55months that’s close to 5 years that’s pretty steep price to pay for eagle parts. But it’s crazy that their is a waiting list for eagle parts.

I hate how the animal is treated it hurts to see sacred animals to be treated likenthat. They shouldn't be wrapped in bags especially garbage bags. And we dont pay for them from when i filed out my forum that let me have a feather and a whole eagle i never had to pay.

and how does anyone know for ure that the person FOUND the feather. There is no way--so it HAS to be 100% illegal to possess on e. EVERY person who bought one off the black market or shot a bald eagle is going to say they just found it laying on the ground. Dude--think before you speak

@@kilo393 I'm not sure I agree, while I think the war on drugs is an absurd waste of tax payers money and inequitably incentivizes private prison use, it isn't the same as any species that is or has been threatened by extinction or endangered for the purpose of poaching. Native Americans have a sacred tradition with Eagle feathers, but really there shouldn't be a general motivation for the mass populace to keep feathers of an endangered species in the first place.

I think it's pretty BS that normal Americans cannot possess bald eagle parts. I mean I understand the "exception" here, but who's tax dollars have gone into the massive restoration effort? We can pretend like the bald eagle is some sacred possession to the USA, but it's just a joke. I for one seriously would love to try to use one of those eagle claws as a hook, so I can re-live the tradition of the native tribes.
