My heart was very happy for our sisters and brothers!
I heard that the government basically told him he couldn't use them for religious purposes...and the first thing he does is re-bless the feathers! Aho! Can't take away religious freedoms!
Congratulations to Robert Soto, a great Lipan Apache Elder. He got his feathers back. AHO!
I'm so happy u got ur feathers back they had no right to take them in the first place
Tears.....I have Tears.....some of JOY....and some of great sadness....that WE ARE STILL NOT FREE...TO BE OURSELVES...
My family and I have been blessed to have Robert Soto as a very dear and close friend during our time in Fort Hood, Texas. Robert and his family always made us feel at home when we went to Pow Wow's and we were very fortunate to have such a great and loving friend as him in our lives. It's a terrible thing the Government did to him and I'm so glad to hear and see his feathers returned.
continuing to share this important win 10 years after the Holy Spirit told Pastor Robert Soto to keep up the fight and he listened and the battle was won. Congratulation Pastor Robert, other need to understand this and not give up. AHO!!
My Great Grandmother’s People, my PEOPLE!!! A’Ho!
Thank you for showing us this video. I am pleased things were returned.
I know Robert Soto and it is such an answered prayer for him and his tribe to win this battle. He followed the Holy Spirit guidance and won!

I'm DNA traced back 23,000 thousand years in North America. Sacred family
I hope the federal agents who took the feathers have been somehow punished.
This is so awesome
I’m not native from Africa- why Is the government so against him using the feathers for religion? Isn’t there a first amendment
Any one know the name of Mr Roberts church and how can I reach him?
Tho it’s good it’s always sickening that someone somewhere can make native peoples subject to ink and paper for something that is as a part of them as there first breath.
Justice at last
Hasn't the government taken away enough from Native Americans?
did they say why they we're taken?
They didn't but you can research it. The argument the government used is that Lipan are not federally recognized. There's a lot of intricacies to the law and tons of historical accounts verifying who the Lipan are. Texas doesn't even have a mechanism for state recognition. So this is a HUGE legal victory for Native people from non-federally recognized tribes.
WOW
This is a great story but still a tragedy for some. The First Amendment limits the governments power over the individual (Religion). However, the limit also calls for being a federally recognized Native Tribe to be able the use of Eagle Feathers for culture and religious means. What about the tribes that are not recognized? What about the Indigenous people of Mexico/South America/ and Canada? If a Native is from Canada or Mexico, and their religion calls for the use of the majestic eagle feathers, and they become U.S. citizens, are they allowed to use these? No they are not. Why? Because of only federal recognition. Truly sad.
Americans brag on "religious freedom", but if you are not of one the three major monotheistic religions, count on repression. Remember the Boarding School days? Even Irish Catholics were once very discriminated against especially in New York. We have a very long way to go to live up to our (National) aspirations.
