@@Forged407 TFL reported some information on the Bronco that was obtained through a leak. I believe it was photos of the interior if I remember correctly. In any case, this resulted in Ford disinviting TFL from all Bronco related press events, and I believe also the recalling of all the press vehicles TFL had from Ford at the time. Considering that TFL did not cause the leak and several other publications took advantage of the same leak, many people, me included, found Ford's reaction to be very unfair hence the #FreeTFL thing that had been going on for a while. The fact that TFL is once again getting press vehicles from Ford would indicate that Ford finally got over it.
I watch TFL only, I don’t specifically look for Fords. This is my first interested in a Ford truck. Thanks TFL

@@charlesbronson11 yes. Maybe under 30k ish miles. Never off-road and bed only used to haul sports equipment and occasional HD runs. I would consider that lightly used.

I'm reading this in the spring of 2024 before Easter. I traded my older 2011 F150 in for a 2020 Lariat F150 5.0 with only 12,800 miles. While I could have just purchased a new one, I had been looking for the deals. This one caught my eye in October when the owner traded. I watched it sit on the lot for almost 3 months, priced at $47,900. The market took the nose dive and I went in the week before Christmas and negotiated $42k. Yep, I just saved myself over $35,000 by buying a used truck. I'm right there with you.
For a moment I thought, “The passenger door opens by itself or like a Rolls Royce!” Then I remembered....there’s a cameraman. That truck is gorgeous, despite the absolute letdown. Nice job, as always, Andre.
I can't wait to see the Raptor reveal!! Ford finally pulled their heads out their a$$es and invited TFL back. They can't have you stroking Ram's ego with all the TRX content.
I like the physical buttons for seat heat/cool and steering wheel!
Only thing that Ford is bad at is making a nice set of Wheels. Those Wheels don't look great or even premium.
It seems like Lariat and below get the best wheels.
My Lariat with the Sport Pkg has nice wheels. 5 spoke in dark grey.

@@jjburkk I got the 3.5 Ecoboost non hybrid. It’s awesome on power. I wouldn’t get the 5.0 personally given the oil consumption issues and the cylinder deactivation on it.
I thought I wanted the king ranch cuz of the western interior but I kinda like the platinum interior more now. I like the shuttle premium touches over the in your face king ranch

It always amazes me how much the prices are for packages and options on trucks. You can get a f150 or ram from a huge range of prices.
I wonder if you put something under the shifter and press the button to put it down will it know something is under there and come back up automatically? Maybe you could try that in another video. As always great review!
This is a beautiful truck. I like F150s but they are out of my budget. I paid 42 for my Trailboss and it’s a fantastic truck I can’t stomach anything over 50K and certainly not 70. I think I’m now over the line between middle age and old fashioned cause I think ima keep the boss like forever at this point. Unless I win the lottery.

@@josephkraft5640 well remember if you got a lariat, FX4 with a 2.7 or coyote 5.0 you would pay around 42k at the dealer. Sticker on a trail is is 50k so you got 8k off. When I sold trucks 6-9k off was normal. Over the past 3 years Chevy has marked down trucks more than ram and ford to boost sales.

Ya but 70k is msrp. I had the chance to get a 2020 Platinum for $56k here at a local dealership. Chose to go with a Lariat for under $49k.
QUESTION : If you LOWERED the SHIFT LEVER to use the work surface ; then , needed to drive away , and after you closed the work surface ,
the SHIFT LEVER REFUSED to raise up , are you stuck - unable to drive away ?

I just see a ton of stuff that’s going to break. The shifter, the tailgate, the seats. It’s very nice, but the sensible side of me just sees a ton of stuff that will eventually go wrong.

Beautiful truck. I’ll take a platinum in Ford’s Rapid Red with black package. I never use my sunroof so I’m ok without it. It’s about time truck manufacturers spent some of their huge profits on tech while making a much better product. However, the $72K MSRP is high and still creeping north. No one in the middle class will be able to afford one, further defining a broader two class system of haves and have nots. My loaded Tundra platinum back in ‘13 was $42k. Prices went up almost exponentially.
Love seeing Andre floor it right into a school zone. I love these F150's, but the level of technology in them just scares me. As these luxury pickups start approaching German luxury car levels of tech and features, it will also mean that these trucks are also going to be very expensive as they reach higher miles
Totally. Cut the weird electric shifter thing, and just do it by hand. Screw the strange tailgate stuff and the huge screen. I just want a normal truck with the V8 that can make 400 horse reliably for 250 to 400k miles
@@andretsang7337 then don’t get a platinum. If you don’t want all of those features, get an STX or XLT and call it a day. Not sure why there’s so much negativity on ford giving people options for new tech if they want it.

@@trevorduwve4578 I have an 18xlt. What tech features does yours have that you think is too much? Most auto companies are being forced to add safety features in order to sell their vehicles. Most safety features my 18 has are now required by law.

One thing Ford does that I don't understand... The tow mirrors are a stand-alone option, not included in the Tow Pkg. My Lariat diesel has every available option, including the tow pkg and trailer brake controller, except the tow mirrors. Kinda pisses me off. Yes, I could have ordered a truck, but I would have lost the $15k discount I got for buying an in stock truck. Ram's tow pkg includes the mirrors. I don't know about GM. It just makes sense to me to make the mirrors part of the pkg., especially the max tow pkg. I looked into getting the factory tow mirrors, but because I have BLIS and the 360 cameras, the mirrors are over $2k.

I'm curious what you're talkin about? I have got a 2018 and a 2016 strip down XL and they both have tow mirrors. You just have to pull them out manually.
Correction: they both are super duty though.

@@blysccr They only cost $250 to upgrade from the stock mirrors if you order from the factory. They're not worth $2k through the parts dept.

I own a 2020 2500 Silverado Duramax/Allison. I made the mistake of taking an F450 Platinum for a test drive, and I loved it. It has about a 29 foot turning radius which is incredible for such a big truck. I just bought a 36’ 5th wheel. But, I am having a tough time giving up the rear view mirror camera, and the HUD. Yeah, yeah, yeah, terrible things to whine about.

Does it come with a oil drum mount in the bed so you can keep that 5.0 oil burner full. Maybe a neck brace for when the transmission decides to slam down a gear or barf bag after you spend 80k on a truck like this.
Dreaming about one is different to actually making the decision to pay money and buy one. In reality, I'd rather get a Baby Yoda.
@@blueslime1703 I mean not really. What would you rather buy, a 80,000 dollar SUV? If you think about it luxury trucks actually make a lot of sense. You get the nice luxury interior and exterior features of a nice SUV, and you can combine it with the capability and practicality of having a truck.

Or you could buy a Mercedes’ Benz for that price with that level of tech and luxury but get a much smaller car. Not saying 80k truck makes sense but they are giving you something for that money
Like the ‘18 mustang, and camaro they took a huge step in the wrong direction with the front end. It looks friendly, which should only be reserved for Minis, Volkswagens, and Fiats. I’m seeing an nice, but depressed sloth when I look at it.

Cars, trucks, suvs are too pricey now. There is no part of me that was to pay 70k for a truck. I definitely don't need a powdered tailgate

I'm not a fan of the folding shifter. They should have just went to the column shifter or a push/dial style. They just eliminate all the room from the console shifter and frees it up for a more usable space or a wireless charger, extra cup holder or storage.
I'm not a fan either. Do you know if a column shifter is more expensive because of the extra linkages etc?
Can you even configure this with column shifter? I saw videos when they showcased lower trim level f150-s (xlt I think) Those had column shifter.
So basicly they should be able to provide it (if they want to :P )
Edit: what I meant to ask: a platinum with column shifter (some extra storage in the center console) + flat surface

What I meant was if there is an option with center console (but with storage space, instead of the console shifter). That's why I was referring to the column shifter solution . I'd still love the flat work surface too. So basically if there is no shifter in the way that would be technically possible. Question: Is that option available? (If yes, what's the highest level?) It would be sad if the highest trim is lariat :( I heard that for some stupid reason, that can't be spec-ed with the flat seats. (That's why I asked the higher trims) Hmm. Need to revisit that configurator. (Sadly that still doesn't show the interiour according to specifications :/

Honestly, I want to see some Ike Gauntlet vids with older trucks. I understand that could be harder to do because its hard find some. But like lets say you made towing video with a 7.3 diesel. See how well it held up, even comparing it with a modern 6.7 or a Duramax of the time.

The heated steering wheel button on my ‘15 Platinum is right on the Home Screen. There is no digging through menus.

Amazing truck. Over 70k is kinda ridiculous though. Should be 55-60k at most. New trucks are insanely expensive. Wait 3 years and that truck will come down to like 50k.
The problem is finding one. Most people who save up and buy these trucks intend on using them for a long time.

70K plus for this one, I'm guessing? Yet, from outward appearances it looks pretty plain. Ford needs a "Trail Boss" type option. Everyone wants to throw stones at Chevy, but you can add that Trail Boss option to pretty much any Silverado in thier lineup. The lift and off road rubber make a huge appearance difference. Tons of folks buy a new truck, and throw the lift and tires on it the second they get home. Be nice if Ford offered that as an option.
They're adding it later this year. The F150 is getting a Tremor Pkg.

This isn't the hybrid. The 2k outlets run off an inverter hooked to the under hood 12V battery.

@@ramrider1453 Shouldn't ever need to replace it. It's not a wear item, like a battery. If it did fail out of warranty, should only be a couple hundred. It's pretty small.

Solid review. Very useful. I'll likely go Platinum and then fully load it up. I do have four questions I hope you can answer: First, do you know, in that deep front center console will a laptop fit inside when it is closed, and up to what size laptop? I prefer larger laptops like 16" or 17", so hopefully it will hold more than just the 13", but this issue would not keep me from getting the truck. Love that fold out front center console flat work surface. Second, do you know, can you get the Platinum with side rails along the outer edge of the cab's roof so that cross bars can be put up there without having to interfere with the door closing, and things like ski racks can be attached to those cross bars? I greatly prefer racks above the cab than over the bed. Third, do you know, would I be able to get the black exterior but have all that chrome blacked out, or at least the chrome/silver panel across the tailgate? And fourth, I saw your reviews of the new Yukon AT4 and Denali, and was considered one of those or even the Escalade, all full-size suv's, but I just love these Ford Pickups, so my question to you is, if all had decent, dedicated snow tires on them, do you think the F150 would be better, worse or roughly the same in its ability to handle bad winter weather and snow/icy roads? I think even at maximum adjustable air suspension height on the GM suv's, it's likely still a little less road clearance than on the Ford pickup, and there are other attributes besides road clearance important for slippery, snowy winter snowstorm roads.
Wish I could get interior all black leather but without those thin brownish stripes in the center of the seats. Wish there was a luxury version of the Platinum that made all the doors and front dash fully real leather. I assume I can option some form of cover for the bed in back, something hard but either foldable or roll up, since those are more versatile than the solid hard bed tops that just tilt up. I was going to get the new Gen 3 Raptor, what a beaut this is, and 6" wider too, but at 59 I'm not the crazy offroader of my youth anymore, just want to get anywhere, anytime in any kind of weather, especially snowstorms, and I do love the optional massaging and fully reclining front seats that can be had with the Platinum. Just call me an old gheezer, and yes, an old ski bum, Powder Hound truth be told. I'd go the Limited route but for two issues; I want black and single tone interior, not that blue and two tone, and I want the thicker rubber sidewall tires of the Platinum, at least the 20's if not 18's, no interest in 22"s on a pickup. I'd also get the larger 6'2" (or 6'5") bed, but only the 5.5 fits in my garage. Oh well. Will still work. And I think any ski's there won't be room for on the hoped for rack above the cab, will likely sit diagonally inside the bed. Ford seems to have outdone themselves once again. Beautiful looks, Maximum capability, and Maximum luxury! Love it!
