      Hello Team
      I hope you all are doing well
      I have some doubts
      I have work experience of 22 months in State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer - Worked in different fields like Credit Operations etc
      After that I along with my father am running a business firm.
      As far as my academics are concerned I have 90%+ in both 10th and 12th and CGPA of 8.64 in graduation (B.Tech in ECE -2017 passout)
      So here are my doubts -
      1 - What are my chances according to the profile? - ( Interested in Finance )
      2 - As I am interested mainly in Finance and have work experience too in that field so should I go for Masters in Financial Risk Management (10 months course) in Rotman or an MBA?
      3 - If I get admission how are job prospects there for Finance specifically?
      Hoping to get a reply
      Thanks

    • @Crackverbal_Prep
      @Crackverbal_Prep  Před 5 lety +2

      Hi,
      You may need to explain why you only have 5 years of work experience in total because at your age you'll be expected to have more. 730 is a great GMAT score for Rotman, the rest depends on how well you write your essays.

    Hi
    I am asking this for a friend and myself too.
    1)He has 3 years of experience in IT but left his job 1 year ago to try for some bank jobs but now he changed his mind and wants to do mba abroad.has a gmat score of 680 .is Canada a viable option for him or should he be looking at other colleges around Europe ?
    2)Regarding me I want to do mba but post 5 year experience (3.5 now ) .shall I start preparing from now onwards ? And which country has feasible placement scenarios post mba. (I have heard recruiters prefer white skin over us ) .
    Thank you for the help

    • @Crackverbal_Prep
      @Crackverbal_Prep  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi,
      Thanks for the detailed query. As for your friend, let us tell you upfront that the year-long gap in experience will be a bigger problem than the GMAT score. Do ask him to keep in mind that he will have to write very powerful essays explaining the gap, otherwise his chances of getting into a business school abroad are low. About your other question, you can take a look at this article:
      www.crackverbal.com/40-ways-to-improve-your-b-school-profile/ to help you figure out how to make your profile stand out. You can start working on your profile now but you can keep the GMAT prep for later. A few months is usually enough time to prepare for the GMAT. As for placement, we would suggest that you shouldn't fall for such rumors - look at the data instead. Every big school publishes employment/placement reports. Go through those, it should help clear your doubts.

    Hello sir.
    I'll be turning 21 this June, I am still completing my graduation from DU as a history majors student.
    I know maths has never been my thing but doing an MBA to me seems like the only option left to seek a job, and you definitely need one!
    Could you please give me some tips so that I can start preparing now itself. What masters and/or diploma should I opt now to be able to stick it with my "going to be GMAT score card" that would appreciate my overall portfolio.
    Also sir, as I would be passing out this may, what all should I do to enhance my portfolio for an MBA from US. I don't have any clue about the kind of things a typical mba form demands.
    A little help on this issue would be of great help to me.
    Kindly provide your contact details along and if needed where can we find you in New Delhi.
    Thank you and Regards.

      Hi Anurag,
      That's a great GMAT score! Congrats on getting it!
      Without work experience, you can apply to business schools through any of the deferred admission programs out there. However, your chances of getting into a full-time MBA without deferred admission are low because MBA is designed to be a mid-career program.
