Why is nobody talking about the legend Rahul Dravid? The reason Tendulkar and Ganguly could hit around the ground while Dravid stayed strong on the other side. Like a wall if you will 😊

Yeah powerplay ,flat pitches,DRS etc and have to face rarely a good bowler so his conversion rate is good

And look at the matches before, 700_800 mostly declared😂.
Definitely Sachin is GOD of cricket, but the KING of cricket is only one : virat he has 24 centuries in tests.
Look at rate of growth of ganguly and dravid .They are absolute legends.

...Still these records will not speak about the greatness of Sachin Tendulkar . He was more than that. He was about the perfect way of using a cricket bat. Control on the ball. The perfect timing and placement and Most importantly the skills he had. Each shot he played was titanium. Certainly Best Batsman of all times.

They started their career at lower down the order then went up.
Dhoni batted down the order constantly down the order throughout his career.
He scored 7800+ runs batting 5 or down. The second best is Rahul Dravid with 3000 approx runs while batting at no 5 or down.

If #RahulDravid had played between the period of 2007-2011 after getting retired as a captain, he'd be No. 1.. with more than 100 half centuries. But #TheWall was unfairly sent out of the team just the next serious he retired as the captain. The reason I hated Dhoni for a long long time.

Think wen India is in trouble with tricky pitches they used Rahul dravid as one down batsman ..still he managed to score..in that tricky pitches....wen pitch is easy batting friendly they used him as 5th wicket batsman..still he scored with good strike rate..that's y he is called most reliable batsman in India..THE WALL

Sachin could have hit "centuries of half centuries".
Ganguly's all 22 centuries were made in just 7 years.Those were come to an end on 2003 World cup semifinal vs Kenya.After five years of his career he can't score any hundred in ODI.After royally comeback in 2006 he made consecutive half centuries vs SA,SL and rest of 2007 WC matches except vs SL in WC07. Consecutively he played superclass in that time except vs SL in WC, where he had able to scored only 7.After England, Australia & Pakistan tour he also made couple of 50s
Tendulkar played between 1989-2013 he has 96 half centuries but Sanga played only 15 years between 2000-2015 he has 93.

The better interpretation would be to include number of centuries too in this data . Basically counting the 50+ scores.

Lower order and upper order batsmen both have their pros and cons, while lower order batsmen have to handle more pressure the opening batsmen have to face the best pace bowlers with the new ball.
It was a greater challenge for upper order batsmen in the 90's since they had to face the likes of Akram, waqar, McGrath, Lee, Ambrose, Walsh, akhtar, donald, vaas etc.
Kepler Wessels played for Australia before 1991 so it should be Australia rather than South Africa!!
