmen.
Wonderful. Also, hats off to the French fans for their support. 🏴🇫🇷
As an Irish man i love and respect this ❤ 🇮🇪 Well done sir. Sing it proud!
Sing it proud, sing it loud.
Respect from Eire
Well done that man and well done those French fans. That's the difference between rugby and football fans... imagine a West Ham fan singing 'I'm forever blowing bubbles' in the Millwall end at the Den?!?!? 💥💥💥
Rugby= a player playing for 80 minutes pretending NOT to be injured.. Football= a player pretending TO be injured for 90 minutes.. One of the All Blacks played on for 30 minutes with a simple fracture of his arm..
Love the French fans. Always gracious, even in defeat. I remember being at the game a few years ago at Cardiff when we beat France to win the grand slam. Was with my teenage son. We sat in front of an entire row of French fans and we got and gave banter all the way through. At the final whistle, they all shook our hands and one of them even gave my son his French hat. They were all gracious outside the ground too.
Fantastic. What a voice.
And fully appreciated by the French fans. 👌
It’s that which makes the Six Nations such a glorious event. (Respect from an England fan)
Makes a great change from the abusive, sectarian, tribal chants from football terraces.
Personally, I dislike our Scottish 'anthem', focused on just one long ago battle.
edinburgh?
lol awful voice...but clearly passionate.
@@billyandrew I (as an Englishman) think it is a stirring anthem and love hearing it sung with passion (and a good song to have in your head when you are walking uphill, for some reason!).
Need to see this more in football matches.
That was sung from the heart total passion..
Goosebumps from an Irish am here! Hats off to you 👏🏼
G'wannn the Welsh!! Love it, goosebumps here too from another Irish fella!!!
And goosebumps from a Dutchman too.
Goosebumps from an English man learning welsh
Goosebumps from a Jamaican, and years too. Wow..
it was a beautiful moment that i am glad was on my youtube feed Darren , i would be cool with seeing it more
Spilled his beer all over the Frenchman on his left, who just smiled and joined the applause at the end. Respect.
Gotta love the Welsh heart. Frenchies love anyone with passion...passion for food, passion for music, passion for life....I've seen entire restaurants in France that were filled with people singing drinking eating and loving being alive....France is an eye opener for how people express their passion for life. So naturally a Welshman singing his heart out for his country will get a great reception.
What I love about rugby is the pride from all nations when singing their national anthem and applauded by the opposition. It’s about respect and it doesn’t matter where you are from.
Innit football cause psg play at state de France
It does if your a English wanker !
Sadly Ireland doesn't sing her national anthem.
On the plus side the team of Ireland encompasses the whole island of Ireland, as it should be
@@bensworld5101 😂

I love the Welsh anthem, fair play to the chap singing there on his own and to the French for applauding.
Brilliant, even from an English point of view. And the French recognised his passion also. Just goes to show you what a great game rugby really is. Great passion from all.👍
and as a Scotsman I can only say - respect! great anthem - great rendition... and great response from the French fans. Wish this could happen with football.
As a scot seeing him stand alone in pride of his country bellowing his national anthem with all his heart and soul made me tear up like crazy
True sportsmanship, kudos to the french!😍
Aaahhh...
Good man...
Great French applause...

Goosebumps well done pal and big up the French
French rugby fans are just incredible. Watched the Springboks play in Marseilles, couldn’t have wished for a better experience.
Yep cause it’s only the "original" French that care about rugby
well done.....great anthem....from Scotland where we sing about our independence, but most too scared to take it
Somebody get that man a beer!! What an absolute little legend.
Well done mate! And well done and much respect to those French fans!!
I’m Indian and probably one of a handful of people who follow rugby. The Wales anthem always sends shivers down my spine, and this gentleman’s passion was something to behold.
Fair play to the French crowd for cheering him on.
Good on you for going against the grain!
Endian
An Indian rugby fan? Love to see it! Good on you mate.
Great stuff buddy! spread the great game of rugby in your country!
You’re right in saying that only a handful of people follow rugby. Absolute nonsense of a sport.
i moved back to wales last year... hearing my kids learn welsh through singing made me realise why everybody in wales can sing.... they have a whole week at school where they celebrate welsh culture and the arts.... and all the kids have to learn a welsh language song for it... its fantastic to hear...and keeps the language alive....
That’s so interesting because I just asked the question of whether all the Welsh can sing. I’ve never heard a bad Welsh voice!
That's a great double benefit! Learn the language and a song!
It’s a beautiful language. Love from Canada 🇨🇦
@@Debbie338Yes, all Welsh people can sing.😊
enjoy it while its not racist, we used to sing songs about England and raise the flag when i was in school. its not allowed anymore, im only 29
I'm scottish I've stood proud at Merryfield with the Welsh and when there national anthem gets belted out 😢 I absolutely love it love the Welsh God bless you from a scot
Remember I went to an away day to Scotland and I've never had more fun around great people ever in my life. Scotland was brilliant. Probably the country I'd move to if i ever left my homeland. There was a Scottish women in my town in North Wales aswell. My mums friend. But she was so funny and kind she became my friend too. I'd go visit her to make sure she was OK cuz her family were still in Scotland. Over 40 years she lived in Wales and never lost that thick Scottish accent. 😂
Pull your tongue out of his arse
We Celtis are something else.
We'll be revoking the union in the not too distant future and things are going to get bad, in England.
They'll do like they always do, look after themselves, so Wales won't get a look in.
You should give serious consideration to moving you and your's up here. 🏴
Take care.
You're Scottish and you can't spell Murrayfield?!! A typo surely...I hope! 😂
Aye its a mistake sorry I had a wee dram too much old murryfield absolutely love going to good old Edinburgh staying over and getting to a game
I absolutely LOVE this! I am from the USA and don't know anything about rugby. I don't even know how this got into my CZcams feed, but I love this gentleman's enthusiasm, patriotism and vigor! Good job to the French fans for loving it, as well!
That's how the National anthem SHOULD BE SUNG!!! IF YOU PLAY FOR YOUR COUNTRY, SING THE DAMN THING... DON'T MUMBLE THROUGH IT LIKE SO MANY PLAYERS DO!! THIS GUY SHOULD BE MADE FAMOUS, SUNG WITH PRIDE AND PASSION AND I'M AN ENGLISH MAN!!! WELL DONE, YOU MADE WALES PROUD 😊
Well done, goosebumps from an Englishman and admiration for the French around him!
One Welsh male voice is equivalent to a thousand regular voices! There's definitely something in the water of Wales that creates the best male voices. That brought a tear to this Scots-American's eyes.
French rugby fans are genuinely the best fans I've encountered in all sports. Went to Paris for France v England in 2012 and had a similar experience to the guy in this video. We were offered free food, wine, beer, took photos with French fans; and after the match, the French fans were shaking our hands and congratulating us on the performance. Such a great experience! I'd say that being in Cardiff the next year was a great experience (roof down and incredible atmosphere) but we got pumped and someone kicked my beer over so I can't 😂
Lightyears away from what you could experience in a football game. Rugby fans are just better.
Brilliant !! And massive respect for the France supporters...would never happen in football..
well having witnessed 2 Irishmen belt out their national anthem in the middle of a 98% Danish meet by applause as all national anthems should be. You're wrong.
@@Homievegetable he's not wrong, the Welsh don't even consider wales a country. They're puppets
@@Homievegetable just to add to that before I get raged at, 80% of their own country can't even speak their own language 😑
There goes the Rugby inferiority complex
It would happen in football because the French would pity the Welsh there too
Just so heartwarming ... the Welsh national anthem is beautiful
It declares the love and pride all welshmen feel for their country. ❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏🏴🏴🏴

Probably every tiny nation thats perceived as being cute

Well, that's rugby. You can also have French guys in the very middle of English fans singing la Marseillaise totally sure they'll get cheered and applauded - try do the same at the England vs. France football match.
Plus, in other sports supporters of the opposing teams can access only to specific dedicated sectors of the stadium while in rugby they just sell you the ticket for the place you like most and off you go, enjoy the match...
WOW!!! Amazing, this man will go down as an absolute legend! The French supporters cheering afterwards deserve a nod!
This is absolutely brilliant! As an Englishman, it is with bated breath that I await, "Land of my Fathers", every time we play Wales. The pride and passion the Welsh put into their anthem is awe inspiring and its no wonder they are already 10 points infront of us before kick off!
They can ALL sing too!
Land of my Fathers is a far better anthem than our embarrassing, boot-licking dirge.
And all we have, is God Save (a woke) King!
Same. Always brings a tear to my eye. Their pride and passion is tremendous
@@rjones6219 we ought to sing Jerusalem
I have a suggestion for the welsh Rugby federation.
(After they saw this).
Let him sing the anthem (at the pitch) at the Stadium at a game once.

The most incredible anthem. Well done Sir for your rendition.
Wonderful...the most passionate national anthem well sung and then followed by the second most passionate from the Frenchmen.

What? Soccer supporters sing better? 🙄 Yeh, and Rugby games score more so you don't have to sing or chant the entire game to hide the boredom.

From an Irish man,, that was fabulous sir well done. 👏👏👏👏
My thoughts, too, as a Scotsman.
I was thinking "wow I'm surprised the French fans didn't attack him for being a supporter of the opposite team" and then realised this was a rugby match, not a football game.
As an Englishman who has lived in Wales for thirty years, I am SO PROUD of you.
Good for you, Brian! 👏👏👏👍
I'm exactly a quarter Welsh, Irish, English and Scots - living in Australia via New Zealand. I am confused. Then I hear the Welsh anthem. Tears up.
I think that makes you British in the true sense.
Your three quarters Celt. 😂😂😂🏴
I am a quarter each of those 4 and a quarter French as well (American schools with math and all). I don't recall hearing that anthem before...the song AND that Welshman's fervent rendition, with a beer in his hand no less, was outstanding to this Texan!!

It's what I've always said. Bring one Welshman and you have six voices singing in harmony. Bring two and you have a choir.
Gives you goosebumps. So passionate 🏴 🏴
Our Welsh music teacher made us learn the Welsh national anthem off by heart (In Lancashire!) I can still sing it 45 years later.
I had a Welsh history teacher, who added his own bit the history books, in England, didn't cover, about the Celts.
My family had moved down there, when I was seven, from Scotland.
Over half a century later and I often think about him.
Lancs was once part of Scotland. 😉
The Welsh can sing and have one of the most distinct voices in the world. Bravo.
Fantastic! from an English person...well done that man...
C'est pourquoi j'adore le rugby

Brilliant, oh that's brilliant! And just one of the reasons I love rugby union. Try doing that at a football match & you'll get your head kicked in. At a rugby match, nothing will happen. And afterwards, the fans will mix happily. That's what it's all about. And that was a great rendition of my national anthem!
Amazing, just amazing. Football is always my first love but this is why Rugby Union is a sport I've grown to love. Had this been an away supporter in the home end for an England football International, there'd have been a riot. But in Rugby there is just so much respect all round!
Oh and great voice as well - I presume being able to sing is a requisite to Welsh nationality as I've never met a Welsh person who can't sing 😁
