The economy is terrible rn. I live in the Midwest & gas is high. I filled up at Costco yesterday; that's supposed to be cheaper & it was $3.19/gallon. I go over my grocery budget every pay period! I've been watching meal plan videos & those videos that show how to eat cheap, shop your pantry, etc for help. 😮💨

New subbie here!! I love your envelope challenge box. When I discovered cash stuffing I immediately bought a set from Amazon and was super excited about it. By the time I opened it up, set it up and started using it etc, I was regretting jumping the gun in purchasing it instead of creating my own. By that time, it was too late to return it. 🤦🏻♀️ You are truly an inspiration. Thank you for showing the down and dirty truth of our economy without glamorizing cash stuffing. I look at my financials (I make more than you, no dependents but about 1/2 of what I make goes to help support my disabled father and paying off roughly $55,000 in debt) and feel like I should be way ahead of where I am. It’s disheartening. So thank you. Thank you for being REAL.
Go back to school is an unrealistic comment to make to someone. I have 2 college degrees with almost a perfect GPA and it means nothing but a bunch of student loan debts 🤦🏽♀️ Keep going my friend it’s tough for all of us you’re not in that boat alone. Don’t lose your motivation. 🙏🏼

I am with you. School is not for everyone. I thought so as well. But after years of school it's crazy. It's really hard out here, I have a two income household with two kids and we care barley making it each month. So keep up the good work.

Minimum wage in Ga is $7.25, gas prices in Atlanta is $3.38 regular unleaded. I’m struggling to make ends meet even on a teacher salary. I’ve never seen the economy in this shape, I’m thinking about getting a part time job but nobody is really hiring.
Hey Hey. How have you and the kids been. Yes! My friend that lives in mcdoungh Georgia is getting ready to move back to Texas. She said it’s to much down there. She was working a full time job as well as doing door dash and it wasn’t enough income for a single person there. I wish her well on her move.

I totally agree, inflation is out of control! My husband and myself were never high income earners and now that we are retired life is really tough. You are doing a great job getting your credit card debt paid and budgeting your money. Take care.
I have cut corners to save money I make my own fabric softener and dryer sheets my own laundry powdered I coupon for some stuff and use ibotta fetch I cook from scratch I have a toddler so I keep my laundry powdered simple and safe for small child sensitive skin ..
I do meal prep helps on power bill and cleaning and that way if I have cooked food at home I dont eat out I'm staying at home mom my meals are based on diabetic friendly meals and I also try do a stew or soup once a week all meals are based on seasonal produce and sales for the werk at Aldi I also love Aldi female products blossom maxi and panty liners I shop for used clothes at my local Goodwill and yardsales when it warm up saved up for soda stream maker machine for pop soda I'm only one drinks soda at my home

I also agree with your ending. The low paying jobs are still needed. Everyone deserves to be paid accordingly. We all deserve to live, not just barely survive. The CEO’s are all making millions and not paying their employees accordingly. It’s horrible out there

I would try to put $3 or 5 in your envalope each week. In case u need a snack or drink during the week. If it's left rollover or put in another binder or savings challenges/ 100 envalopes challenge
I appreciate your comment about the price of things going down. I would like to challenge it by saying you, me and many many others deserve and need higher pay. Minimum wage should not be $7ish. The cost-of-living increase in wages is looooong overdue and is a basic human need/right.

Did you get food from your local food bank? I get it twice a week, every 2 week. It help me a lot.. And run doordash, uber eat definitely a good side hustle too. Love your chanel! Thank you for sharing to us!❤
You're so right, the economy is out of control!!! You said your gas is almost $3...our gas here in Jacksonville, FL is $3.45 some places are higher. 😢 I agree I want things to go back, but it may never go back💔

I love your challenge envelopes! Congrats on paying off the credit card. I am inspired! Another channel I really like is Under the Median. They meal plan, but they work around what's on sale. They also split their grocery budget into 5 sections so there's money each week to build up a pantry. Might be helpful? All the best to you and your daughter.

Nice video, first time here. Please make sure you have the extra money in a yield saving account. I went to Aldi yesterday and my total was like about $120 I was shocked, the same items used to be about $60 🥲 and gas is like $3.60 per gallon never ending.
If you enjoy cleaning, you could also add personal house/office cleaning as a side hustle and not sure if you already have cleaning videos.

Question on the saving challenge... originally, you were going to do the #6 envelope. Instead you used $3 for the #3 & added $2 to $10 to stuff #12. Where did the other $1 go, b/c you didn't show it on camera?
It appears as if it was placed in the #3 box in error.

I will do a detailed video on that. I got started almost 10 years ago when I left my husband. I applied at a complex that had immediate availability but normally you go to the complex and apply. They place you on a waiting list. I will do a more detailed video on this soon. So sub if your interested if your not already. Thanks luv❤
