My family fought against him in France during those fatefully days of June 1944. They never had a bad thing to say about any German. unlike the men who couldn’t lift a weight but have courage to speak ill of these men on the internet. And now, our country falls apart at the behest of the same men. Thank you for your respect. There is still honor is this world if we strive for it. God bless.

It is bullshit they were brainwashed. The allies set the time bomb when they had dictated the Versailles on the Germans. There is no pure good and bad in this world, and to be honest with you, Germans were better than the allies and USA. Now all we see and hear the voice of winners and their brainwash.

I always pay respects all over Normandie in cemeteries and other monuments, and it always includes here. A few years back I met a man who I am now friends with from the 12th SS who was paying tribute to Michael and his crew. As part of it was White Rose for Michael's wife who may or may not now be alive. Since I place a White Rose for her and Michael's honor and his crew.

    Some facts about Michael Wittmann:
    - He refused to receive the Knight's Cross unless his gunner Bobby Woll also received the award. Both got theirs.
    - He ordered his men to rescue a Russian tank crew engulfed in flames by padding them with bed rolls. They survived and were taken prisoner, with Wittmann ensuring they got the best medical treatment.
    - He valued his anti-tank gun kills more than his tank kills, because the former were the ones who knocked out the most German panzers as they were often well hidden.
    - He gave a speech to Henschel factory workers (who made Tiger tanks) in order to boost morale.
    - Prior to his death, he volunteered to lead the SS Tiger division despite being in reserve because the supposed leader couldn't cope with the situation.

Foreign graveyards are normally considered the responsibility of the country of origin of the fallen and in some cases, they hold a sovereign right over the land area of the graveyard. France declined to allow Germany the right to do this, considering that after two wars, Germany had done enough damage to France and the last thing France was going to do was concede land to Germany, so the graveyard is kept clean and tidy by volunteers from several countries. It is normally a courtesy for countries to keep each others' graveyards in good shape, which is why British and Commonwealth graveyards world wide are looked after, in many cases, by local people. America tries to bring home as many of it's fallen as they can find and will pay for the upkeep of foreign graves.
