  • We checked out the Mini 8K now its time to check out the Mini 8KS. For a printer that's $100 cheaper is it $100 worse? or is it somehow better?

    Thank you for your videos they help out a lot. Would you ever consider buying a solidscape printer?

    I have the same USB disc issue with my Phrozen Sonic Mini 4k and I couldn't find any solution. I just tried a few other USB discs and found one that worked.
    Btw, I preordered Sonic Mini 8Ks but I didn't know that it is not locked to Chitubox. Great news, thanks!

    Does Phrozen have a resin that can withstand the vulcanizing process for spin casting?

    I appreciate your content, and I have two questions disguised as one if you have time to answer. What is the layer height that you print at, and do you do anything about layer lines? Are they just not visible in the resin print, or do you address them in the metal casting ? Thanks!

      0.05mm, print line visibility on the print is usually minimal however print orientation can effect how dramatic print lines appear. Usually they are not worth worrying about as normal sanding/polishing will remove them.

    Hrmm, idk about the single rail system. Back when I was still using the OG anycubic photon, I was getting z axis wobble which I fixed by upgrading to dual rails.
    The quality of the OG anycubic photon's rail assembly itself may have been the issue, but dual rail bring a peace of mind that it's physically impossible for it to wobble.

      Ya I totally get it. Although they went from duel to single they did beef it up a slight bit so there was soomme sort of consideration when they decided to get rid of it. Haven't seen any issues yet but you guys in the Discord will hear if that decision, or the way they've limited the fans, ultimately backfires.

    Do you know if any castable resin is able to produce similar resolution and details like the grey resin?

    • @UnratedPlayer21
      @UnratedPlayer21 Před rokem +2

      All of them. It's just because of the color difference you won't see the same details but they are there because you print on the same printer, same screen

    • @ClearMindJewellery
      @ClearMindJewellery  Před rokem +2

      This^. As we said in the video 8k resin is a bit of a misnomer or over-qualification as, if your settings are correct, the same quality will be achievable regardless of resin.

    • @allenl9214
      @allenl9214 Před rokem

      @@UnratedPlayer21 i dont know. Why do companies like B9 Creator sell different castable resins in different colors? Not all of them produce the same details. They could just sell one and tune best setting for it.

    • @ClearMindJewellery
      @ClearMindJewellery  Před rokem

      Most castable resins can produce the same detail if printed on the same printer. ITs in the printing and casting capabilities that you see the difference. Examples: its slightly flexible so you can put stones in prior to casting without breakage. Its high polymer so its rigged enough to print and hold filagree designs well. Etc Etc

    Just wanted to chime in that the original 8k does work with Lychee. We've been using ours with Lychee since the printer first came out. Totally agree that Chitubox is horrible though!

      Thanks a lot for this, I had ordered the 8k and was considering switching to the 8ks for just that reason but you've saved me the trouble.
