- Okay… the title is click bait but that is exactly what this video describes. JD Caputo goes over the 3 key elements you need to accomplish to win a fight.
1. Take away their ability to see
2. Take away their ability to breath
3. Take away their ability to walk
Would love to hear your feedback please comment below.
Very practical simple moves. Very well demonstrated. These situations happen a lot in real fights especially on the streets. It's all about leverage as demonstrated here in the vid. More power, guys! Pugay!
Ogami Itto thanks brother!🙏🙏
Truth be simple. Execution is difficult. Understanding bridges the gap and you did that well. Thank you 🙏🏽.
"Boom I got breathing" Im pretty sure that knife poke to the neck is game over.
Very good idea taking away vision, breathing and mobility!
I'm familiar with taking away hands, especially when weapons are involved.
If you immobilize hands most weapons can't be used against you. Hand to hand combat with immobilized hands is not likely to happen either.
If you want to de-escalate the threat level, you promptly immobilize (destroy if needed) their hands.
Together with the "vision, breathing, mobility" you now have an excellent model not only to win but also quickly de-escalate immediate threats that last beyond "knock outs wake ups".
Although i'm not a fan of knife drills it was great to see you couldn't replicate the first technique, that demonstrates the ability to flow naturally without pre-set forms, so creating natural movement, very nice
Great. Makes total sense. Sight, wind, mobility.
I always go for the eyes or the throat, its just what ive been taught and how we train every day. Its ugly but when it comes to life and death, its either you or him.
Good mentality to have stay safe
This has to be the best descriptive demonstration of practical 'martial arts' that I have seen since Luke Holloway. It was down to earth, fully explainative, and FUN. Thanks guys!
My first instructor drilled these 3 exact concepts into us nonstop while also teaching us creativity in our defense.
Shoshin the Beginners Mind you had a great fist instructor 🙌
Hey, Budo Brothers! Longtime To-Shin Do (Ninjutsu) practitioner here (studied since 2005). I appreciate this direct approach to principals that overlap with many other arts. There are some great examples of application in this short video.
Also, I feel compelled to add that this is the EXACT same "Quicksilver" method that Terry Silver explains in Karate Kid 3. I'm almost disappointed that nobody else pointed that out by now in a 4 year old video.
Keep up the great work.
Amazingly simple and direct JD. No time wasted - only exact theory demonstrated with professionalism and humility. Thank you. A lifelong martial arts admirer and recent kali practitioner at 47 years of inner city life experience. Budo !
Chapeau Mr. JD, simple, effektiv, and at the Object ! As, our Friend Bruce Lee Said :"" I ' m affraid from Somebody WHO has practice only One Punch, but 10.000 times """. Soo, my friend, this Man who practice only One Punch, but 10.000, No one on this Planet, would ever Stop this Punch ! Why ? Because this Punch is Perfect, in Speed, Force and Skill !!! """ A PREPARED Man, is a safe Man !""".
Eye, breath and Legs... Thanks really appreciated it.
The marine corps martial arts motto," one mind, any wespon". Also one person should not be practicing one style but rather mutiple styles that way you have more than one tool for the job. Where one fails, there will always be a backup
Very illustrative... I love how you can apply different styles to the fight,... Simple and effective. Thanks a lot Master JD
This is absolutely great 👍🏾 knowledge to keep in mind when your defending yourself in a fight! See, breathe, and walk! If you can accomplish this when you really need to, you’ll win every time!
Yes! Thank you!
Awesome very simple and some of my favorite techniques and affectivness
Noah Bryson thanks yes most of the time simple is best 🙏
"I can't even replicate half of that". That's a fighter.
That is a practical system of which seemingly looks is pretty good...
That's absolutely correct effect sight breathing or walking it ends there.
nice man, FMA is very effective, simple and accurate
Impressive and practical! Sadly not many good FMA schools around!
Awesome stuff! Very practical
Perfect technical stuff complementary to (Sport-Oriented) Taekwondo practice. Keep it up guys :)
Love the Hood-Gi 😂 Super cool concept
I love how Kali was used on the two scenario very practical and efficient.. Quick kill

Way to go, man.
You are great Sr
old video, but very insightful! good work
Great work thank yoU
Great and realistic approach to an unpredictable situation. Things to consider... martial arts training, in my experience, give you more confidence than actual realistic ways to get out of a situation; but confidence alone is the first line of defense. I can't tell you how often a fight doesn't escalate to punches just because your opponent can't sense your fear factor as he expects it. And also, if you're going to carry a knife know this: once you pull it out, it's because you're going to use it, so use it before someone uses it against you; otherwise keep in its holster until absolutely necessary. Also, go buy a raw pork leg or something meaty, put a layer of denim or leather jacket and practice cutting through it; not as easy as you'd think. And finally, when you cut someone's arm or shoulder, wherever in the body, they might go into shock by the sight of their own blood.....but then again so might you when you them bleeding. If they bounce back because of adrenaline rush, but you don't, you're dead. Once you inflict pain and your opponent is shaky, keep punching or cutting so they won't get up and take you down. But it's much better, much better to get the hell away from them as quickly as possible. Hurt someone enough and you'll be facing police investigators and potential lawsuits from family members. Think beyond the fight and the long list of reasons why you should train in deescalating situations rather than "neutralizing the threat", it's worth it.
Love the video guys
I'm Love Your Video. 😆
Awesome!!
Awesome!
Nice and effective
Excelente video ecuador
This concept works well with a tactical flashlight. That takes out their vision for free, so you just need to either get their breathing or mobility from striking.
BLINDING/CHOKING POWDER! :p and then you have to say "ninja vanish" as you run away.
lol great video.
Personally, I wouldn't use my thumb to the eye because it's easily damaged when it's away from the palm, what I would do is bend my index and keep my hand together and just bounce poke the eye, the rest is great! Thank you
101% agreed.
Dude that’s a sick kimono 👘 hoodie sweater
nice nice master
Good stuff
exactly ~~ 💥💥
Keyboard warriors : “ how come you aren’t fighting to the death ?”
Can You Do A Hip Throw Defense.
See, breath, walk.
Things you love to see💯
😂 yeah, it's great!
He doesn’t like to show off but his movements are sharper than ninety percent of the “tuhons” we see online
kali is just brutal... im a person who doesn't squim easily at the sight of blood, gore and morbidity.. but sometimes imagining certain fights and context while studying kali makes my knees weak.. "lacerating the eye with a thumb and a knife??.. oh my goodness... no, no, no, no!)
How can I learn marshal art. I've love. Am passionate.
What is this mans name? Hid the best I've seen in a long time. Id like to watch more of his teachings
Kevin Morley JD Caputo we will be doing more videos with him
@@BudoBrothers thank you bud!
I have never seen the two on one grip/arm tie in FMA, where can I find more historical evidence for this? Or is it mostly a modern approach?
Hi! Sorry this might not be historical evidence but I am from the Philippines and from my experience, we trained this movement as well, the principle of leverage is applied, forearm+bicep, being close to the opponent, equals control.
where is the 2 on 1 grip in kali?
Very< practical system, just one word about knives.
If you fight knive against knive , there will be 2 loosers every time. we tried it. Noone wins , he just dies later.
Wow
Pilipino martial arts is best martial arts

That's great, however guys are afraid to fight now.
They're shooting, a man 6'1 was afraid to fight me, and was ready to pull a gun.
However the police came, it's crazy how these young men are too afraid to take a hit...smh
puting him unconscious doesn't even count anymore?
I believe that covers see and walk all in one. 👌
LORD Thank You for saying "FIGHTs AIN'T PRETTY" ...who the HELL working FORMs when a TARGETs Fired Up and in your face! God forbid if you have multiple CQ Opponents ...HooAh
after you go to prison for killing him with that knife will that work in prison also lol
knife heaven and earth in action , upstairs downstairs to the femoral and get out nice and simple . and not hanging around to see your handywork !.... simple !
"how many fights have you ever seen where it went smooth?" Do you guys actually see a lot of fights? Who's starting them? Where? Why? I've lived in NYC since 1986. I lived for a long time in two of the most dangerous neighborhoods during their absolute worst periods (now it's safe.) I've never been attacked, and in all these years I've seen one serious fight up close. One. Outside of a club in 1992. Do you guys really see a lot of fights? I've trained in Aikido for 11 years. More recently I've wondered if too many fights are started by people who get into MMA training and get really pumped to use what they know. A lot of troubled, not very smart macho dudes who are real proud of themselves and starting problems and making the world an uglier place. Also; about the 2 knives in this video... In most U.S. communities, if you're not defending yourself at home, even if you're forced to defend yourself you'll likely still be charged for having carried the knife and you'll go to prison. So you had better be good at capturing the 1 knife from your attacker.
Street fight environment. Full butcher's job. How to explain it to the judge?
"he tried to rob me & didn't pay for the ham"
Kali should not be taught.
Vocabulary is good , practically questionable
Don't do videos and not explain who the "artist" is! What's his training and level???
very nice however, i would like to point out that not every scenario calls for this, reserve this strategy for life or death or weapon v weapon scenarios. Even like this you better have a good lawyer, and pray you don't get legal repercussions especially in left leaning states in The US/countries like Canada/EU where self defense laws are backwards and favoring those criminals.
but if you use this tactic in a street fight, or vs a bouncer, or a drunk or a homeless person attacking you, you are straight going to jail afterwards.
Budo Brothers needs to stop using lame hip hop stuff over and over. The same gay music on every damn video.
MaharlikaAWA this is actually an EDM song 🤷♂️
