Jambo! I have been so many times to Ukunda aka Diani Beach. The resort where you had the beer was the Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Resort 4*,I made a short video clip there on my channel. It's great, esp. when you got a villa directly at the beach. For me as a muzungu it is pretty hard to walk alone on these kenyan beaches, cause directly all the beach vendors and beach boys come to me trying to sell their stuff totally overpriced. But the expensive beach resorts have private beach or guarded beaches where beach vendors cannot come to close. Anyway, enjoy Kenya!

I must say the only thing that I dislike about the public beaches is the constant bother from the beach boys or just guys noticing you are not from there and they want to sell you stuff or give you rides and they keep nagging you. That I don't like. Other than that, Mombasa is a nice town to even settle down in retirement, especially Diani beach area. Hoping to do that God willing when I get old.
I was in thailand with my wife on patong beach. This guy bug me to death to buy his sunglasses. I told him no several times. He then said i’m going to ask u again when i come back from walking the beach and if you don’t buy i will kill you! So, i know what you mean about them trippin when u dont want to buy something.

Wait a minute. Czech you said most of the places in Mombasa that you were at don't take Debit cards? Really? Since when? Never heard of that. Wow! That is definitely not good. Mombasa? Geez. Why in the world wouldn't they accept debit cards and they take in hotels and restaurants? I don't get it. Well, I guess I'll find out when I get there hopefully end of this year for my vacation. That is shocking to me. I hope you were able to find your way with cash.

Nairobi and Central Kenya is where people take almost all forms of payments...They know business. No customer should leave just because they couldn't pay; elsewhere, you find people prefer MPESA or cash.
He didn't say Mombasa, he said at that part of Diani beach. Plus many Kenyans don't use debit cards and prefer to use Mpesa as a method of payment
