Most of them can't actually do that, they need the hype for a projection of the resources their gonna receive, like, for example, with Anthem. The devs didn't even know what the game was about when the first trailer dropped
apparently its supposed to be by the end of this year
Those trailers are less for gamers and more of a recruitment ad for developers. It's like announcing for example "hey we're making a new star wars game wanna join?"

Looks fantastic. A grounded, believable medieval setting is just awesome and severely underused.
Highly suggest you play the first one. One of the most immersive medieval worlds ever made, great combat system, and just great gameplay mechanics all around. Can't recommend it enough, even all these years later
@Loz8900 it truly was a labour of love. It was riddled with flaws, but you can look past that when you see the sheer level of detail the devs put into the world as a whole. You can tell they really cared, the gameplay is tough and the grind is rewarding. It's truly one of most favourite games ever
The first one definitely proved that you don't need a ton of fantastic elements or anachronistic worldbuilding to make a RPG compelling.
I am so glad I can have the opportunity to watch Henry grow. From a blacksmith's boy who cannot read, he really became a man who is quite hungry

@@nickn7939 likely not, they are very confident on this and have said there wouldn't be a push back of the release date, they said the game is essentially done, it runs on 60fps on PC but hasn't hit 60fps yet on console, plus this kind of thing isn't what "indie" studios do especially when they're trusted like that, they wouldn't risk losing a lot of popularity
@@nickn7939no they said they’ve been working on this basically 6 years now and it’s not like they are a big company trying to squeeze every drop out of a dead game looking at gta 5 they could’ve had at least one more game out instead of milking it 8+ years
The original just went on sale on Steam for like 6 bucks as well. Worth it.

Really like how Henry has gotten a lot Older and probably significantly better at Fighting.
His new look is just amazing, seeing him in Knightly gear with next gen graphics is just perfect
If i'm correct he is not a second older in this game. The game is right after the first 1.
@@jameswayton2340 But atleast after completing the main story of KCD 1 I'd imagine henry has had weeks/months of fighting experience. No idea how long the story of KCD 1 is meant to be timeline-wise, but just assuming its a significant amount of time.
@@Kyle-hi6ffKCD one happens over a few weeks, I’m expecting the second to have a prologue beginning right after the first game. I expect Henry will be nerfed somehow so I think he will be injured and separated from Capon and have to make a name for himself in new surroundings until he reunites with his friends. There is two maps in this game so a time jump at some point does seem likely. :)

one of the greatest critism of the 1 game, no crossbow and no early fire arms, first shot of the 2 game holding gun. well that is interesting.
In the first game that did not have enough money and people to get that features all in. Now they have both more money and people to develop it into the sequel.
eh one thing I liked about the game was that there was no guns its one thing made it different, I hope in kcd2 guns are to a very minimum.
@@chatteyj the guns will not be OP. In one interview they said, these are early guns, they are very basic, not very accurate and they were very hard to reload, so basically you will probably have one shot, because before you reload again, you are dead. Also they said these guns were not reliable and they sometimes exploded when being shot and they suggested this may be even included in the game.
By the way in real history the gun was called "Píšťala" you can google it as "pistala hussite hand gun"
Probably guns will work like archery where you have no crosshair and have to manually aim

@@petrtrepes4542 yes but actually no, we can "interact" with Mutt through dialogue but no patting animation included. and from what the developer said, we can also pet the horse in KCD 2!

No. We probably willnt see Hussite wars in KCD2 yet. And those guns existed in Europe decades of years before Hussites wars too. KCD2 will start only 2 days after KCD1.

I worked at EB when this original launched in Australia and we got like 2 copies. No one knew was it was prior to the launch day, but on launch online was abuzz about it. Unfortunately we sold out immediately and didn’t get in more copies for weeks.
The first one was an amazingly awesome and immersive experience. Nothing like it in the years since.
Glad to see a sequel in around the corner.

I'm wondering how they'll handle Henry's power level at the start. A big part of the first game was learning how to fight. If Henry's already a seasoned warrior, that's fine from a narrative standpoint but if so we could be looking at a very different experience overall from the first game--which itself could be good or bad.
The crossbows and boomsticks are going to be epic. I hope the fighting will remain the same or get even more technical, but the trailer looks sick. Can't wait!

Bro. now that you mentioned it...I'm having a bad feeling about this game, ya know, in the long run. Like, are the devs going to get axed even if they'll perform well on sales, in the future? Ya know how them corpos be, when they have to cut their losses. Apart from that, Embracer's and Square-Enix's mums about the fate of Sleeping Dogs be making me having a heartache after the buyout too. Fingers crossed, man. I hope this franchise can continue further on, even after this one.

Would recommend a few mods if your on pc, bush collision remover, richer merchants, and bow reticle if your a scrub

@@fenfrostpaws2000honestly I'd recommend easy kcd mod and the mod which allows you to switch between enemies easier. Now, easy kcd doesn't make the game too easy, just a few tweaks which make game far more enjoyable in my opinion. The mods guy above me mentioned are totally optional, imo, been playing without them just fine. These two however are a must.
