Jumping in here to post help on this
Just bought the same poppers. If you flip it upside down and shine a hobby light on it you can see the imprint of two circles near the edge of the base. The will be exactly between two of the stud legs but only 1cm from the outer edge. Drill these two out with a 4mm bit and the base will drop off. You need a strong light and it's easier to see on the red one I find

At 1:20 you can see the two that you will have to drill out.
Or go nuts and rip it off
